Ah wonderful extra stage. The stage itself is...well it's hard as hell but for the most part all of the attacks are predictable...Or at least has a dodgeable pattern, however there are a couple of attacks that just aren't worth trying to dodge.
Mugetsu as a boss isn't too bad with only two phases. Her first phase is very luck based since she randomly teleports around while attacking whereas her second phase is basically summed up as "Know your hitbox". It's seriously more of a warmup to Gengetsu.
Gengetsu however is a mean bitch. Many of her attacks are very fast paced with very condensed bullets. Simply put if you haven't figured out where your hitbox is properly you are screwed. Seriously I should not be only halfway through the fight saying to myself "Oh so that's what the graze counter maxed out at. Good to know!"
However despite this she's not to awful bad. Very few other attacks are messy luck based patterns so knowing what your getting into along with practice to get good reflexes and you'll beat it.

I like how the victory dialogue happened mid-bomb, so there's just a picture of Marisa in a victory pose while the short exchange plays out.

Unidentified Fantastic Story
Touhou 4: LLS is a pretty decent/alright-ish game. It's way better than the first three games, imo. The improvement over them is notable. it was fun on easy mode but got a little frustrating on normal mode as usual. It would've been good if it wasn't for the random annoying lag and bullets flying at mach 3 speed. Most of the patterns were bearable, but with a recipe like that, once you see the bullets flying at you, it's already too late. I beat it on easy with 3 deaths then on normal with 2 continues. For some reason I didn’t get a 6th stage but I don’t really care. Don’t even get me started on the extra stage, lol. While it’s insane to try for the first time, and the music is solid, I can’t even imagine how hard it is with all of that ridiculous lag and mach 4 bullets everywhere. Well, it's a PC-98 game with some flaws and aspects that haven’t aged well so it's not really surprising. At least it improved a lot upon 1, 2, 3 but i wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. I'm just going to try the extra stage and then move on to 5
(Wow, that extra stage was actually insane. I don’t know what in the world was going on, but i died at the white orb midboss, lol)

I think they run in 60fps. The problem is I'm reuploading my old videos, but back when these videos were first produced UA-cam didn't support 60fps videos yes (I don't think it was until Touhouvania 1 was I able to upload in 60fps)

Where is your hitbox?
Approximately at the base of Marisa's back, around the tip/end of her hair. Sadly it wasn't until Touhou 7 was the hitbox finally made visible.
I can beat Shuusou Gyoku's extra but can't even beat this one or MS
