- Upgrading my Savage Axis 30-06 has been a long time coming and it was worth the wait with this premier piece of glass. Cut and dry hands on overview and quick install of the crème de la crème optic that is the LEUPOLD VX-3HD 3.5-10x50!
Leupold scope rings come with screws that use a coating, that Leupold calls Nylok, that does not require the use of thread-locker. Nice scope.
Interestingly enigmatic. Could have saved $9.
I clicked on a Betty Crocker recipe and this is what it brought me to?
This is the Betty Cocker link.
Looks like medium would of worked, I had thought about the same scope but didn’t know which height I should go with in my setup. Thanks for posting.
Update video with medium rings is coming soon. Good eye.
Have to get you out with me for yotes one night. Thermal scopes and lots of fun
100% interested, Are you running an ATN?
Gosh I'm so tired of seeing video after video of guys that completely set up there rifle sighting system wrong. Why on earth with a sporter style low comb stock. Why on earth would you put a 50mm scope and high rings. You dud it all wrong and you will constantly have eye relief and paralax issues because you completely did that wrong
I agree. I would not be able to have a proper cheek weld with this set up however; WATCH THE REST OF THE VIDEO AND NOTICE IM NOT ZEROING UNTIL I GET A COMB RISER.
@CROOKEDACRESOLUTIONS my bad. And I went lil far w my ranting. But I just see so many vids that show the wrong everything these days. New people comming into the game rely on us guys that been doing these things for awhile. We owe it to them to post only correct information and procedures as c we'll as correct gear to use ware n when.
You need a 32 ta 40 mm scope and low rings with a low comb stock. Completely wrong in every way.
I know it’s a long video. But it has all the answers buttercup.
nice accurate rifle, excellent scope. the weak link is your cheap scope mounting system. bad mistake to show uneducated viewers. your just wasting your money and more importantly risking that life time shot at a trophy of a life time trying to saving a few bucks. good rings and mounts are the bed rock of accuracy and also the cheapest part of the equation for success !
Yes there are more premium scope mounts and yes I did go with the budget option. I did get recommendations from friends who run the exact model rings on 300 win mag and 300 wby mag. The trick is to torque keeper clamps to spec. Over torque leads to flex and eventually loss of friction and thus lose scope mount.
Utube dude is full of them, females get million views and likes
@@walterquick8649I am confusion.
Which rings would you have gone with instead?
