I've noticed that Portia DeRossi also says "anything" in a very particular way, almost like "an-a-thing." Didn't realize it was an Australian thing until I heard Anna say it. Lovely Australian ladies!
@aaaL7 because on the show she has an american accent, and people who have never seen her in real life are suprised to hear her speak with such a heavy aussie accent because she does an american one so well people think she is american.
@whipthedog but I also find that celebrities who marry normal people (not famous) have a far more successful marriage. For example Matt Damon married an italian waitress and they've been together for ages and he is one of many who have married non-celbreties. I think the ones who keep their relationships private and out of the spotlight end up having a much more successful marriage then the ones who are always in the tabloids like eg. Brad Pitt and Jen Aniston,Jlo and Marc Anthony etc.
@whipthedog Sorry but Russell hasn't been married for 15 years. He is married to an australian woman named Danielle Spencer though but they haven't been married for 15 years. Nicole Kidman is now married to another american so I wonder if that will last? Another aussie who's got a long successful marriage is Anna's co-star in Fringe John Noble (who plays Walter Bishop) who's married to an australian woman. So I do agree that maybe aussies respect the institution of marriage perhaps a little more
Sad about her marriage breakup. Russell Crow, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett have all had successful marriages because they all married Australians. Russell,Hugh and Cate have been married for more thatn 15 years. Nicole tried an American and it didnt work out. Australians have a different temperament to Americans. They are like chalk and cheese.

Her father was Estonian so shes half Ausralian half Estonian. Her real name is Anna Tõrv. Tõrv means tar in estonia
