i got a cut tulip from school as an award (idk why), it was weak at first, after a few hours after spreading the pollen and giving it water, it hardened
did you get the shortest and slowest growing variety you could find? It really shouldnt take 3 months for a tulip to flower

Honestly, we do not know the specie of tulip. We bought the bulbs in a garden shop. Sorry.
When it comes to the humidity, we keep it by capillarity and once in a while, we atomize it.

Does it mean this flower won't last a day or two after it blooms?
It will last for a good couple of weeks if left on the plant, not cut. As long as the soil is moist. It will close at sunset and open again at sunrise - every day for two weeks!
