I found all three at TRU in Cincinnati today... in the Star Wars and Transformers Isle. I don't know why they weren't with the other NECA figures, but they were there. I didn't want the others, but I was able to snag the last Hive Wars Pred. Great review man! Cheers!
pixel dan ... you are the man. hive war predator is just right for me, i like blue and not that it makes a great figure, this one just happens to be super col. now, i am waiting for neca to bring out the alien king in a figure and not just the massive staute alone.
It would be great to see them do some original crazy variants as well as some more kenner ones. I guess the blue alien warrior is a neca original but i would like to see them do more then just recolour.
according to one of the interviews at toyfair ( I think it was pixeldans one ) they said that they had plans to do an alien kenner wave too but in like wave 14 or 15 somewhere down the line.
It's the bio that made me decide to get this guy. The original toy felt like a knock off as the toy and packaging all felt much cheaper than the original AvP line, and it came out well after that line more or less finished, so I never bothered to get it. But the bio and design of this guy just made him a must buy.
awesome Review Dan. I may do one my self as I have that original Kenner warrior predator to do the comparison for. didn't realize he was that hard to get now. I would love to see them do the other predator from that hive wars line ,it was soo bizarre the night recon predator.
Go for it! Yeah it's weird. The vintage one rarely shows up on Ebay, and when he does he's much more expensive than the other Kenner Predator figures. Most of them are real cheap and easy to collect these days.
Just got this figure in the mail today. However, he was pretty beaten up; his right leg doesn't move side to side, his hands are extremely loose, and there is a little chunk missing out of his gauntlet :(
Weird question. :-) Currently, the living room of my house for voice overs and editing, and the spare bedroom for filming, which is currently set up as a studio. But I'm remodeling my house right now, and building a new studio down stairs. :-)
The box says "the ultimate alien hunter". Does this mean that it's the ultimate hunter of aliens, (xenomorphs) or the ultimate hunter that is an alien? Someone please tell me!
Wow, what a gorgeous looking character !!. But the narrator could calm down a bit... he sounds like something (a Predator maybe?) -would be squeezing him at certain intervals.
I will when I get him! Most likely I won't have him until closer to his release date, which I believe is 2014 some time. Mutagen Man is my favorite figure from the original toy line, so I'm excited for this new one too!
I know how you feel Dan..my local Toys r us had like 5 of them never could justify buying them (curse of being an adult with bills) now I see them going from 50 to 90 dollars on ebay and such..kicking myself

This was my second predator I ever got and I was lucky

they're are 4 inch predators from both microman and Hottoys but these can be pricy. Ebay is your best bet to find them.
