Blake Angelos, you are da man! I never fail to enjoy your demos. You always hit the high spots, concisely and relevantly. Plus, you understand how to relate to big-rig, solo keyboard/vocal performers who sometimes just want to have a good way to "cheat" now and then, just to make life a little easier, and I've "cheated" with PSR's on the occasional song in a live show for YEARS, and I pulled it off! Yamaha should treasure you, Blake, and I imagine that they do!

How do i keep the vol at the one level it seems to come loud then go soft ive tryed to keep it at the same level by going into the ballance section. my other yamaha stays on the settings i dont have to touch it
The PSR-S670 is by far,the nicest looking design(out of the entire PSR-series.)I've been going over the differences between all of the models and the only differences,seem to be the number of voices, expansion memory,internal memory and of course,the display screen sizes.That said,I cannot justify spending $2,000 on a S970,when the S670 has all of the essentials I need(which by the way,would be a significant upgrade from my other budget keyboards,like my former MOX6,MOXF6 and my former Korg Kross 2.)

Great video! Could this arranger be used as a backing module for use with a digital accordion?
+Neil T Looking on the user manual its is possible; there are MIDI presets called Accordion1 and 2 that automatically sets the accompaniment chord recognition on ch. 02 for use with MIDI accordions and organs. All you have to do is to get an USB-to-MIDI cable, as the S670 lacks of MIDI connectors. Hope this help.

This sounds better is more affordable than the 770 which is over $1,100. The 670 runs at $799 right now. Is it worth it to get the 770 over the 670?
I just purchased this PSR S670 with hope this instrument capable to work with layers when you create your own music in every way by just layering one track on a top of other. This is a coolest feature for songwriters and I did not find any reference to it in manual for this instrument or from host in this video. Please advise anyone did I buy the right product?

I have a Yamaha PSR S670. But I'm amazed with the sound quality of your video. The voices, accompaniment sounds are outstanding. I don't get such clarity and richness of sound though the built-in speakers or using a headphone. Can you please suggest me what set-up i should make to get such great sound both from headphones and external speakers?

You should connect the output channel to the mixer or amplifier, then you could mix the sound

It would be nice to know what Yamaha speakers you are using. I think I see those behind you but cannot see the subwoofer.
It's obviously just the direct line-out, that sound is clearly not coming from any on set external speakers...and certainly not the device's own built-in speakers
which keyboard must I go for ?- Korg pa300 or psr s670
Raphael Ferreira I have a korg pa300 . The styles are more punchy and the bass is more lively as compared to this Yamaha .. the tones in the korg is also good(the strings esp ) . The only downside of the korg pa300 is the grand piano tone which is dull as compared to this Yamaha . If piano is your mainstream instrument , then go for the Yamaha ..

I have got one of these it is a great thing to use if you can play it well. If you can not play to well then it is a horable thing to play i am looking round for a keybord that is easier to play than this is.

Psr s670 What is meaning S.
I guess, there is no meaning. But the PSR series exists since the 1980's and when the old numbers are used again, it's important to communicate the difference.
It's a big difference between a PSR 500 and a PSR S500.

This is a killer product from Yamaha, but I don't know why Blake is showing off small things like knobs, affordability, expansion manager, wifi adapter, and expansion packs? Performance really matters, not expansion and WiFi connectivity for a keyboard. This is common with all Yamaha product specialists , but not Peter Baartmaans, that's why Peter Baartmaans is the best.So kraft music try to have Peter Baartmaans once again to feature PSR S 970 especially.

FAULTS: 2 KNOBS not saving in registry!!! FAULT: No Arp can be played on left hand voice. So silly,,,, even E series, entry level has those features.

To me it sounds more like a mediocre MP3, than an instrument (to me personal a Roland BK-3 sounds more musical), but the features are great

When would I ever use these sounds? What? when I tour assisted living facilities? Geez man...uh we want new sounds... these sounds are a big turnoff and cannot use them for anything...sounds like a tinker toy box..I was about to buy one on zZounds but naw it's horrible the only good thing that compares to any new sound or at least dj sound is the apprigator

H nice guy - yep the psrs series targets the apprx couple of billion humans on earth who are older and have the bucks. Check out the Montage or the MOXF series- all synths really great. But like all yams they aren’t cheap either. Great computer interface for recording & mixing/editing thu any daw. Me, I like native Instruments. Btw if you really want to hate on Yam check Genos. That gets most ppl serious envy :)
