My favorite college football channel by far! Brooks... I appreciate how you call out "fans" for crapping on these kids. Some of the comments I see from so-called "adults" towards these young men are just trash. It's ok to criticise... and Carson's decision making has definitely warranted it of late... but we should be rooting for these kids to learn, grow, and get better. I'm a fan of these kids win or lose... and I trust our coaches to know more than I do and make the best personnel decisions for this team. Unfortunately there is a very vocal minority of fans that live in these comments sections and like to dole out hate.

Question; I wonder if the helmet communication is throwing the quarterback and receiver continuity off. I know if I’ve seen the receivers looking at their wristbands much all season. Great job pointing out the obvious though 😂

You have so raised the bar for football analysis content. I don’t watch any of the other guys anymore. Seems like they just talk to hear themselves talk and pull opinions out of their you know what’s. That type of UA-cam channel is going to go extinct. You are showing that the future of this format is not just a fan babbling on about how they feel, but rather someone with deep football understanding who can break down the game the way a coach would. I love how you have a clinical approach that explains what happened and what maybe should have happened. Learning a ton about football, so glad you are out there making content!

Remember Rocky III when he loses because instead of training hard he is enjoying his success Kind of reminds of earning a higher NIL deal buying a Lamboo and dating a model. Maybe needs some focus a little bit. Plus Bobo mixed in some screens and runs starting the 2nd half instead of trying to take shots the mostly during first half. Plus we need to do a better job identifying blitzes.

For the record, I subscribe, thoroughly enjoy the exceptional content, and tell my friends about the channel. About the INTs, after watching the breakdown, it appears multiple factors are involved: 1) Bad decisions and pressing too hard by Beck, 2) inadequate 'chemistry' with some receivers, 3) occasional breakdowns in route running, 4) good but not elite receiver room. I'll speculate that Beck, wanting to shine this year, has become frustrated with all of the above (plus too many drops) and it's affecting his confidence and causing some anxiety on pass plays. Last year, he had great rapport with his very good to elite receivers who didn't drop many and made great to spectacular receptions regularly. If these thoughts are in the right ballpark, there's a good chance Beck will get a handle on it and improve over the remaining games. The physical and mental talent is there. Working with a sports psychologist might be a good idea. But the team is winning despite the INTs. If Beck figures it out, the Dawgs will be very hard to defeat.

We are still winning so I can't complain to much, but what's hurting is watching him destroy his draft stock week by week. One game is a fluke, 2 games is a trend, 4 games in a row is a massive problem. This whole year has felt like the Georgia Tech game from last year.

11:46 Cash Jones is running to grass. He gets as easy 10-12 yards, maybe even a TD there. Beck is forcing the ball into to risky situations when checkdowns are available. That has been his biggest weakness this year. There is no reason to throw into double or triple coverage when a 5-6 yard checkdown is a simple toss to the flats away.

Thank you for the breakdown of these videos. It makes all the difference in the world. There was no coverage of this, but Beck supposedly fought a stomach bug during the week and was severely dehydrated on Friday from which he had to be given IVs.. Some said the reason her wore the black paint was to keep others from noticing how pale he was. I know he didn't have it when he was warming up, but there's no TV coverage going on at that time either plus the stands are not packed out. Several shots of him sitting on the bench with his helmet on you could obviously see he was not himself. His eyes were that of someone who was not 100% nor feeling well.

Of course beck is having an off year, look at the mediocre ass WR room we have. Before the season even started we lost Rara Thomas who supposed to be a huge part of this year, and then we lose Colbie Young to the same outside nonsense. People don’t understand when you go through an entire off season with these guys and then they’re just gone off the team, that WR-QB relationship is gone as well. Dillon bell and Lovett are all we have and that makes Carson’s job even harder especially with the injuries at RB. No shit he’s thrown more INT’s than you would like but until the Florida game, more than half of those weren’t his fault. WR dropping perfect balls, tipping the ball into the defenders hands and running the wrong route so he puts the ball where it’s supposed to be but the receiver isn’t there. It’s hilarious we’re crushing every team and still not playing up to the offensive level that we could be at, no body wants to see that yet. We’d beat teams by 42 every game and it would be another TCU natty like game. UGA offense will click when they need it most, so everyone just needs to relax

  • @jasonstanford

I personally would like to see some more pump fakes from Carson. 1. I think it would make defenders bite and 2. it would allow an extra second for the routes to develop and receivers to get open.

    • @cfly87
      @cfly87 День тому

Yes that and he doesn't climb the pocket well. He will have a clean lane to escape and still make a good throw, but he doesn't. If his first 2 reads aren't there, he gets squirrelly. For a pocket passer, he has no pocket presence.

Rogers agrees with you. He said on Saturday 11 ran the incorrect depth. Def didn’t hear him mention a dig. Could have missed it though.
Also I’m not fond of where Beck releases the ball. It’s often from his shoulder area (like baseball) and not from the ear area. I always noticed how CMR preached that. Now I see a tall guy getting his balls tipped(clip that)a lot and can’t help but wonder if he’d change those mechanics the issue would resolve. I’d love to see ya break that down!

Brooks talks a lot about “situational” decision making which is awesome and 100% correct. It’s okay to be Charlie Checkdown and take what they give instead of taking what you want on certain down and distance in certain field positions.
Between your own 25 and the opponent’s 25, the offense has to take care of the football.

I think over confidence is not a good area to go down for Carson Beck. Game two- Tennessee State, I think 2nd half - Carson Beck rolled out to the right and non-chalantly threw something you might expect from the Miami quarterback. There was a bunch of ppl where he threw it and it was incomplete. You wouldn't have seen that sort of behavior last year, from Beck and it struck me at the time that that should not be an area Carson goes down. That said, I noted several rushed passes that ended in interception where there was a running route hole Carson could take to buy ten more seconds or run for yardage. Carson, instead, rushes the pass

Hey Brooks. Love the content, I've learned tons from the film studies. I think I'm pretty close to an OG on your network. My thought on this issue has not agreed with most. It looks like what you said, busted plays and suspect decisions by the QB 50/50. Busted plays is either on the OC or hardheaded players not remembering what to do. I would think if the players rep those plays enough in practice you won't see so many busts. I would think the OC could drill this into them to at least improve on reducing the busted plays. Possibly lack of attention to detail in coaching. Looks like the play calling isn't a huge problem. Your thoughts?

That pick you showed on the square in to Yurosek is Bobo being outcoached. Thats the offense being predictable, and a DC putting his player on a spot on the field to win. That safety knew exactly what was coming thanks to his coaches.

  • @BruceWayne-vs4mz
    @BruceWayne-vs4mz 2 дні тому +2

The only way to fix this is have Beck run a QB keep or direct snap wildcat to #86 every set of downs. Opponents know if they play cover 5 or shallow quarters they will get a pick on Beck. Make the defense play honest and respect the QB runs or direct snaps. That will create a cover 3 or deep thirds defense to stack the box. Then Beck will have less opponents to throw the ball to downfield. Beck is top tier D1 trash this year. Beck would be good enough for D1 mountain west ball as he is throwing middle school level picks. I have zero confidence the interception issue will get fixed and we can expect 2-3 picks each upcoming game.
2-3 picks in the Ol Miss shootout on Saturday will kill us. Kiffin plans on hanging 50+ points on UGA…….Drive killing picks will enable the Ol Miss blowout.

21:01 I’ve mentioned Carson’s footwork multiple times this season. Working with middle infielders🥎, he sometimes throws from the wrong foot
It may be him trying to throw around defenders? I don’t know enough 🏈 to make that call, it may be intentional, it may be acceptable…
But just athletically speaking, his footwork isn’t always optimal for the throws he’s intending.

The simple truth is this. Ladd McConky, Brock bowers, Kearis Jackson. Two of those guys are currently competing in the nfl for RotY. Jackson was an insane deep ball guy. Losing that kind of talent has exposed Beck. He is good, but not great. He cannot overcome the talent loss at receiver. It's not all on Beck, but it ain't all off him either. Stockton gives a better chance just sue to his ability to stretch a play and scramble. It would make Frazier and Etienne unstoppable.

If you watch his post game interviews it’s obvious he doesn’t give a fuck which is a very bad thing. especially when kirby defends it & even if he throws 8 picks a game kirby will not take him out.

My impression is that he really doesn’t see the field well. He far too often throws to the worse choice of receiver. Not to mention throwing into double or triple coverage. And his line calls, as demonstrated on that first play, aren’t great either. If he had just thrown to 11 it’s an easy. Maybe he should stick to Bobo’s calls rather than his own.

A month ago Milroe looked like a world beater. Now?
At least BECK CAN OVERCOME a mistake or three. Our Qb makes one and he cannot recover.
Sad to have the best player in college football and we wonder if he should start now. You watch the film, you know it.
Beck will lead this team to a title - probably a national title , mistakes and all.
Why? Because of the trenches both on offense and defense. The only teams that beat Bama 2009-2019 was magic at qb. It isn’t sustainable. What Georgia does is. Plain and simple.
Sad as a Bama fan to have to eat that. After 17 years now we have to eat. Weekly against very average teams. Ga will slaughter Tennessee.
And everyone else on the schedule. Oregon will be the wildcard due to the QB.
    Hard hard to watch man

Carson has been babied. Bad. At some point an Alpha is going to check his temperature. We as a fanbase are hard on guys who aren’t upholding the standard. He’s not upholding the standard at all. He’s lucky we have so much talent in the other two phases of the game. We’d have 4 losses. I don’t give one single damn about the semantics of him coming back and his draft potential, that’s something he will have to figure out. He better not maroon the ship with his inadequacies. I’m sick of this shit. It would be tolerable if he acted like an Alpha when he messes up. He acts like a lame. He can’t command Alphas like that. All this pouting and woe is me shit is not what we do here. If you can’t hack it step aside. Take up dodgeball. Go into your major. Whatever. But QBs who throw the ball to the other team repeatedly don’t have a long career in the league. If his league stock is dead, don’t wreck the team trying to save him. His got NIL. He’ll be fine. But he’s wilding right now. And a grown man is being babied like his play is acceptable. At some point something is gonna happen to split the locker room. Shit that coaches never bounce back from.

KIRBY WAS SUPPOSED TO EASILY 3 PEAT BUT CARSON CANT GET OUT OF HIS OWN WAY!
CARSON WILL RUIN UGAS CULTURE FOR GOOD!! IT MAY BE IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER WIN AGAIN IF THIS IS WHAT KIRBY WANTS FOR THE FUTURE OF HIS PROGRAM!

Beck will be the reason we won't win the Natty. His INTs are the worst ever because he throws the ball directly to the DB like the DB is invisible. Those INTs suggest to me that he throws the ball BLIND. He predetermined he would throw the ball to a spot and that's what he's doing even isf a DB is standing directly in the passing lane. He's also missing throws he was making last year. BECK seems LOST and that's where the DAWGS are going with his play. Beck has been HORRIBLE and if he doesn't change, we are DOOMED.
