@ No, you don’t need to keep your receipt to prove you ate there. The unlimited refills are available while you’re in the restaurant. They typically give you a plastic cup that’s specific to the restaurant, or you can ask for a water glass, which is usually a small paper cup. You can refill as much as you’d like while you’re eating in that restaurant without needing to show your receipt!
Stayed at a hotel recently with unattended soda machines thinking they were unlimited as well. Turns out the cups have RFI tags in them that activated the machine. I believe those are unlimited but never assume
Thanks for watching and commenting! That’s a great point about the refillable mugs at the resorts. The refills mentioned in the video are specifically inside the Disney parks, and the machines there don’t require any chips or monitoring. Once you purchase a soda, you’ll either get a hard plastic cup to use at the restaurant (which stays there) or a paper cup that you can refill as many times as you’d like while dining at that restaurant.
Was just at Disney art and animation resort and the machines are in the back corner and unattended and I sen everyone doing it. So I did it as well. 😅 it’s weird.
Thumbs down. But there are many refill stations at quick service locations. ABC commissary is another that comes to mind. The sodas at the resorts are unlimited with rfid code on mug or cup. You do know that if people start abusing this, then there will be zero self serve stations.
Thanks for watching! ABC Commissary is such a great spot! I didn’t realize they had refill stations available after purchasing a soda to enjoy while dining in the restaurant.
I don't understand how it's considered "abusive" if a person pays for a drink that includes free refills and takes said refill. I thinks it's a great thing to share all the shortcuts that are available.
Because people will bring a cup back after the meals. When people started the purchasing of one meal for a family of 10 at be our guest at breakfast, just to get into the park early, well they now have a new menu and it is not quick service… why? Because of these “tips”. If the product is used the way it is supposed to be then it is fine, but those who try to cheat the system, ruin it for everyone. I am not local but we do visit many times a year and have an AP. I buy a refillable mug every visit. $20 for UNLIMITED REFILLS at all the RESORTS, but not the parks. And they are great travel mugs to use at home.
They have a few. We are not locals but have visited WDW 40 ish times in the last 10 hrs. I am not sure if they have removed them since May 2024-we didn’t go there in October 2024 but I do know they like you to preorder on the app. Now making a list of which restaurants serve Coke Zero, that would be great. So many only have Diet Coke as a sugar free option.
Super Helpful! Can't wait to see the other stories you'll tell on this channel :)
Thanks so much! I’m glad you found it helpful! I’ve got plenty more projects and stories in the works-stay tuned, and thanks for watching!
