About Camp Camp:
Camp Camp tells the story of Max, a jaded ten year old, who finds himself stuck at a dysfunctional summer camp run by a shady business mogul who is looking to turn a profit any way he can. The cynical Max will have to survive annoyingly cheerful counselor David, the weird cast of campers, and bizarre surprises at every turn before he can escape for home.

Everyone always goes on about Max and him being neglected (and maybe abused) by his parents, but can we get some love for the other kids with shit parents, like Nurf, Harrison, Nikki, Dolph... Only Nerris really seems content in her parental relationships.

Erid also seems pretty content with her family life. But yeah, I agree that there needs to be a bit more focus on other character's struggles too. Don't get me wrong, Max is great, but Preston, Harrison... I'd like to know even more about them & the others as well.
Dolph seems to have a good relationship with his mother though

I think personally for me, the episode when David found out that Max's parents didn't even care enough to get him properly signed up to camp and were literally just ditching him at camp so he wouldn't be their "problem" anymore was one of the most heart breaking and heart warming episodes ever all rolled into one.
mhm and the thing is it happens all the time in real life and i can relate to most characters in this show like max its kind of comforting to see this in a way because it brings attention to the problems in modern day society and in society back then it very nice show

I feel like David and Max both are pretty sad people but both show pain in different ways. David tries to act happy and not show pain while Max pushes anger out on others instead of saying that he's not ok. I might be wrong, but that's just how I view it.

And THIS is one of the reasons camp camp is one of my favorite shows. I was kind of hoping that they would talk about David. There is a lot of unnecessary David angst out there but there is a lot of evidence of David having some emotional problems- with the more obvious ones being episodes where he cracks (the forest, order of the sparrow specifically,) and a lot of unpleasant comments about his dad- I really hope some of this will be answered in season 5! and I also hope there is more topics talked about with all the characters along with the comedy! I seriously love this show! T_T thank you 💞

I kinda want more episodes its such a interesting cool cartoon
So far camp camp is one of the best and most mature adult cartoon I ever watched. Since almost all modern adult cartoons are trying hard to be like family guy and simpsons and adding unnecessary "mature" imagery but this is what I'm looking for it's good story, comedy and most of all the curse and they add mature contents in a very natural humanistic way not just for cheap laughs.
