Thank you so much everyone for clicking on this video and joining the garden tour. This collaboration means so much to me. Thank you Jessie for visiting my garden. I learn so much from you and from myself during the tour. I had such a good time, and felt very fulfilled after meeting with you. 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
I hope everyone can get as much out of this as Crane and I did. You’ll see that we are two different people learning from each other’s perspectives. Crane is an immense wealth of knowledge with a talent for design and im so thrilled to be able to share some of that with you! More importantly, I think he will resonate with a lot of people who want to still experience the joy of growing flowers and not have the business side steal from that joy ♥️
I’m late to the game…just finally catching up on older videos. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this video. There was so much information. Totally mind blowing what can be done with perennials if grown the right way, in the right location, etc. I am rethinking cool flowers and how to overwinter them now! Some that are marginal in our zone 6b, maybe I will try to overwinter by leaving their ugly brown stems for protection like Crane’s snaps. I was cutting them all down and wondering why not a single one came back 😂. Now I see the error of my ways. Ok, I will have to watch this again and again. So much info! Thank you Jessie and Crane!!
Thank you Jessie for sharing Crane’s garden. Crane has such a beautiful garden and he is a beautiful soul! I love watching his channel. He is an inspiration!
I loved this tour! I’ve seen some of Crane’s reels or shorts or something in my feed and it was great to see more about the gardens. I’m very similar in that I have a small yard (much smaller than his) and I love growing cut flowers, but I quickly discovered that I don’t want to have my urban yard look like a farm where everything is cut as soon as it is ready and I need to hustle it out the door. Can’t wait to watch part 2.
For sure! Even for me I feel the same way in that I’d love to take a chair and book out to read in the field and right now I would never do that. Crane’s garden is an absolutely dream to spend time in!
Love Crane and love you! this is a wonderful look at a perennial garden. I'm shifting to more perennials in my own field. Makes life so much easier. Thanks for this collaboration!
What a great tour!!!! I can't tell you how much I learned....I am now on the hunt for several perennials that were shown in this beautiful garden. thanks again to you both!!!!
What a fabulous collaboration and walking tour. You are an excellent interviewer and Crane is a walking encyclopedia! Learned so much. The quality of his garden is top-notch. I can tell he does not tolerate rag-tag-looking areas as everything is neat as a pin. Thank you both for the excellent content.
Hi Crane ! I am new to your channel. I am coming over from Laura's channel.. Can't wait to see what you do next . So until next time God Bless you and have a Blessed weekend.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge step by step. I couldn’t find anyone like you when I was looking for information in how to plant and care for different types of flowers
I get so much out of your productions Jessie and this garden tour was especially enjoyable. Your both have put so much time and so much work into what you do, and the appreciation for the garden was natural and very beautiful. I know I speak for many others when I say how you both have been such an inspiration. I cannot wait to see part 2.
I got so many ideas from craney's garden! And so beautiful! Calendula....people don't like because it's sticky stamps. It's good companion planting plants with veggies too.
Such a beautiful, healthy and colorful garden! Makes so much sense that you can add compost and it will help retain moisture, to save on watering time. In some areas, the City gives out wood chips and some cities even give out free compost.
I love this video and it’s so inspiring to make your landscape a cut flower garden! Re: calendula not popular in flower farming-the stickiness/texture… I think
Right?! I’m so motivated to put more work into my landscaping. And I can see why people don’t like calendula for that reason. Btw- I’m likely going to do a post on payment methods. It’s been brewing on the back burner!
Thank you for this video! I'm intrigued by the idea of overwintering several varieties, like snapdragons and yarrow, in my personal flowerbed. Very helpful information and inspiration! 🥰
Really fun video! I have a native/xeric perennials bed but now seeing all the beautiful flowers Crane has, I'm inspired to dream up my own perennial cut garden! Thanks for this garden walk through collaboration & introducing me to another flower farmer-- love his perspective & reflection on the pace he likes to work at that feels right to him
What a great video! So lovely to see this tour and hear your conversation. I think people dislike calendula because of the sticky stems. But I grew sunset buff and it was totally worth it! Eta: the edible flowers are borage
Totally wish we could grow such gorgeous cut flower gardens here in S. Florida, zone 11a 🥵 Though we can grow the "weed" Crane mentioned, lol. Its a native we call Florida pepperweed (lepidium virginicum), the entire plant is edible, the seeds are a peppery fun snack, its a butterfly host plant and considered medicinal. Love both your channels! Best wishes, Sheri ☺
as a person who gardens in a climate similar to california, the monthly precipitation that you must be getting on a garden like that is wild to me. We might as well live on different planets!
If l had to drive an hour to get one of your arrangements i would but sadly NC is a lot further I enjoyed your flowers.so much what is your flower business called The plant in vegetable garden is "borage " a beautiful plant with small edible flowers you can freeze in ice cubes for drinks
Yes!! I brought my drone and it was so cool to fly it but I was a bit afraid because there were so many trees. It was the first time Crane saw it from high up and I always love an arial view!
Crane and I are both pretty sustainably oriented. We accept that nature will have pests and disease. Creating a balanced environment does help mitigate that to a certain degree.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the sticky stems of Calendula, and I'm not a fan of the scent. I have some that came back in 6A. I'm allowing them to stay right now, but haven't decided if I really want to cut on them, since my first sunflowers are starting to bloom.
That makes sense. When I grew calendula, they were among the first flowers to bloom in early spring and I can see them being helpful when few other flowers are around that time of the season!

get a thorn stripper, it works! for the rose stems
Such a beautiful garden, and gorgeous choices for your Bouquet.
Your garden is so gorgeous Crane! I loved learning from you 🌸🧡
Beautiful garden! I’ve learned so much from this video, thank you for sharing. I’m from Thailand, are you as well?
I love that he mentioned Georgie from Common Farm flowers! She's so amazing.
Haha yes! Us flower farmers all watch the same UA-camrs as everyone else too 🤣

Crane has such a beautiful garden and he is a beautiful soul! I love watching his channel. He is an inspiration!
He is, isn’t he? I left feeling inspired to put in more perennials!
Tout simplement passionnant! Message du Québec! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Creating beauty in the world is priceless. You two are gems.
Thank you! 💜

Thank you! Appreciate this and yes, Crane is very meticulous and it shows!
❤ Love this segment!

Loved this!! He is adorable!!
Great collaboration!
Perfect collab! Crane you are such a garden fairy! Jesse you're the best ! I can see you up on top in the near future . Love you both ❤
Thank you 🤗
That was a great walking tour. For sure those are garden goals and I’m definitely going to try again to perennialize my dahlias. Thanks to you both
Thank you! I may try to perennialize too!
That’s where I’m at trying to figure what to plant so that my yard looks beautiful in the winter too
We will try to do a tour later in the year. I'm trying to figure out the same too!
I got so many ideas from craney's garden! And so beautiful! Calendula....people don't like because it's sticky stamps. It's good companion planting plants with veggies too.
Me too! And yes, that makes sense with calendula. That’s actually why I first started planting it! When I had a veggie garden 😊
Such a beautiful, healthy and colorful garden!
Makes so much sense that you can add compost and it will help retain moisture, to save on watering time. In some areas, the City gives out wood chips and some cities even give out free compost.
Agreed, It’s also the fact that he has access to a high quality mushroom compost!
This is a great video! So much information on growing and good biz insights, Crane! Thank you both 😊
Great video! This tour was so valuable to me who wants to continue growing my perennial cut flower garden
I’m so glad to hear that! It’s def made an impact on me, added to the fact that the few perennials I do have are all blooming at once and I LOVE IT!!
I have just started watching Crane's channel. His garden is magnificent & he has so much knowledge. Great video, Jessie. l so enjoyed that. ❤❤
Thank you! His garden is a true garden. One that you want to slow down and sit in to soak in all of the beauty!
Beautiful garden!
I love this video and it’s so inspiring to make your landscape a cut flower garden!

Beautiful garden Crane. I’m very interested in expanding my fall plantings.
Thank you for this video! I'm intrigued by the idea of overwintering several varieties, like snapdragons and yarrow, in my personal flowerbed. Very helpful information and inspiration! 🥰
For sure! Overwintering is the best!

Stunning garden!!
I'm loving this! Following you now, Jessie. So inspirational. Thank you!
Thank you 🙌🏼
What a great video! So lovely to see this tour and hear your conversation. I think people dislike calendula because of the sticky stems. But I grew sunset buff and it was totally worth it!
Eta: the edible flowers are borage
That makes sense! I can certainly see calendula being sticky. And yes!! borage!!

Ah very interesting! Thank you for sharing that about the Florida pepperweed! And appreciate the kind words :)
@@bareflowerfarm 😊🌺🌴
Omg. My favorites in one video!
♥️♥️♥️
Just subscribed your channel. Your flowers are so so so beautiful
53:16 edible flowers are borage :-)
as a person who gardens in a climate similar to california, the monthly precipitation that you must be getting on a garden like that is wild to me. We might as well live on different planets!
Lol, there are definitely some very tough to grow in climates. We are lucky that we live in the "Garden State"!
If l had to drive an hour to get one of your arrangements i would but sadly NC is a lot further I enjoyed your flowers.so much what is your flower business called The plant in vegetable garden is "borage " a beautiful plant with small edible flowers you can freeze in ice cubes for drinks
I love your in-depth questions. You must surely be paying Danielle a visit too?
Danielle is about 3.5 hours away from me so not a half day trip 😅. It would be a dream to see her garden in person though
Jessie, did you do the drone shots? I love watching this video on repeat! ❤
Yes!! I brought my drone and it was so cool to fly it but I was a bit afraid because there were so many trees. It was the first time Crane saw it from high up and I always love an arial view!
OH NO your spirea has thorns!? I wonder which kind it is.
I have no idea! It was in the landscaping when we bought the house
How do you control pesticide , bugs , insects .
Crane and I are both pretty sustainably oriented. We accept that nature will have pests and disease. Creating a balanced environment does help mitigate that to a certain degree.
What kind of fertilizer do you use??
He uses Espoma.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the sticky stems of Calendula, and I'm not a fan of the scent. I have some that came back in 6A. I'm allowing them to stay right now, but haven't decided if I really want to cut on them, since my first sunflowers are starting to bloom.

That’s borage w purple flowers in your edible garden
My nigella looks awful. I don't know what to do for them.
Let them go to seed pod and dry it!
Why do you have captions on?
I wasn’t mic’d and you’ll find in certain parts it’s hard to understand me
What zone are you in?
7a.
What zone are we looking at ?
7a (New Jersey, US)
🤩🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍👍
Calendula gets a bad rap because the stems are sticky and people just don't like the feel.
Thank you! That makes sense
9.73k...Very nice work...subs kr liya hai
