Matt, the bike is looking beautiful,i bought one of your videos a while back to get started restoring the motor on my 550 but i have been too busy with life and other things, hope everything is going well with you and your family.
That takes special tools and talent. I can't imagine trying to use an old vaccum gauge set up.
A simple manometer tool works just fine as well.
nice video. same for fuel injected bike? what about gunson colortune tool?

Lighting on your white board: try putting a light on the ceiling pointing directly at the whiteboard. As long as that light is brighter than the light behind the whiteboard (say from the window as in this video), the whiteboard should show up nice and clear.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have 2 softboxes, maybe I'll try lifting them as high as possible and aiming them directly at whiteboard.
or to the side, not in the reflection area of the camera.
Great video. This might be a dumb question but when you do the bench sync with a drill bit, you have the carb spring attached to the linkage, right, so there's pressure being put on the drill bit?
MATT, I have last year carburetor and my throttle spring will not let my hand Lever go back like it should when I give gas I got do it manually instead plate go back once release hand Lever what do suggest that will help throttle plate snap back without replacing Lazy spring.

If using a drill bit it might be good advice to measure using the shank end? Absolutely beautiful looking engine totally jealous!

Oi, I just got this sync tool and I've got a 1st gen Yamaha Vmax which is a V4. My vacuum ports are on both sides of the bike and the hoses do not reach without having to route them through the motor, in particular, close to the heads. Can I extend the hoses without causing a distortion in the readings?
You can extend hoses. Dynamic of curves reduce, will not effect to adjustment. Use same length.
Hi. What cause a carb overflow coming out of overflow pipe
