Fantastic.....ive done the French way, but want to do the North way as ive heard its the most scenic, its looks more peaceful and less touristy.....great vids.....keep on walking....
Last year, after the Camino Frances, I rent a care and I go to del Norte, to take a beach trip, from Santander. I want to do it to Ribadasella, but i find so many amazing beaches and 2 weeks its not enough to stop everywhere. The last one was Playa Torimbia, with a full moon and amazing sunset. I sleep in the car, most if the time, i just have a break to have a good shower in some alberques. Like Boo, Santillana del Mar and.. Thats it 😍
Nadine, I continue to enjoy your videos. So, thank you! Thanks also for sharing your ocassional missteps, as they very much remind me of many twists and turns along my caminos. Great post!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Camino journey! I truly enjoyed your blog posts and is even more excited to set off on my own Camino adventure after seeing your wonderful videos 😃
I'm so glad that this is helping to inspire you for your own Camino journey! I still love (maybe prefer?) writing about my walks, but video really does add an extra layer, and fills out all those details. Thanks for watching and writing- Buen Camino!
It's so good to know that other pilgrims on the Norte sometimes walk this alternate route (on the day I walked, I only saw two others). I'm glad you loved it too! (working on Pt. 5 right now, so stay tuned!)
Splendid. I walked this route before splitting off along the Primitivo in 2018. I was expecting the route to be closer to the sea, I knew about the coast route but wanted to stick to the camino. I will finish the Norte this summer but will now incorporate more coast and I am preppared for a few wild camps rather than worry about beds. Thanks. By the way, I highly recommend the Primitivo if you have not done it yet.
Sorry the the delay in replying (I’ve been in Portugal, walking for a week in the Camino!). I HAVE done the Primitivo and I really, really loved it. It might be my favorite Camino? That’s hard to say, but overall it’s really such a great route.
@@NadineWalks That makes sense. I saw the date on the other videos. Another question. Many of the albergues are called Albergue Juvenil. Does that mean that only younger people can stay there?

The coastal route from Santander to Boo was my favorite day on the Norte in 2019! Stunning! Enjoying these videos, a trip down memory lane.
It was one of my favorite days, too... just so stunning. Oh, to go back...

Thanks Duayne, I'm glad that you don't mind seeing the missteps (there are more coming in future videos...). It's all part of the experience!

I also took the same alternate path and I found it was well worth it. Glad you posted #4. Thanks!

Very nice video, and that picture of you in black and white looks great too👍🏔

What time if year did you go? The video was published in February but it looks warmer than that.
I was on the Norte in the summer! July :)

Those croquetas though...!!
Oh no, they don't let you cross the bridge anymore!? 😢
OMG I remember that spot with the double arrows! 😂↔
What I wouldn't give to have a meal like that right now, sitting with a view of the sea, after a long and satisfying day of walking...
@@LetsTrySomethingNew They don't! Maybe some pilgrims still get away with it, but everyone in my albergue was instructed to take the train
@@LetsTrySomethingNew Ha! Not confusing at all...
