Hey man, you killed it for a first tutorial imo. Straight to the point with all the necessary info from what I can tell. Cut out all the long winded "no brainer" info that most tutorials have. Like telling us that all the loops should be the same length. I think if you've come far enough in building to be doing this coil you should be able to deduce that on your own. Now I'm off to try this coil for the first time. THANKS and keep it up!
BRILLIANT video man, thanks for making this! just a tip for anyone i find with the vice at the front of the desk you can work the braid underneath and farther away from those core wires, making it less likely to hook over them :)
Yeah dude like everyone else has said, you did an awesome job with this tutorial. You explained it very clearly, concisely, and at a pace people can follow and learn even if they have no experience with braids. Thank you so much for putting this up because I was unable to learn this concept from all other videos. I was bummed cuz this slentre braidator is the coolest looking braid and maybe coil I've ever seen. On tomyneque's instagram page he has pictures of "fused slentre braidators" where the middle of the braid where the frames are all parallel, opposed to how the braid in this tutorial turns out where the middle of the braid criss crosses. It looks like a staggered fused clapton kind of. If you would post a tutorial how to do the fused slentre braidator like on tomyneque's instagram I am sure many people would appreciate it. Thanks again man.
Thanks mate that was a great video really helped me out would love to see more braid lessons as most are not in english and the ones that are are pretty basic stuff
awesome tutorial man. I've always loved the look of theses braids but never knew how to pull it off. I'm a braided coil junkie. Lol. really can't thank you enough for this one. I just got so many new coil ideas it's not even funny. I'll be sure to link this video when I finally get around to posting one myself. thanks again
Never braided before and i must say your tutorial has helped me a-lot, some tutorials explain it like its rocket science breaking it down like you have has made it easier. Make some more videos tutorials.
awesome tutorial. couldnt fingure out how to cross over core but you showed me how!! should get some more vids out cause you explain alot and make it much eaiser!
Thanks for the tutorial man!! Really clear and useful! One thing i would say is that by taking the loop with your thumb like that and pulling it through finishing with it on your index you are in fact turning it. That small difference has been the thing stopping me from doing this braid 😂😂😂 Huge thanks again, i really appreciate the time you've taken to do this tutorial! My ig is @lowrez87 btw 👊👊👊
Dude!! Thank you so much! I've been looking for info on these for a hot minute now without ever finding something that's this simply and straight-forwardly explained! As soon I get to try this I'll make sure to tag you on IG! Are there any recommended ratios as far as to figuring out what would fit best inside a slentre based on the braid gauge?
I've made slentre braids using yarn, string. I hadn't thought of wire! The book Tassels fanciful embellishments by Nancy Welch goes over these braids and different combinations like the spiral slentre braid, slentre squared braid, 1/2 round, and my favorite is the flat braid. I haven't used the core, and wondered what you are using this for? Do you have a joining technique, or do you just get a few inches to work with?
saw in another video the guy didnt go through the the loops with his operator and just went over then passed the core through the transfer loop, could i be right or was i seeing wrong/he didnt explain right?
You're an awesome teacher. I watched another video by Squid doode and I couldn't tell what the he'll be was doing. Awesome tutorial.

Dave You Da Man @Claping_Clapton
I can't get the cores to stay in one place they keep going in other loops
good stuff
saw in another video the guy didnt go through the the loops with his operator and just went over then passed the core through the transfer loop, could i be right or was i seeing wrong/he didnt explain right?
depends on the look you're going for, both will work, but look different
