This is a great video but as another person commented, I'd appreciate it being updated as most of the menu links are different now.

Hi, awesome video! At the end of the video you talk about automation and how you can add tags if a customer clicks on a certain link in your mail. Is this only possible when using the Automation function? Or is it also possible to add tags automatically when just using regular Campaigns?
I am looking to add tags when users click on a certain link in my mail, but am not using the Automation fuction is Mailchimp.

Thanks a lot for a great video Simon! one thing that you briefly mentioned in your video but I am getting a bit confused is the compliance with CAN-SPAM and requirement for having an obligatory PO box, as well as any other laws such as GDPR. How concerned should I be about the regulations in general? Is there an alternative European mail provider you would recommend or should you comply with the rules of the country that the mail owner is resident in? I am just getting started with affiliate marketing watching your videos and this is the first real challenge I guess :)

I know that I have to add to the audience "date field". But how exactly do I determine the date before which I want to send the emails? In the "Audience fields and |MERGE| tags" section there is a field called "Default merge tag value", do I have to fill in the date there?

Though sadly enough mailchimp have evolved in a way where the video tutorial is actually outdated by now.. :( I can't do it the same way you are suggesting, their menu isn't the same anymore and some of the steps you're going thru aren't doable. I'll contact mailchimp support for help. But great video anyway!

We want to remove customers who have little interaction with our emails. However, our concern is if we remove them and then a day later they try to unsubscribe and can't. And we would want to keep their emails for future campaigns. Is there a way to pause or archive their email addresses and remove them from the database limit, but they can still unsubscribe, and that way we can add more fresh emails? You lost me as soon as you got talking about audiences. I'm missing the "preference center" under audiences, so then everything else you talk about doesn't apply. You recommended for beginners to start with the FREE version, which I did, but I'm wondering if with the free version you do not get the preference center.??
