I was inspired by some of the themed loadouts you do and decided to make my own that worked quite well. I call it the back-lines gunner. The main point of this loadout is using the Devotion's insane and surprisingly good accuracy at long ranges, while also handling well in CQC. Here are some of the details:
Ability: A-Wall
Grenade: Arc grenade
Primary: X-55 Devotion
-Extra ammo
-Speedloader
Secondary: Charge Rifle/Archer Rocket
-Charge hack/Speedloader
-Extra ammo
"Perks": Power Cell and Kill Report
Boost: Amped Weapons/Hard Cover
Titan: Legion
-Turbo Engine
-Enhanced Ammo Capacity
-Dome Shield
As I stated previously, the point of this loadout is to use the X-55 Devotion's great distance to pick enemies off from a distance while under the protection of an A-Wall, using arc grenades to stun pilots that charge you or while you are engaging in CQC while changing positions. For anti-titan combat, keep behind your A-Wall and fire off hard-hitting shots at enemy pilots from a safe distance. I chose Legion for this loadout because it matches the pilot's heavy armor and machine gun. While in Legion, you can either damage titans from a distance using your boost to escape behind cover, or you can use your boost to close gaps and tear through enemy titans in close-quarters.
Side Note:
For the boost I gave two options. I personally used amped weapons but hard cover could also be a huge help. It will allow you to place more shields or you might choose to place a hard cover by an A-Wall and make an even wider protective barrier.

I kind of hope they add in a piece of kit that slightly increases the amount of damage you do when not touching the floor. It would probably encourage more fast-paced, aerial combat, too.

I just started playing MP the other day. Saw this gun, remembered how bad it was in the first game and figured I would goof around with it. Well... It is now my favorite primary...I run an anti Titan setup using the SMR with speedloader and Tactikill. A- wall, firestar, charge rifle with ext magazine, Amped weapons, and power cell. Don't have low profile unlocked yet so kill report. This setup is super fun, and SHREDS titans. Amped weapons + A wall is a HUGE damage buff. :)
The "Annie Oakley" loadout... Kraber or Doubletake + Wingman Elite, all with the Ricochet upgrade... Channle your inner trick shot master.

The L-Star and SMR are my favorite weapons in this game. Both are deceptively good. I really like using pulse blade with the SMR to keep myself ontop of the situation so I can get the first shot. I use grapple with the L-Star because it's just really fun

I picked up Titanfall 2 when it hit Steam and the sale that followed and love the SMR. I was looking for advice on what addons to use but unless you said it really fast I didn't hear it in this video. Still really informative and a fun video to watch.
SMR is my main weapon it's so overlooked
SMR is a weapon I owned with on a few odd occasions but then I forgot it even existed xP
The REEEEE45 is actually a decent secondary to compliment the SMR now. Buffed some.
I would like to say that grapple, gravity star, low profile, ordinance expert and pistol and anti titan as you like. With this you can push, flank or whatever but whatever you make sure that you annoy with the grav star
I'm a really bad FPS player myself- i'm slow, i have a bad eyesight, my aiming is ****. But the SMR is the gun of my dreams! Nobody using it on PC (in the last 120 hours, only one guy can kill me with it), but i can get 15-20 kills per match (most of the time, i am the MVP of the match). Give the SMR a chance, people, it's amazing!
My challenge loadout. Kraber (With the ricochet mod), charge rifle (without charge hack), firestar, grappling hook (for scorpion style 'get over here!' kills), phase rewind (for tele-frag kills). Use any tier 1 kit, and wall hang for tier 2. You need to get wall hang no scope kills with your kraber and charge rifle. 100% skill not luck.

the SMR is the closest thing to a Bolt-gun in a non-40k game
After regen, I used the SMR instantly saw the potential in the most capable hands. Anti-titan primary with an automatic pistol secondary. A shame I have no skill.

fun thing to use with this class is the satchel charges
If people aren't a fan mof the wingman. The P2016 works well when u mag dump and can't get the kill. Then use gunrunner on the smr with speed loader for a fun time

Shooter Games with Ging3rman117 it's a bit of a homage to my love for Halo. However the expression "pink mist" also applies to blood that's have been aerated by an explosion. As the blood thins into the air it resembles a "pink mist" =)
The missiles fired from the SMR do a pretty good job in turning your enemies into pink mist.
Tony Mo I think crimson mist would of been better as it just rolls off the tongue.Just my opinion.

I’m just over here maining the SMR, no real issues. Just get used to it, and learn how to land your shots. If you can do that, you’re set.

this weapon is great! in close quarters just shot at the feet of the enemy, in long range just aim and let the autoguide do their job. incredible if firing from the hip, and perfect to distract Titan. (but it don't feel like a proper anti titan weapon)
How about Titan Drop timing? Better with No enemy or low enemy titans or better to wait for more friendly titans or ? A vid?

Hey tony i noticed (being a legion pilot) that ronin can tear me to shreds i try electric smoke but i dont always have one ready is there any ideas u got?
My favorite game mode is pilots v pilots because there's no pesky AI getting in the way and I'm terrible w titans :)

I've got a loadout for you! I don't know if it's good in general but for me its been really good. It's a CAR smg with tactikill and an mgl mag launcher. you use stim and ordnance expert and firestars. I think everything else is up to you but it is really aggressive and I've been able to go on some serious early game rampages with this loadout.
Your stim comes back after like 2 kills, firestars also fairly often and as long as you use stim to stay close quarters, you can usually rush their spawns.
Sup Tony Mo, nice vid. I LOVE the SMR if I run a sidearm. I have a quick question for ya. Which titan is the best auto titan? In my personal studies it seems Ronin is the best versus infantry. I would just like to see what you think.
Byte Knight I haven't really observed the different auto Titans too much but while I was making this video I did recognize that Scorch did really well in auto mode on the more confined maps. I think the ability to put down all those DOTS (damage over time) went a long way.
It's something I should experiment more with in the future.

Yeah the auto Scorch did catch my eye when is was successfully blocking lanes lol. I'd like to see Respawn implement more commands for the Titans in a future Titanfall title at least. I feel it would enrich the connection between Titan and Pilot in a multiplayer setting.

I run it in pretty much any class that I'm not running stim in. It definitely has its benefits.

Does anyone else hate attrition on tf2? Every match I play I get killed by campers sitting somewhere out of reach or hard to shoot. And it happens on every map too. Il be running around getting kills doing work then all of a sudden get killed by some camper behind an awall or one that's in an area that's impossible to see and get shots on (like the tower on one map). In addition to that infantry turrets are EVERYWHERE. Like I was running to the enemy extraction to cut them off and I ran into 4 turrets. I know these aren't problems specific to attrition but it feels like they're worse in that. Like I feel bad because every person I see is playing it and I'm over here being the only person in bounty hunt

Yusuf khot haha I haven't played pilots vs pilots. I only rlly play attrition and bounty hunt. And don't feel bad. We all rage quit occasionally. I usually quit after we lose rather than going for extraction simply because I actually cba to wait for that damn ship
