They should've provided Zain with simultaneous Arabic translation - it's frustrating watching him just sitting there and doing nothing. The film's great though, really great.
I cried so much and I don't cry when I watch movies. But watching this movie wasn't a story watching. I understood that this is what so many kids go through and I couldn't stop crying. It's the best movie I've watched until now. The crew did an amazing job and Zain is going to be one of the best actors, I'm very sure. I hope now he will live a happy and good life, like many kids who had to go through so many difficulties.
I saw this film this afternoon and it has had a profound affect on me. It was like watching a documentary through a brilliant film that has opened up my eyes to millions of displaced people in the world who are exploited (especially children) by those who see suffering as a way of profiteering. We too in the West are just as guilty by our greed and indifference.
What a masterpiece! I swear I knew that the actors were real people without knowing! The amount of relief to know that they weren’t actors later on shocked me positively. I love you guys and you deserve all the attention and continuity of this success. ❤
Such a powerful movie which stretches beyond the paradigm from entertainment and reality. It was a masterpiece depicting the struggles of children living in such terrible conditions. A must watch.
Her films are amazing, they are true gems! "I watched "Where do we go now?" for like 15 times. "Caramel" is also an excellent film! She is very smart and magnificent director. I really wish her and Khaled all best and success!
I'm so glad to know things have improved for Zain. What an incredible story the movie was. Definitely the best film I saw that year. Roma was good but this film was better and should have won best foreign film.
I cried my eyes out and got a heartache watching the movie, just finished watching. It hurts so damn much knowing some kids go through this and refugee ppl being used as well. I aspire to have my own charity to help such people in need. Awesome job you guys salute

Very good movie, my compliments also for all the scenes regarding breastfeeding. I’m so proud of what you have portrayed not only the fact of abused children but also the fact of grownups acting in their ignorance misusing others and especially children. I often asked myself why they don’t arrest the parents after a child misconduct, because they are the one really responsible.
What a wonderful movie. I just watched last night on SBS Australia and honestly what an eye opener to other cultures. Thank you so much it's the best film and honest portrayal of life in other cultures that I have ever seen. Bless you all. Thank you thank you.
This movie is extremely well made. Only one or two small things are really too simplistic - the way the characters of Zain's parents are portrayed as two heartless, soulless human beings - which has a populationist undertone - probably to satisfy the westerners. And the role of Western neo-colonialism and imperialism behind the refugee crisis and war is not even mentioned - no doubt people in West Europe and USA really liked the film. They did not need to feel any guilt. It is all middle-east, conservative, patriarchal societies problem - internal and structural. But I must say technically, visually, performance-wise, it is one of the finest films I have ever seen.
Congratulations to the whole staff it s one of the most wonderful films I ve ever seen I realy felt that the events were true and zain was gorgeous I was thinking that this boy must have lived these events because he acted in a so natural way which made me curoius to know about him then I googled his name and found out that was a real refugee . What s more intersting about the film besides highliting some of most important issues in today s world is that it had made a change’in the life of these actors plus the humanitarian mission they re working on . Indeed the director toghether with the producer and the rest of the staff showed us the real role of cinema.thanks a lot for making us live this experience.
