I really enjoy your videos, Im chronically ill, and I experience a lot of migraines. Your videos are so calming and soft spoken and I am able to watch the whole video without sensory over load. Your cottage is beautiful and unique thx for sharing ❤
I agree, Christmas is more than gifts. It's about love one another, togetherness, and thankfulness, and Christmas is a perfect holiday to embrace that!
I wish my family would like homemade gifts. That,is how I grow up and loved getting something made with love. Always a new hat / mitten. Now it's like go pick something out at a store . Tell me I'll pick it up ,I don't like doing it . Something from A Thrift store or homemade. No one seems to care about, stuff like that we'll I do .
I love those chocolate oranges and can only find them at Christmas. Such a treat. I am finding them this year at the Dollar Tree $3 each regular and dark chocolate.
Awwww. “A Cup of Christmas Tea” is a book that we used to read on Christmas Eve to our children when they were young. It’s a delightfully sweet story about a young man who goes to visit his elderly aunt and she is so thrilled to be able to serve him a cup of Christmas tea and share some time together. We used to listen to the story on tape (I know that is dating us ~ hahaha!) while we drank tea in our Christmas tea cups. Such sweet memories. 🎄☕️❤️
I remember taking a day trip with a friend to Nyack two decades ago and loving it. My late sister was superb at needle felting. She made so many little creatures that she gave away to friends and family. I have these darling needle felted Christmas tree ornaments to remember my little sister by: two chickadees, a cardinal and a teddy bear. BTW, I love those elves and mushrooms, and what Jonas did for the little sled. I'm blown away by your artistic talents!
So many lovely ideas! The vast majority of the gifts I'm giving this Christmas are handmade. Everything from scarves, slippers, shadow boxes, stuffed toys, games, painted trinket boxes, natural skin care, and embroidery...over 50 gifts in all! 😁 And don't worry. I haven't lost my mind...I started back in September! 😂
That is so sweet, and smart to start early with the gifts. I am sure that everyone will love them! Thank you for watching our video! :) Merry Christmas!
@itsacharminglife Merry Christmas to you both as well! I always enjoy your lovely videos. I've been a faithful viewer for several years now and have also been privileged to purchase some of Jonas' beautiful artwork. Thank you for bringing joy to so many! 💖
You two wonderful young people with old souls. Love it that someone as young as yourselves are not materialistic. You have value for life & the planet by saving & repurposing items. Not many young ones do that these days, it’s money & goods which is disposed off when they find something new to take its place. The planet needs more people like yourselves. Love all your ideas as you both are very artistic among the many good qualities you both possess. God Bless you both.
Happy Christmas my gorgeous charming friends! This December is hard two days ago we had the funeral of my dear grandad and 5 generations came together to celebrate him. Now I just want to cancel the season so I've saved your videos to help me get in the mood thank you for your cosy content xx
Oh I just saw this after I commented on your earlier comment, so sorry for your loss =/ I understand the feeling to just wanna cancel the season. Sending hugs
Another lovely video from my favorite channel🦋 I have been thrifting for many years, recreating/repurposing items along the way into gifts. I love seeing your creativity and artistry! ..and when Jonas was walking ahead of you and made sure the door stayed open for you- what a sweet gesture🤍 Have a jolly week!☃️
Thank you for taking the time to watch our video! :) So happy you enjoyed it. Your comment is very heartwarming! :) Have a jolly week you as well, Thank you! / Jonas
We actually thrifted a few gifts this year from an antique mall, and some items still had their original price tags. You can find so many unique items thrifting, plus the workmanship was better in older goods. My favorite gifts are the homemade ones!
So happy to hear that! It is such great feeling to make some good finds! The homemade ones are always so special! Feels like a part of the person is in the treasure! :)
What a heartfelt, charming video (as always 🥰) It’s a delight to hear more about Jonas Christmas traditions/culture/folk & faerie tales from Sweden. Funny enough I’ve been eying the same holiday teapot for several years but we’re stationed overseas and I’m a little apprehensive to purchase fragile items as mail has quite the trek to get to us. Once my husband retires to civilian life in a couple years and we’re back stateside I’ll seek one out at an antique or thrift shop. 😅😊 I got a little teary eyed seeing the Peter Rabbit books Lindsey selected as gifts. A fond childhood memory is receiving a box set of Beatrix Potter books. We use the plate & a smaller coffee cup & a star dish in the spode pattern (you featured with cocoa & gingerbread for holiday fika at the videos conclusion)for Santa’s milk & cookies & reindeer food 😊
Thank you for your kind words! It is so heartwarming! :) How fun that you also have been eying the same tea pot. :) I hope you find one soon. We want to wish you both a merry and happy Christmas! And Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Hi Jonas, and Lindsay, This was so heartwarming. You really showcase that the simple things in life are more enjoyable than running around in all the Holiday Hub Bub. The gingerbread cookies came out so pretty ! I loved all your decorations, especially the "Felted" mushrooms, and Elves ( cant's spell the Swedish word for Elves). The work you put into your videos is truly appreciated.Thank You for sharing your traditions, and your life with all of us. Happiness, Cindy 🍄
Thank you, Cindy! So happy you enjoyed our video. It was very fun to make. The swedish word for elves are Nissar, or Tomtenissar! (Tomten is the Santa Clause) and in Scandinavia there is smaller sized santas called Nissar, or as I said "TomteNissar", that helps him. It is a little bit different setting than the American Christmas lore who have one santa, and elves. Anyhow, that is a lot of info for another video perhaps! Thank you for watching with us!
What a beautiful video! Great thrift store finds and sweet crafts. The cookies look "almost" too good to eat! God bless you this Holiday season and always. ☃️⛄☃️
Your videos are so soothing and inspiring; I absolutely love your channel. Each year, I make gifts for my four sisters. This year, I'm making them each an ornament and homemade candies. Our Christmases are getting simpler as time goes on, and I love that. It's more focused on the meaning of the holiday, time spent together, and memories/traditions. 🎄
Thank you for sharing that with us! We totally agree, it is nice when things get simplier and the true meaning has teh focus! May your Christmas become the best one yet!
You're such a precious couple, and I enjoy your videos so much. 😊 My husband and I like to bake for others and make ornaments. I need to try felting... those were adorable ornaments. Love how Jonas painted and decorated the sled. You both are so talented! Will you send to Sweden some homemade gifts? Merry Christmas and blessings this Advent season. May our hearts be drawn closer to our Savior. Hugs! 🥰
Thank you for your heartwarming comment! We appreciate to hear that you enjoy our videos. We might send some handmade gifts to our families on both side of the world. Merry Christmas to both of you
Oh how I miss my mom this time of year, it has been 27 years sense she passed away. But feeling like yesterday. Your lovely cottage warms the heart with so many beautiful, charming pieces. I am amazed time and again by Jonasse's artwork. Hope your holidays are cozy and heartwarming and bring a new year of gentle happiness, we are in for a wild ride these next 4 years. Hang on to each other and don't give up on hope. Love you both and Happy Holidays to a really lovely couple
🎄🎄🎄I have the Cup of Christmas Tea cups and pot ! They are always featured in my decor 🎄🎄🎄 I loved to go to thrift store collecting especially for my holiday decor. Vintage treasures and creativity, so many lovely and unique items with a history🎄🎄wishing you both much joy and peace! I work in a car dealership so I need some kindness and warmth at the end of the day 🎄🎄🎄🎄thank you!!
You 2 are the sweetest couple. You spread so much Joy & happiness with your Christmas spirit🌲☃️ I loved your " Its a wonderful life" banner from last year & i couldnt find one anywhere to buy, but i found the cross stitch pattern on line and have enjoyed learning how & making it! So inspired from all your holiday videos! Happy crafting!
Our family had little in money but much in tradition from Norway. I'm sharing that with my adopted granddaughter while we make life together for her first time with us. I'm decorating for her gift. My mother taught us to cross cou try ski on woodskis. So much work pinetaring them and learning to use wax. My great grandfather was from Norway. He loved to ski downhill. Mom took him when he was very old to Willamette ski bowl. They would drive up, everyone would bring something for the big soup bowl over the fire. I learned there too.
Thank you so much for inspiring people towards sustainable or handmade items. It is so nice to hear. Glad you found a teapot to match the little one it matched. I think it is cute you found cards at the thrift store. Nice finds. Whenever I go to the thrift stores here, I find things that are not in the best shape or don't really call to me. I enjoy Nyack. I know a load of people who went to the school there. I'll have to go to the Second Hand Shoppe next time I'm up there. Of course Jonas' brother is artistic too! How adorable that little chipmunk is. I loved the story you told, by the way. It is fun to learn folklore.I haven't gifted handmade items in a few years at all. I should try to do that again. It is hard to have the ability to sit down with craft items with a toddler trying to crawl on me, so I put aside those hobbies until he is a little older, like I did when my two older children became of age to entertain themselves a bit better. The jars with the mix and such are simple and lovely though. Nice designs on the cookies. I celebrate Advent. . .my Advent candles are our only decorations. Your hot chocolate looks incredible!
How nice that you also celebrates advent. Thank you for your nice comment on our crafts. Hope you can have more time when your toddler is a bit older. It is quite relaxing to felting. May the advent season be peaceful to you!
I’ve never seen a tea bag tray..I’ll b looking at thrift stores now..how cool..I have a lot of friends and myself that drink tea alot..I loved everything u find..I love the sled..!!🩷🙏🩷
Thank you! I hope you find a tea bag tray soon. You never know what you can find. :) That is the beauty with thrifting I think! :) Thank you for your kind words
Our films are for me always like a warm hugs🫂💕 Your ideas to make a cozy time in advent/winter are very beautiful and inspire. Sorry my Englisch is not so good, but I hope you understand what I mean. Have a very nice time too ✨️🫶✨️
Thank you! It was really fun learning felting, it is very relaxing. I hope hope you get the opportunity and that you enjoy it as much as we do! :) Thanks again for watching!
I so enjoy your videos. They are entertaining, heart-felt, and special! Question: I also own a small home in NY and love to decorate with the holidays and seasons - where do you store all of the wonderful things I see in your videos? Are you lucky enough to have a large basement or barn? I forgot to say you make everything special! Thank you!
We don't have a large storage situation so we need to be good wrapping them tightly in their boxes, and have to donate or sell something if we get something new. We have a smaller shed that we can use for some storage, that's it. Wish we had a large basement, it would be handy! Thank you for watching our video, we appreciate it!
My husband and I went on a train ride yesterday in the Adirondacks and we went into the shops and found the cutest snowman. Great Ideas thank you for sharing! I love Holly Hobby! Beautiful sled Jonas.
I have also been looking for a nice Christmas teapot, so I found the one you showed online with two cups. I also bought the miniature version for my American Girl doll displays. I enjoy your channel.
Lovely and sweet! We are going to a holiday scandanavian faire tomorrow, I'm hoping to find an advent candle holder and maybe some tomte to bring home ♡ btw one of my favourite winter stories is The Tomte and The Fox, by Astrid Lindgren. We decorate with lots of foxes in our cottage ❤ happy holidays 🎉🎉
Oh, hope you get another chance going to the secondhand shop! ...btw it make me think of "Second day Christmas" that is the day after Christmas day in Sweden, not here in the US though. But it would be fun if we could also add a "Second Hand Christmas". :)
@@itsacharminglife I did, but unfortunately all the nich Christmas stuff were gone then. 😞 We also have "andre juledag"! "Bruktjul" doesn't quite make the same pun as "second hand Christmas". ;-)
Looks like some great finds you thrifted. You never know what you’ll find. I have been wanting to try felting too, so thanks for the nudge. I have a little elf that sits in our kitchen every year. He holds a bowl and spoon and wears an apron. You really can’t beat handmade gifts. They really mean so much. Your gingerbread cookies look beautiful and delicious. Merry Christmas Jonas and Lindsay! 🎄♥️
I lived in Rockland County and worked at Nyack Hospital. I used to LOVE going to Nyack. I loved seeing the familiar places in your video. Have you been to the Hickory Dickory Dock shop? Lots of clocks, but always lovely seasonal ornaments and dusplays from Halloween to Christmas.
How nice, it is such a cozy town. Unfortunately the Hickory Dickory Dock Shop was closed but their display window was very exciting to see. Wish we can go back there soon. We appreciate that you took the time to watch our video and so glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas
VER NICE VIDEOS! I ENJOY ALL OF THEM!, I LIKE ALL THE THRIFT FINDS GREAT IDEA . I REALLY LIKE TGE WHITE LANTERN IN THE BACKGROUND TOO !COUKD YOU PLEAEE TELL ME WHERE I COULD FIND ONE ?IR WHERE YOU GOT YOURS?!THANKYOU
Hi I make my Christmas Gifts Every Year since 2012, I try not to Buy & I do get the odd One or Two items from as Chrity Shop. Over the Years I have used a Combination of my Own Art & Cross-stitching & Felt Skills, I don't mean Needle. Which I have Tried this Year 4 Times, round one Needle broke & the Kit was not complete Charity shop bought & so was number 2, but it looked Terrible & no amount of Trying Could it be Fixed. Numbers 3 & 4 Were Flat Items & they looked passable but I could do anything to make it 3D, so I have now given it up. I've painted Snow landscapes & Cherry Blossom on canvas Board & postcard & Wooden Roundal. I would go On With What Else I have made but it would be a to longer message. Thank you
I’m confused what’s happening here? I saw people eating cookies but I didn’t hear anything but music. I thought we were crafting OK back to Black Friday shopping
@ oh I didn’t realize that was how it works. Beautiful Yüle embroidery work like that and the candles love the folk style. I couldn’t go back to the beginning/rewind?

Not sure if this is too much work, but I would love to see a full video of ALL Lindsey’s holiday outfit combinations for inspiration! 🧤🧣
Aw thanks lovely! That’s a really great idea I can keep in mind for next year 🎄🌟 I’d also love to see your Yuletide wear!
@ yeah if I can’t make the time this year, I’ll definitely add that to the list for next year!
I love hearing about the Swedish traditions!
Thank you! :) We enjoy sharing them! They are dear to our hearts

Thrifting gifts keeps christmas in perspective, its not about giving.its about the gift. Jesus. LOVE THRIFTING and my family expects this

That little basket would be perfect for gifting a chocolate orange in.
That is a lovely idea! Thank you for sharing it
I love those chocolate oranges and can only find them at Christmas. Such a treat. I am finding them this year at the Dollar Tree $3 each regular and dark chocolate.
I am all in for the combination of orange and chocolate. I would go for the dark chocolate.

Beautiful video.
Thank you so much! :) We appreciate it
God jul, Jonas!
Thank you! God Jul :)
Congratulations to the cute snowman! :) We appreciate your kindness
I have also been looking for a nice Christmas teapot, so I found the one you showed online with two cups. I also bought the miniature version for my American Girl doll displays. I enjoy your channel.
How nice to hear! Congratulations for the find. :)
We appreciate that you enjoy our channel, Thank you!
such a heart warming video... thank you
Thank you! :) It warms our heart to hear!
I remember that time, I accidentally stepped into kislux . Since then, I have a few more pieces of art in my wardrobe and less anxiety about bills.
How lovely! :) that is a great feeling!
I like the cute mushrooms, but even more since they are also associated with Christmas!
Thank you! :) Glad you also enjoy these red mushrooms. They are really festive as a decor!
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Thank you so much! :) Merry Christmas
I loved that Jonas dunks his cookies in his hot cocoa! I’m a dunker too! Lovely holiday video as always❤

Thank you for watching with us!
This was an awesome video, honestly I love all your videos as these really get me in the holiday spirit! 🐿️🍄⭐️☃️
We love to hear that! Thank you for saying :) Happy Holidays
I actually love secondhand gifts. I might look for some tomorrow after work, there's a nice secondhand shop in the city centre.
How nice :) Hope you were succesful in the second hand store!
Thanks for watching our video! :)
@@itsacharminglife Turned out they closed at 17:00, and I didn't get around to leave work until then.
We also have "andre juledag"! "Bruktjul" doesn't quite make the same pun as "second hand Christmas". ;-)
I seldom buy new and am so grateful you posted this! It saves the planet in so many ways.
Thank you, we think it is great that you are thinking of our planet! Thank you!
I so wish ,we had small shops in my town. So far Mystic, Connecticut is the only one with small shops .
Mystic is such quaint and sweet town!
Thank you! :) We appreciate it!
Hope you get the chance to try felting. it is quite relaxing!
Happy Christmas
I don't know if anyone had said anything about the little basket. U could put some tea and honey and a spoon and a sweet treat in it. ❤
That is a cute idea! :) Thanks for saying that
Beautiful ! Thank You!🙏🏻
Thank you too for watching! :) It means a lot to us
I lived in Rockland County and worked at Nyack Hospital.
Thank you so much for this lovely video!
Thank you so much!

I'd make a tissue box out of the snowman's hat.
That is a great idea! Thank you
How 'bout filling the tiny basket with nuts for our little friend Tibby?
That is a great idea! :) It is Tibby sized for sure!
Thank you
Sorry to hear that it didn't worked out with the needle feelting. It can be hard but i'm sure you have a lot of talent so don't give up!
I’m confused what’s happening here? I saw people eating cookies but I didn’t hear anything but music. I thought we were crafting OK back to Black Friday shopping
You joined the end of the premiere! That is why you saw the end part with cookies and music.
@ oh I didn’t realize that was how it works. Beautiful Yüle embroidery work like that and the candles love the folk style. I couldn’t go back to the beginning/rewind?
@@Timetraveler1111MN It will come up if you search their videos. I watched after the fact.
It is a bit confusing sometimes, if someone comes in while the premiere is going they might miss the beginning.
Anyhow. Hope you enjoyed it! :)
