    How I wish that you taught to us at our College. I barely go to college because when I do, and attend the lectures, i do not feel like looking at my book again. It's thoughtless reading, half-hearted attempts made to explain beautiful pieces of literature reduced just to 'syllabus'. But it is when you teach, ma'am, that I can actually feel the text much like I used to feel in my school, giddy for the lectures taught to us by my favourite English teacher.
    Needless to say, you are the best professor I've found, if not at college but on this platform.
    This analysis and piece moved me to tears. Thank you.

    This is my third time listening to the same lecture about Dream children, this is probably one of the most heart touching things I've read in these two years of studying English literature, thank you for making me connect with the story as if it was my own ma'am ❤

    Gosh, I never have felt being taught such gracefully for the short while I have been studying this major. The explanation, each step from the introduction to the end was just wonderful.

    I have to wonder how much this work influenced 'The Turn of the Screw." The works seem to be mirrors of each other, in certain respects.

    Ma'am but one thing about which i am kind of confused that why did he write “but John L. (or James Elia) was gone forever.”? His brother certainly was gone but why did the narrator persona consider himself gone too? Was it the connection and love towards his brother that made him feel that his existence was being wiped away from the earth with his brother's as well? Or was it the sorrow of not having his love interest and his dream children with him in this lifetime?

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop  8 місяців тому +2

      His persona was linked to his imaginary world. The world disappeared and so did the persona.

    Madam, can you please tell me the basic differences between an essay and a short story?

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop  6 місяців тому

      A short story is fictional, entirely imaginative. An essay is non fiction. Even personal essays are not entirely imaginative but autobiographical
