@@dmp762I don’t think he means that kind of potential, just so many options and ways to tell stories and they decided to ofc make it generic and formulaic
It's been a popular troupe in comics for years and I didn't hate them to be honest. Movie studios are butchering the whole premise of it though and making up their own rules.
Multiverse has gone the same way as time travel, from being a cool plot device youd see in the appropriate setting, to its own sub genre. It’s no longer about having a cool story that happens to have time travel or a multiverse, its now all about how you can make a cool movie about time travel or a multiverse with whatever IP youre working with.
😂😂😂💯💯💯🤦🏽♀️. They are also blamers. They do terrible ideas all the way down to the ground amd then blame it on the audience that neither asked for the ideas nor did we like the ideas they put out there.🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️💯
I feel that the multivers phenomenon was done well with 2009 star trek. They found a way to tell a story without having to go back to the original actors who were +80 or not with us anymore. Most of the orignal tos movies are still great on their own and i feel they are insulated because of seperate timelines
i agree with you on the christian bale terminator movie. that could have been the start of a great new trilogy with the final movie ending with john sending kyle back in time.
I think the new Mortal Kombat 1 game did Multiverses pretty damn good and it kinda explains away why you would have situations like OG Subzero fighting another different looking version of Subzero and it's not weird
the tv show was also good and I would have been fine with two different timelines done simultaneously if done correctly and with respect to the laws of the universe they inhabited.
Multiverse stories can be great you just have to be good at writing. I actually plan on writing a story that tells an actual scientifically grounded version of the multiverse instead of the Hollywood version
I think most comic books fans already knew Kang the Conqueror was going to be the most hardest and unbelievable villain to try and fit into the movie theater because of all of his various clones. Making it seem nearly impossible to solve, with him being all over many multiverses and timelines.
The Disney trilogy has been using. The forces applied device all this time, so might as well reboot it by having like you said, Luke Skywalker, waking up from a dream, and they can probably say that’s the force, a new power or something. The force future site or forest dreaming whatever they want to call it.
It could’ve been cool for the multiverse to be mostly ignored till Loki’s finale. Maybe having Thor be the man to introduce people who haven’t seen the show would be good. Maybe even have this be the reason Thor is able to recover from the events of infinity war and end game. Good plot line potential for Thor and a reason to establish kang as a threat to Loki and what he’s created meaning the people who he protects I guess. Since Thor and Loki are so powerful they could really show him as a powerful villain, even if they barely beat him he would come back. If they waited and used Kang sparingly I think they wouldn’t have had to swap to dr doom even though it seems like Majors is making a pr comeback but idk. His introduction to major audiences wouldn’t be losing to ants. Just thoughts, there’s so much potential with marvel and the multiverse and Loki was really the only thing I liked and it dealt with the multiverse.
Its not just in American media. Even in Japanese franchises like Final Fantasy shoehorn time travel *all the time* and the trope is honestly annoying... when it extends the runtime of the game for no reason
What if they actually made a Superman 5 instead of another interpretation of an origin story? Holy Crap! A normal story of a tried and true all American hero? You know they gotta throw in something from the Panderverse into that kind of a story
The concept of multiverse is fun if you use it once in a while. But nowdays it's used so much that it really killed off the interesting aspect of it and made the viewers uncaring.
I’m fine with time travel It’s multiverse I don’t like because there’s more things they can get away with in multiverse which means no real consequences. Not saying it’s impossible, just very difficult. They could literally bring back black widow or another version with the multiverse.
Tyrone, sometimes I think it's the actors choice of killing off the character they've been playing for years. Like Han Solo, Harrison Ford definitely wanted to be done with that character and I think Stallone felt the same about Rocky. Not sure though about Stallone. So sometimes I think a special character that we the audience love so much, has nothing to do with the audience, but with Hollywood. Either way it's bullshit!
I just wanna why and how this multiverse 💩 got put into literally EVERYTHING at around the exact same time its in movies, TV shows, hell it's in Mortal Kombat now 😂
Either you like a movie or you don't. This guy puts too much emphasis on social & political issues. As Frankie Goes to Hollywood sang back in the 80's,.... "Relax".
It can definitely be done right. The Cell arc in DBZ is probably the most popular arc in the franchise.
Also Zamasu and Goku Black's alternate universe conquering are underrated.
I think the Buu saga was better Cell couldn't stop gloating about himself.
ehh I'm more partial to Frieza just cause the fights were insane. And it had emotional impact
Nothing can beat the Saiyan and Namek Saga tho.
It's a bummer that the concept with limitless potential became bland and uninspired after such disappointing Multiverse movies.
Limitation is what makes power interesting.
Infinite power makes things too easy.
Easy is boring in a story.

Disney is a strong independent company that don't need no audience

Especially the opinion of those damn men.🙄
Disney dropped the ball with the Multiverse concept.
Disney dropped Jonathan Majors
Into and Across the Spiderverse did multiverse concept well.
as much as the CW flash was thrash, they made and did the multiverse so much more interesting
it was good for about 4 seasons, then it completely dropped off
@@blutomindpretzel1735 Four seasons? More like two-and-a-half seasons.
It was decent till 4 seasons and great till 2 seasons @@TRivan-kx2bi
It used to be such a great idea… but it’s been so used and abused…
Vader couldn’t use force lightning because he had artificial limbs and that particular aspect of the force required organic tissue.
No ramifications and stakes is a huge problem and contributes to the story not being good. Especially for superhero movies.
Xmen Days Of Future Past was Excellent. They used the back to the past idea
The greatest xmen movie, it was phenomenal
Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny is also great. They did the time traveling well

i agree with you on the christian bale terminator movie. that could have been the start of a great new trilogy with the final movie ending with john sending kyle back in time.
I consider the Star Wars sequel trilogy with "hobo Luke" as being an alternate universe.
Steaks are good medium rare....
The Force is Female! (Wolf howling in the background)

The multiverse could work if written right, that goes for any story. Also, less is more.
I liked Terminator Salvation. It was basically the prequel I wanted. I needed to see the war. I was happy with T1, T2, and Salvation.
I agree with you ❤
That movie was good. I like that the machines trick the humans with a spy who didn’t know he was half robot.
Same here.
the tv show was also good and I would have been fine with two different timelines done simultaneously if done correctly and with respect to the laws of the universe they inhabited.
@@katmartiny8489 somehow I keep forgetting about the show, but I agree it was good as well!
8:06 “EL SCORPIO IS REEAADDYYY!” 💀💀
The Joker and The Batman are “multiverses” films. They are separate universes.
I love that clip of Sam Neill on the bus LOL
Wouldn't it be something to find out that Stark would've survived the snap if he would've just kept his helmet on?

When u did the M. BISON game over......I knew we were brothers somewhere in the Multiverse
And Matrix Reloaded Was Awesome
Multiverses aka we don’t have anymore ideas so there
The Disney trilogy has been using. Lester said "Now it's just superheroes, romantic comedies and remakes. None of which interest me"
The multiverse could be awesome, just in the right hands, I think Deadpool 3 will have it down pretty good
👍🤔💯I agree with Mr Tyrone Magnus. Time Travel & multiple Universes/Dimensions can be fun however only if done right
Now In the mouth of madness, that's a good movie.
What if anakin was granted the rank of master
Even if it's done right, too much of a good thing can sour.
8:03 😂😂😂

Or ,Tyrone! The Death of He-Man , Kevin Smith came up with! That was also very ...Well ...Not very clever, to put it in this Words!

I like multiverse just have not seen a movie that display it. Animation yeah
Ace Rimmer, what a guy.
if you've not watched it Red Dwarf is a classic
They ultimate have the MULTIVERSE as a get out of jail free card for screwing things up. It's pretty lazy actually.
Jet, Hei Bai, Bumi, The Blue Spirit, June & Nyla I’m in lol
Just like with any other powerful thing, the multiverse trope can be devastating in the wrong hands.
I think the concept of the multiverse has become in a nihilistic form of writing.
I like a good Multiverse / time travel movie if done right and have a good story I don't mind those type of movies at all if done right
Tyrone is more simple minded when it comes to storytelling and it’s completely fine. If it’s good and exciting then it’s absolutely 👍
TMagz and the Drinker?
I’m always down for that
That one movie sounds like Lebruhs bball career 😂😂😂
Steins;Gate is one of the best shows that did time travel well.
Disney is the cousin nobody likes at the family reunion
After that 7:30 i vote for a black like Skywalker 😂 or atleast that story
Back to the future time travel done right
Jon’s acting was intentionally hokey as it was inspired by Willy Wonka and other eccentric figures in American culture and history

I will also disagree with the fact that Mr Smith was definitely intimidating and very much a threat and all the Matrix movies
All a dream, yes, use the Bobby Ewing in a shower rewrite.
I thought terminator salvation was pretty dope
Once you introduce time travel it just creates a mess of a story. The story become why don't we all time travel.
I’m tired of multiverse stuff too with the exception of deadpool
Dragon Ball Z got away with it for years and no one complained.
I disagree with the matrix take. That was intimidating.
Xena was pretty unbeatable.
Nah He wrong about Agent Smith
Either you like a movie or you don't. This guy puts too much emphasis on social & political issues. As Frankie Goes to Hollywood sang back in the 80's,.... "Relax".
I hate the multiverse
Miles morales spider-man movies are the only ones doing it right
