AUTO: Stress and congested roads are inevitable! ADAC reveals! How to avoid the Christmas traffic jam
The ADAC warns of massive traffic jams at the start of the Christmas vacations: All federal states start their vacations at the same time, causing vacation travelers, ski tourists and rush hour traffic to overlap. The biggest traffic jams are expected this afternoon in particular, especially around conurbations such as Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich, as well as on freeways with many roadworks. As an alternative, the ADAC recommends traveling on December 24 or during the holidays, as experience has shown that the roads are quieter then. The return journey around New Year could also be a test of patience - especially on January 2 and 3 and the last vacation weekend.
