We adult improvers face way too many kiddies OTB. What we need is the most solid, slow repertoire we can use to bore those kids to death. Like, “double and isolate his pawns, trade off all the pieces, and win a K+P endgame in 100 moves by a single tempo” boring.
And yes, in my last tournament I did just that in round 2

8:00 It's important to be precise with the tempo counting. White is actually up 2.5 tempi on average, a gain of 2 since the beginning of the game (when White is up 0.5 tempi). This is not quite a pawn's worth of time advantage.

I'm still playing 1...e5 Open Games and QGD Tarrasch defence. Hasn't let me down so far! Maybe after 2,000 FIDE I'll try something new.

Against 1.d4 I think there’re ton of dynamic options for black such as KID , Benoni , benko , grunfeld , Dutch & tarrasch.
But against 1.e4 the Sicilian defense is a good option of course but white has some dynamic options in the closed Sicilian and there’re cases where white takes over the initiative unfortunately most people won’t get into the open Sicilian on the other hand we have to deal with the some other main lines c3 Sicilian maybe the rosolimmo or Bb5+, let’s not forget the sidelines a3 Sicilian , b3 Sicilian , smith more gambit I really suffered from all those variations they cut all the fun from the Sicilian unfortunately didn’t manage to find dynamic option against them
Hopefully we will see a complete repertoire against 1.e4 soon!

Yeah, I struggle to get interesting positions against the rossolimo, c3 sicilian and delayed alapin. I play Bd7 against Bb5, Nf6 against the c3 sici and a setup with g6 against the delayed alapin. White is just so solid, maybe I could try playing Nd7 against the rossolimo, against the c3 sici Im not sure also not sure what to play against the delayed alapin. Any tips?

The King's Indian and the Najdorf would not be my first choice for developing players. Both are complex and theory heavy, requiring a fair amount of memorization and a flare for deep tactics.

Is it going to be a Chessable as well?

The coverage on the Najdorf isn't as extensive as the aggressive e4, so I'm going to guess not for now. If you check the Najdorf files, the games aren't annotated and the learning is mainly based on ideas and plans (Which I like).

    Good Stuff...
I like the Kan variation of the Sicilian and Hedgehog, lot of ways to transpose from both e4 and d4 openings and if white makes an inaccuracy you can really go after white...
Also like the KIA as it emphasizes the most important element in chess, king safety and it can be played against many openings; at my level i'll take equality, keep the pieces on the board and fight it out in the middle game and beyond...
