  • Review of 360: Three Sixty on PSX as part of the Complete Playstation Review Series.
PAL only combat racing shooter released in 1999 developed by Smart Dog and Publish by Cryo Interactive.
To be honest, I feel that I'm letting people down with this video. A lot of the focus of this channel has been to talk about the eerie wonder to be found within games, even like this, but here, I just felt so exhausted after the experience that it was hard to maintain that focus. I really wanted to talk about the lodelor, the atmosphere, and the unique visual assets, among other things. The reflections on the ice were pretty good for games of the time, the music really wasn't terrible, and each level was legitimately sprinkled with tiny details that certainly invoke fascination. I spoke to someone recently that mentioned that the game's source code was actually left on the disc. Was this on purpose or by mistake? Was it so the game could be ported?
I went back and forth on releasing the video in this state, but I think I ultimately came to the decision that sometimes BBG videos have to deviate a little bit in situations that call for it, in order for me to be able to get back on track for future videos.
I promise I'll delve more into those elements again. This time around, I just had to take a break from that approach. Mostly just because of how I felt, overall. I'm sorry if any of you came here for a bit of lodelor as an escape, and left feeling let down. I love and appreciate the little community built around this whole project and I'll continue to do my absolute best. 💙

not every game is good pal, some games have potential, some are just plain dull, letting ppl know that a game is bad is as good as telling that a game is good! sharing information and feeling is what matter! really nice video BTW! ^^

@@bored90sgamersbox68 It feels good to hear that, because I feel like I would be lacking integrity if I did the obligatory, "look at these cool things," when I genuinely don't feel like doing that.

Shame to hear the experience wasn’t very good. What attracted me to this game was the the look of the thing: lonely naturalistic tracks juxtaposed with futuristic hover racing, which stands out against contemporary titles, and kinda still does. So much that I’m still tempted to try it at some point-though it’s good to know more of the pitfalls of the game before going in.

Whoa, what? I think this is the first time I hear that a racing game respawns you in the completely wrong direction! That is just insane! Not that the other problems are any better, of course, it's just that this problem is unique...uniquely terrible.
Better stick with games like Jet Moto, Wipeout (or wipE′out″ ) or Hydro Thunder.
Thank you so much for this review and sitting and playing through this ... game.
P.S.: That is a great shoutout to Sean Seanson!

love that you used the court of the crimson king album during your horror story lol
it is unfortunate that this game is not good because a wave race with guns and explosions sounds like it could be a good time

In a way it was nice to experience some of the downright bizarre game design choices seen in Cryo published PS1 games from somebody other than myself. Respawning backwards and multi-choice paths that result in you also going backwards, sure are something.
At least you'll be spared a Cryo game for a while now.... well at least I think you will 😅

Its frustrating how simple it is to fix the issue of going down the wrong path. Raise the elevation of path a and have it be a drop off where it meets b. Players get to take their combat racer off a sweet jump that is now a wall to funnel them to path b on the return trip.

Ayyyyy... Where's my shout-out?! (JUST KIDDING! This is a fantastic video!)
Oh my, as soon as I saw that Cryo logo, I knew this was going to be a bad time. That menu alone... Even without the threat of seizures, the constant shaking just gave me a headache, even for the limited amount of time it was on-screen in this video. Also, there is nothing wrong with not wanting to go too far in depth with a game you despised - you've set a monumental task ahead of you, and not overextending with something you don't want to talk about is just fine. You're not letting anyone down; you're looking out for yourself. Besides, how much can you say about that static water texture?

I'm now second guessing opening a bar restaurant because someday someone will have to clean a mess like that. The game footage reminded me of running wild on the ps1. It's a racing game with animals who have crazy legs instead of karts.

I liked the intro. Sharing an anecdote is so much more personal than only reading down some facts and numbers about the game and developer. I was greatly entertained!

Well, that looks abysmal 😁 Don't worry about the video length: to be fair, letting people know a game is utterly awful in twenty minutes is probably more palatable than taking an hour or more. If I spend too long with an iffy game, I end up getting a gaming equivalent of Stockholm syndrome and normalising really bad bits just because I've become accustomed to them. You picked out all the key elements, great coverage as per the norm. Hard to believe this would have released around the time as Wip3out and Rollcage. 🙂

Seconded, games not worth playing aren't worth stressing over whether or not you've covered every aspect in detail. It's why the reviews you mentioned at the start exist, to make jokes when there isn't much to say. The middle of the road games, the ones you finish playing without much thought and are just... fine. Those keep me up at night.

Ahh, good old Cryo. Sean has covered so many of their awful games so I'm not surprised to hear another is the same. I mean, even the title offends me - it's just a complete redundancy. May as well of called it "Shit game: Shit game" 🤣
Great coverage as always, despite the turid game.

I hate that I love how 360 360 looks. Maybe its the filters you're using. Maybe its Maybeline. And the cover art has strong NES nostalgia. Such a shame it has nothing appealing beyond that.
