Thanks Eddie, this glitch still works as of May 13th, 2021. If you're getting disconnected from the session with the LAN cable not connected error, it means you're pulling the wrong wire. You have to unplug the wire that connects the switch to your router, not the wire that connects the PS4 to the switch. That cable should not even be touched when attempting.

Otherwise we probably wouldn't find a good video, or keep trying without an network switch and claim that this doesn't work anymore

If what you mean is disconnecting the lan cable it cannot be done because you will lose the connection completely and your going to get kicked out of the game. You need to create lag which is what the internet switch does.
You have to do the glitch with a offroad vehicle. Buy the Chevy Colorado for example. Then, before you select the car that u want the tires (Slicks) on remove the lan cable or if ur using ur cell phone turn the Hotspot off. press x and go to the front or rear wheels and go to tires and press x. Right after pressing x plug the lan cable back in or if using ur cell phone turn the Hotspot back on. Good luck
There is a computer program that you buy online called save wizard. it has codes you can download on a USB drive and then upload them into the game. I'm not sure if it is still for sale. you can go online and check.
you have to have the Porsche 918 spider (Porsche with the exhaust on top of car) when you do the glitch and select the hood the wheels will pop out. unfortunately the hood will come off there is no way that I know where the hood remains on the car.

make sure your taking off the right cable....you need an internet switch to do it with the lan cable... disconnecting the cable straight off the ps4 will disconnect your game. The reason for the internet switch is to create lag....and the lag buys you the time to perform the glitch.

also if you get the slicks on the car that you want and then change them for another tire you cant put back the slicks back on.

the remove parts glitch works on any class. the tire glitch works on race builds only.
