One thing is belief/faith/Iman no doubt it's significant. But what we lack in Islamic practice, conduct, behaviour, our day to day pratice. We(Muslims) represent Islam, in fact how good we are in our worldly dealings with one an other, this is a big question!
In one place I think if we approach God through an idol, the chance of misleading increases and may get lost in an idol instead of approaching God because most people are unaware of the reality. So I think no worship of God is seen through idols in the Holy Vedas. you are very much right many of us make God to our wealth, desires and ego(perhaps unknowingly) they are also considered partners of God in monotheism and not only idols, taken as a sin. Before breaking the idols gathered in Kaba the prophet Mohammad(p b u h) broke the idols of their hearts and introduced them well to the real God/Ishwar/Allah, the oneness of God. Good and healthy debate to know the reality and to get reformed or transformed is required but not to let others down and just to win, here our ego gets involved and we get lost even after being a winner. No doubt Dhruv Rathee is a man who loves humankind, he seems to be a philanthropist. He often makes videos to bring the people close and remove misconceptions. It's good to react and try to correct him but don't forget he has a belief and in religion he is not expertise but has a good intention.

Kafi hindu bhai bhai kr k meetha banny ki koshish ki gayi hai lakin khud bari ghalti kr di h by showing Muslims as mushrik (by showing images of Barelvi Masses) which is not allowed in islam and scholars clearly say there's difference between mushrik and kalma goh Muslims who indulge in such activity, it's sad many thousands people will watch that video and will be misinformed.
Otherwise that video was OK but I hope the person realizes his huge mistake and remove it for the betterment or it will create more problems for him and in general.
