I enjoyed how you wanted to see results with the fert alone. Too many people apply 5 products at once and try to say it’s one or the other delivering the results.
Yes, sorry I should of specified. I was only using the hose end sprayer as an example. Take the filter out of the electric push sprayer. I had a similar electric push sprayer and that did the trick. Please try it. The N-ext are great products.
My ortho had the filter removed. Still clogged. I won't remove the filter from my boom. That protects both the pump and the spray tips. I have enough left for one more application. It will have to go through a paint filter. Never had an issue with RGD or Air8. Only the fertilizers.
Thank you! These positves and any negatives need to be known so a viewer can make the most informed decision possible on how they choose to spend their money.
I have had zero contact with them. I did do a follow up video showing the results of the application. No contact from that either. I am not concerned about that. Would rather show real world experiences so people can know what to expect should they choose to spend their money on these products.
I've had these issues with these products as well. Never the RGS or Air8 though. When I use a liquid fertilizer from Lebanon Turf, I dont have clogging issues.
N-Ext products broke my sprayer this past week too… I was just getting the hang of spraying, and the dang thing clogged repeatedly like yours and the motor finally just gave up 😣. I’m just not going to deal with that any more
I enjoyed the video and the honesty. How long did it sit in the shed? Is it close to the end of it’s shelf life? I remember Connor Ward having that liquid fert that sat outside for a long time, it looked like chunks of metal. Having sprayed GreenePunch a lot with my backpack and Ortho, I’ve not had any clogging issues. I wonder if it maybe it sitting too long and sprayer components lead to the clogging? Why would it work for hand cans, hose ends, and most backpacks with minimal issues? I’m leaning towards a combo of factors lead to a clogged sprayer?
It was close to end of the labeled shelf life. Spent most of its life in the cabinet in the garage. I moved them to the shed earlier this year. I get some sediment trapped from other products like feature, but this clogged up fast. I am seeing some green up with it already though so that is a good sign.
I built a boom sprayer similar to yours. I want to run the N-ext products through my sprayer but saw your video of how attempting to spray 18-0-1 GreenePunch clogged your in line filter multiple times. I am afraid I will experience the same issue. I know not to mix the bio-stims with the fertilizer line. I hate dragging around hoses with a hose end sprayer thus my boom sprayer build. I was thinking of simply removing the in line filter when using any N-ext products making sure no foreign items go into the tank( ie grass clippings-dirt-anything that would be caught by the filter normally) What do you think of doing that? Thanks!
Damn, I thought it was me that broke my back pack sprayer ? It stopped building pressure after I applied RGS and Micro Green. This video explains what may have happened??
I have never had the issue with RGS. I also have never used microgreene but know many people that have and it is thicker and has the tendency to clog sprayers as well.
I've experienced the same issues with clogging. I always use a super fine mesh sock when as I add material to the tank an extra step which does help. When I heard you mention all the residue in the container and still poured that in I got worried....
Yep. That was foreshadowing and I film most of my videos in sequence. I never had this with RGS or Air8. Only used the fertilizer products via an Ortho hose end and thay clogged. Did not think much of it since they are known for that.
Ive been listening my way through the old grass factor podcasts and this video ties in with one of them I just finished. Matt mentions the green doctor from HI and his spray rig in one of them. I believe it's a two stroke gas backpack. Did you ever consider this as an option for your sprayer? Seems like it's not needed but I don't recall the GPM your putting out with the current setup. Seemed like you were just clogging filters, hope nothing bypassed and damaged the pump.
@@ReelLowDad I'm going to see how long I can hold out with the backpack, but a cart is on the horizon. Would love to see a feedback video on it even if you do some math and determine it's not worth it. Maybe you don't need that much flow, or whatever you determine.
Don't know if that's something you can change and not a huge deal, but your filter seemed plumbed with the flow going the wrong way. It should go outside in. Makes it easier to clean and a little harder to clog. Not that I think it would fix everything, I got in the habit of using paint strainer whenever I'm spraying anything suspicious. Extra step, but so is unclogging... and the strainer is not gonna bust your pump.
Thanks. It's plumbed in the correct orientation. There was just a ton of sediment in the fertilizer. Thankfully this was a situation in using up products to get rid of them. I just sprayed another product by a different company on the front and it did fine.
I have used RGS and Air8 and liked what I saw from those. I just have always had issues with the fertilizers. I totally did not expect it to clog the sprayer.

It was the perfect opportunity to see as well. I was able to get the backyard compete. Will know in a week or so.
Take your filter out. That's why it is recommended to punch out the filter in the hose end sprayer.
Did you watch the video? I was not using a hose end sprayer

I love how honest you are, there are a few that are just selling snake oil. Thanks

Brother, that is a very big sprayer for such a small area.
Not really. I allows for greater flexibility in what I can apply and makes sure it is applied properly so there is a lesser chance of an accident.
Honest man. Thank you. Has the company come back to you? . It doesn’t surprise me that these treacle like products will clog sprayers..
I have had zero contact with them. I did do a follow up video showing the results of the application. No contact from that either. I am not concerned about that. Would rather show real world experiences so people can know what to expect should they choose to spend their money on these products.
Dig the tunes.
They were festive and hitting the spot.
@@ReelLowDad agree.

@@ReelLowDad Definitely odd. Sucks that your sprayer got messed up! Hopefully it’s back to being operational soon.
It is back and working after an extensive clean out.
I used greenpunch last year. Same thing happened to me. Haven’t used it since.
JP putts a lot of pulp in his juice. I mix mine in a 5 gallon bucket with a paint strainer before putting it in my sprayer.
"Hose end sprayer of the week" LOL..
Nice, honest and to the point. Just leave it hanging in the air for others to draw a conclusion. Keep on keeping on sir!
That's the plan! Thanks for watching!

You can take the filter out. There will be a chance that it could cause issues with the pump. I personally do not want to damage the pump.
ok...so im not crazy....i also had constant clogging....
Nope, not crazy. It is a feature

@@ReelLowDad rgs and humic are always good. Good video. Looking forward to the next.
Ahh hell now that I think about it Air-8 clogged my ortho. But chunk of brown stuff. I was able to get it out.
I just spray those next products in the ortho lol they clog too much

I have though about doing this.

Love it
Yeah you do!!
Truth hurts.
MicroGreene is always horrible for clogging everything it runs through for me.
How long was that on the shelf ? and did it freeze ?
It's close the the end of the labeled shelf life. Never frozen.used it because of how close it was to the labeled shelf life.
Liquid dirt clogging filters. 🤔 huh
Or just take 12oz times 18% then divide by 16
Do away with the filter brother. I screen pouring in only
First Aussie 😎
Maybe when you hold it for months it gets chunky. Shake it like a man? 🤣
Should be "Don't Shake It.. Be a Man!"
But two hands on it son 😂
