As an avid fan of the original Halo games, I honestly think they shouldn’t have tried to continue the story, honestly. Continuing a series beyond the 10-year marker is, most of the time, A CARDINAL SIN (albeit with a few exceptions, such as 10+ years between sequels). I love 343’s work on remastering the old games, and putting all of them together on one collection, don’t get me wrong. They did a beautiful job. But their attempts to continue from where 3 left off... have been lackluster in one way or another. It just doesn’t feel like Halo. The only thing that feels ‘Halo’ about the new games is that there’s Master Chief. Besides that, the game doesn’t play like the arena-styled shooter we all love. In fact, it feels too fast, if anything. As for the story... a lot of retcons and shoehorning, like, what the fuck. Of course, my opinion isn’t fact. I have friends who love the games. But for me, I think the series should have ended after Reach came out. It’s just... dragging, and I don’t like it. It really shows how much it doesn’t feel like Halo, when ODST and Reach feel more Halo-like than 4 and 5 have. And those games don’t even have our strong, silent Spartan-II protagonist.
Whats your thought on the new OSTs for infinite: ua-cam.com/video/vEeADYjSJrM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MintBlitz (warthog run) and ua-cam.com/video/mBvWZjoW06k/v-deo.html&ab_channel=HALO (Infinite's fantastic rendition of 'walk in the woods') are some of the best things to come out of the new generation of halo games in my opinion.
Rtas Sorry friend but as both a DJ and a fan of the Halo series detaining all of the discography, this barely sounds like a mix and just sounds like "A pale horse" alone, unless I am missing something here.
