I just bought a 2021 Cube Stereo 170 Race 29er last week and it is amazingly good with 170mm fox 38 fork and float x2! Sram GX 52T with 30T crank helps on the uphill. It is in category 5 not like others, aluminium is durable enough. Too good for the money 2923 Euros inc. 16% tax in Germany.
I love the Cube! Super close to making it out of the worthy mentions into the top 10! Bikeradar really enjoyed it in their review. I'd be stoked with it too!
The Canyon Torque 5 is a super affordable enduro bike, coming in at $3899 AUD which I thinking is amazing considering the spec. Though, it is a 180mm fork so I understand why it wasn't on the list. Loving the videos man. Keep it up!
Great video, unfortunately a lot of these bikes are not available in Canada or due to exchange rates the prices are higher by $500- $1,000. Giant seems to be the only brand that doesn’t increase a lot when it comes to exchange rates. Really wanted the Ripmo AF
I just got a specialized status and I am loving it. You can’t really tell that it is a mullet bike on the climbs because it is such a small difference in wheel size. Just a heads up the status is actually 4700 aud. Great vid and I hope that more content like this gets rolled in👍

Kinda getting the nod that these Value Enduros are coming better spec'd than similarly priced trail bikes. At least fork-wise it seems. Geo isn't that far off from what Im seeing on some of the slacker trail bikes. I havent seen many videos talking about it, even tho you included some photos of it in some of your videos lol. I would like to know how does it rides/how are the specs looking and if you would recommend it? And, if i missed it, why isn’t the bike included in one of your vids (no shades, just a question)? because i cant wait to ride it but there is currently 3 feets of snow outside so i gotta wait until april/may. How about the merida one-sixty 700 2021? Comes with a marzocchi bomber z1, fox float dpx2 and all round better specs than the one-sixty 400 for $1000 aud more
Absolutely! As I said it's worth spending a little bit extra to get the next model up. I just like to keep the buyers guides as affordable as possible (otherwise people complain it's always too much)
@@trailtalkmtb6603 I am now, its taken a little to find a good spot with the fork, but today she was hauling the mail top to bottom. The new GX drivetrains playing funny buggers though, the bike came with a bent hanger, which I straightened to a good position. Its vague in the middle, worst I’ve ever had from an Eagle drivetrain. The 55 chainline is wak as well and might play a part in it also. Once I get some shorter cranks The thing will be a bullet

I just would like to say, that damper isn’t the only difference between yari and lyrik. Lyrik has also lighter and stiffer crown which is convenient for enduro riding. Just keep that in mind... I thing it’s better choice to upgrade whole fork than just a damper which is not particulary cheap upgrade. You can try, but yari is never gonna perform same as lyrik... that’s why you have 2 different names - yari and lyrik

Chain stays are super long (especially considering this bike is offered as a mullet). Wheelbase on a M is equivalent to a Capra XXL!! Don’t you think something’s wrong? Ive contacted them and still waiting for a reply

I'm asking because, for example I dont care so much if I have the best dropper seat, drivetrain, however brakes are very important for me? Can you actually save some money by building custom or is it more expensive in any way?

Sorry guys, but I think you have forgotten the Propain Tyee/Spindrift. The Tyee starts at 2300€ and you can configurate anything you want to have. The Tyee ist one of the best enduro bikes you can actually buy and if you configurate the best fox Suspension, it'll only cost you 3000€. No one can beat this.

I really like that Nukeproof Mega Comp; I think it's my overall favourite sub-$5K bike. I wasn't particularly impressed by the Reactor Comp, as there are better specified bikes, with similar geometry, for less money (especially since Polygon updated the geometry of the Siskiu T7/8). Considering that Enduro bikes tend to cost more than equivalently specified trail bikes, that Nukeproof offers the Mega for the same price as the Reactor is very welcome. While the Comp still isn't the best spec-to-price bike here (I think Polygon still wins that one again, the N9 has awesome spec for only AU$300 more than the Mega Comp; shame the geo sucks), the Mega's very impressive geometry, coupled with the excellent upgradability of the fork and drivetrain as you mentioned, make it very compelling to me. I must admit I was a little disappointed to see a Select R instead of Select+ (lockout) rear shock, but the reviews I've seen/read of the 2021 Mega (including a review of the Comp) praised its climbing ability, so apparently it's not an issue.
@@trailtalkmtb6603 If I was going to spend more than the Mega Comp I'd probably try and snag a Privateer 161, but I do really like the 2021 Mega lineup in general, and the Comp definitely has one of the better "upgrade paths" of any of the bikes here. Actually, the Mega 290 Carbon Factory is my money-no-object dream bike (although I'm not a fan of the colour; thats what frame wrap is for), but those kind of wishes never tend to come true, at least for me (I'm not even in the finiancial position to consider the alloy Comp at the moment, let alone a carbon Factory).

I was looking to get the vitus escarpe but ended up getting the polygon siskiu N9 since it was in stock & the vitus wasn’t.

Decent fork can be upgraded with a new damper to make it a lyrik so it performs a lot better

If you don't value efficiency and take your time up the climbs I don't think so but it helps when these bikes weight over 16kg
