They are not bad to keep they a lot easier than u would expect I was in the freshwater side of things for over 10 years and always wanted to do salt but I was intimidated. Well, I tried I and it is goin great I only have a 10 gallon 2 clowns 2 blue legged hermit crabs and 5 different corals I have a Lomnie asta 20 light and my corals are doing great
2 inches, is pretty average. Not a juvenile, but also not an adult. They can be trained on alge pellets, you'll just have to see. It's good to get something meaty in their diet too!
I have had a Royal gramma for 2.5 months now, and it has gotten used to the tank. Its in a 60g and has gotten along well with all my fish. I recently added a flame fin tomini, and I haven't seen my royal gramma since. Is this normal when adding new fish, because it hadn't done this before with any of my other fish
Bro change your intro music, it reminds me of a jungle music documentary like lions and tigers and hippos lol. Thanks for the videos though, very informative 😄
I have had a royal gramma for about 3 months now and it has been very peaceful the whole time but now for some reason it's starting to be really aggressive towards my other fish all I have put it with is a clownfish and a lawnmower blending is there any reason why you think it started being extremely aggressive I would like to know why??
Hey brock, do you think one of these would be good in a 30g tank ? Tankmates would be 2 clowns, 1 fiji devil damsel, 1 diamond goby, 1 fire fish. Thank you for the video !
This is kinda old but it popped up while I’m doing research so it’s worth a shot- I have a 32g with a pair of clowns, a pistol shrimp/ goby, and a purple fire fish. Do you think I could add one of these guys in?
Good video, once again. Are they the same, requirement and behavior wise, as a black cap basslet? I want to get one for my 20 gallon tank at some point. Do they hide in caves like the Royal Gramma or do they free swim more? Will the Royal Grama fight with my starry Blenny if I put one in my 75g, which has a starry Blenny?
King Adeft i gotta video of the black caps somewhere but the black caps are much more aggressive and shy. They really dwell in their caves but when they come out, they are gorgeous. And you should have no problem with that pair up in the 75.
Brock Leonard so would the Royal Gramma be better in my 20 gallon? It has two clowns and I plan to get a Dargonet as well. The total display is more about 15-18 gallons.
I had one of these and I had a BAD experience. He would go after every fish I had whenever they’d get close to his cave. Beautiful fish but from my experience aggressive. I purchased one as an adult so maybe if I bought it as a baby??
I got a 20 gallon tank with 2 Percula clown fish and I’m thinking about adding a royal gramma. Would it be okay to have 10 gallons less than the minimum ? Also I’m planning on adding a blue sapphire damselfish in the future
Would it go with along with a clownfish and a yellow tail damsel? im trying to go with a nemo themed tank lol. Also, i hear they can be aggressive towards shrimp. would it harm a pistol shrimp paired with a yw goby?
@@BrockLeonard is it normal for then to not eat much? Mine get excited for food, but he passes up the bigger mysiss shrimp, and just eats the tiny pieces in the juice
Would the Royal Gramma go along well with Gobies? (specifically a purple firefish cause i hear grammas don't like fish colored like themselves ) nice video btw :O lotsa good info!
rafatere69 You should not run into any problems unless they wanted to be territorial over the same cave. Then you might see some aggression out of the two.
rafatere69 I’d stay away from the hippos in that small of a tank. While they are small, they require a very large aquarium to be comfortable. They swim a TON.
Would the Royal Gramma be a good tank mate to the sexy/dancing shrimp? Been wanting to get some of those little guys but I've heard the Gramma might be a little mean to them and I'd rather not have them been luxury snacks haha.
piedralisk7 hmm do you have an anemone in your tank that they could host? If you did end up getting them, I would make sure to keep the gramma well fed. And put the shrimp in at night so that when everyone wakes up, it’s like they were already there.
Thank you so much! We actually don't have an anemone. I assume that if they were to host in one, It'd make them safer, ye :0? Honestly though your videos are really great. Please keep up the great work!
I love these videos man, super informative. My go to videos before I add a new fish to my tank. Keep up the good work!
Can you keep one royal gamma and 2 clown fish in a 16 gallon bio cube? Will they get along fine ?
Just maybe a bit late but is royal gramma compatible with bicolor blenny?
That should be fine
Just added a Royal Gramma to my 10g tank. It’s super timid. Everytime I walk into the room where the aquarium sits, it jets behind the rocks.
Meep Meep They definitely are shy at the beginning. Just give em’ time and they’ll get used to you! :)
you are ahsit
Brock. Appreciate you bud. You have helped me a great deal over the years. Hope you have a good Thanksgiving.
The Dx Gamer Show Got me smiling over here!😁 thank you for always watching and I hope your thanksgiving went great’
I freaking love these fish so much as a matter of fact I have one of my own
MarioMan2004 they are beautiful!!
These are my favorite salt water fish! If I ever get a saltwater tank, I will have these
Cat K Do ittt!!!☺️
Maybe one day. I’m super intimidated by salt water tanks!

One of my favorite fish.❤
World Corals Really catches your eye 👁
Just got one and was wondering he’s been bought around when he’s 2 inches so could this help determine his age? Also will he like algae pellets?

Is... Is that a predator?
Alternatively, they could have found a new cave.
Would this stock work in a 40?
- 2 ocellaris clowns
- Royal gramma
- Lubbock fairy wrasse
- Lawnmower Blenny
- Yellow Watchman Goby & Pistol Shrimp
You should be fine, just remeber to introduce the most peaceful fish first and work your way up.

I know this is 2y late but I have 2 fire fish and 1 royal gramma, (the fish in this vid)
They turned out great
What about a Ruby red Dragonet because he’s very timid and small :/ ?
Edit : it’s a 65 gallon 4 ft with lots of caves
What’s up jerry! That would be fine. We have em together in many of our reef tanks.
Hello Brock, hey Brock, hello Brock

Dumb question but do you think they would be happier in a group of them or alone?
J Brown Ima be honest, the ones I see alone in a tank are much more shy than multiple being in a tank.
from what i've heard if they are opposite genders it's okay. But a male and a male will fight each other over territory
Will this little fella get on with a blue cheek goby thanks Brock love your videos 👍
Nice videos. Thank you for your efforts. Very helpful!
Thank you for coming by to watch!!

1 cownfish, 1 yasha goby and a few sexy shrimp in a 15 gallon. Will a royal gramma do fine with them?
yes!
@@BrockLeonard awesome, thanks!
I love how you still reply to older videos
Keep up this good work!
Will it get along with my firefish? He’s kinda skittish and never attacks and hides in the rocks I’m afraid it may take over his rock.
Ash Greninja MLG pro gamer I think they’d be fine.
I had one of these and I had a BAD experience. He would go after every fish I had whenever they’d get close to his cave. Beautiful fish but from my experience aggressive. I purchased one as an adult so maybe if I bought it as a baby??
Definitely a better chance with a juvenile. But they can be very territorial over their caves either way.

T w I think if you feed em well and stay on top of your water changes, you’ll be just fine.
Just got one and three days ago, doing good so far just not sure when to feed it. And how much.
couple times a day, some frozen cubes always do well. or flates and pellets (a pinch worth)

jr.turtle120701 I think you will be fine with what you’ve picked out.
I have a 37 gallon will it do good with my Clarkii clown, Scarlett skunk, and fire fish?
Jon OGYB YES
the price sure went up
are they typically shy? I got mine last week and she seems very reserved

July 2024 planning to buy one ❤
YESSS!!!
Can I have only one royal gramma in my tank??
Pancake Productions you can have multiple!
I’m looking to get one of these but I already have a 6 line, would it be okay ?
Yes. The royal grama will be territorial over the cave it inhabits, but not the entire tank.
Would the Royal Gramma go along well with Gobies? (specifically a purple firefish cause i hear grammas don't like fish colored like themselves )
nice video btw :O
lotsa good info!
piedralisk7 I think he’d be just fine. We have plenty of tanks with royal grammas and purple firefish together.
can it go with a purple firefish in a 20 gallon?
yes!
Can you keep royal grammas with a purple dottyback?
I’ve seen it happen before. They had hideouts on one side and the dotty back had their place on the other.
Could I keep one of these with a six line wrasse?
yes!
Compatible with chromis and clownfish?
Randomized most definitely 😁
Can you have more than one I've got 6 foot fish tank
Is it safe to add the royal gramma
with a splendid dottyback

Can you still make all about the fuzzy dwarf lionfish

Just looked back at my footage and it's an Antennata Lionfish, not a dwarf :(

I really appreciate that tho❤️
Yeah shoppings weird. Did you ever go into the seafood isle and say "who eats this stuff"
No idea who mine died. Maybe he was hiding and would not eat.
What about a clown fish paired with one in a 20 gal
