It was my CHILDHOOD Dream to want to see that Show, and do a Meet-and-Greet with Barney, Baby Bop, BJ, and Mr./Mrs. Peek-A-Boo!
This attraction always holds a special place in my heart. Though it no longer exists, the memories of seeing Barney in person remain constant. I remember seeing this for the first time at two years old. I couldn't keep my eyes off Barney and barely moved an inch. I also remembered how my parents persuaded me to go dance with the dinos but was too nervous! I was even baffled by the playground sets next door, it was like I was living in a world made just for me. I'm so glad I was able to experience my time with Barney at Universal for all these years!! ❤

That was amazing. I had no idea that a promotional video for a day at the park with Barney exists And it is really cool of some of the interviews like Barney's creator Sheryl Leach and Dennis DeShazer It is a pity that it was shut down into the pandemic but man, if it was around like a couple of years, I would've got the chance to see Barney myself.

Universal was awesome in the 90s and early 2000s.
Amazing! I really love this. It opened when I was 5 and 23 years later I finally saw Barney there in 2018 at age 28 and I still felt young like a kid in the 1990s again. I really miss seeing him there and its sad alot of stuff from the 1990s isn't there anymore.
It’s funny, because I wasn’t feeling good this week and one of these Day In The Park videos made me cry, despite never really seeing it for myself.
I really miss this attraction ❤️ whenever I went to universal, a day in the park with barney was always the very first attraction I went to before I went on anything else because that show meant a lot to me. everytime I got a hug from barney, it was like a dream come true for me and it always cheered me up whenever I had a bad day, I wish they could bring back a Barney meet and greet because there are still a lot of barney fans here in Florida, including me, that would love to go see our favorite purple dinosaur again

I saw this show back in 1996, but I was like 1-2 years old so I have 0 memory of it lmao.
I do still have a couple photos though, there was a pic of the character at 4:47 and I had no idea what they were from until now lol.
I believe they tore down The Bates Motel to build this attraction.

The Barney costume used in “A Day in the Park with Barney” in 1995-1996 shares the resemblance from the costume used in Seasons 3 and 9.
Barney’s eyes are a lot less sunken than the previous costumes and the shadows around them are permanently removed having the same color as the body himself. His teeth are taller, his tail is more curved, his toes are larger and closer to the soles and the ankles are only connected at the back.

Beautiful very beautiful I loved every minute of it I loved how Sheryl teased the next projects, but she didn't mention the Big Surprise Tour, my guess is that the show is still in the works, or she wanted to keep it under wraps.

It’s been a while since my last comment, but this comment is a question regarding A Day in the Park with Barney itself: you said before that all of the Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ costumes were surrendered to Mattel shortly after the attraction ended. Do you or anybody else know what has happened to them since then? Were they destroyed? Are they in the process of being heavily restored due to the terrible condition they were left in? I’d love to know!
Bonnie land opened that year and it closed 2022 for a new theme park theme
