But the woman that he slept with went crazy and refused to let him go, even going as far as to kidnap his daughter to force him to be with her. That's too much, he didn't rape her, they had consensual sex and so she shouldn't have the right to force him to be with her. She's crazy.
What is stupid is the wife is Too honorable to the point of stupidity and the husband is just plain greedy. He met this one and was attracted to her immediately and slept with her with no thought about his wife, nor did he feel any guilt until he was caught. This woman kidnapped the daughter and then tried to kill her and they let her off the hook. stupid. The husband still talking about "we" can help her get treatment. This was just beyond frustrating and stupid. People like this woman should be locked away from society, they just don't heal.
I often think that too, but I guess that is to show us (the viewers) that the wife is "the better person" who “sees the bigger picture” and has a strong sense of "responsibility". Chinese TV-shows love to use "responsibility" as an excuse to have a man leave his family to take care of…well, a new family (if there is a baby, like there was in this show earlier on). Perhaps it’s a cultural thing that a man can only take responsibility for cheating (and a new baby) by destroying his current family. It doesn’t make sense to me, but it happens all the time in these shows.

I don't use foul language but this drama makes me want to cuss the writer. Also, this translations is very bad. They use the word "envy" but he's really saying "hate". He should have said this a long long, long, long time ago; he should have told her this at the other restaurant. The wife is the worse because she's weak in my opinion.
In the drama it states it was only one night, but the way the husband had his family catering to this one and even taking care of her in their own home, you would think she was his ex-wife and they had been to gather for man years, instead of a one night stand. The writer went overboard because he came across as truly loving this woman in his heart.
