This is just plain narcissistic abuse which happens with some church leaders ! God is not mocked . He cares about his children and He will always expose the wolves in sheep clothing. Jesus died for us , and His sacrifice on the cross cannot be taken for granted .
For we struggle not against flesh and blood ! Leading a ministry is spiritual warfare , that is why Jesus would withdraw into a quiet place and pray all night ! If Jesus being the Son of God even had to do this , there is no way , church leaders can lead successfully without following the blueprint of Jesus Christ ! The devil will take advantage of the loopholes and cause damage .
Yet as Christian followers , let us ONLY idolise GOD ! No man should be an idol to another man , young or old ! Seek God for yourself and you will find Him ! Help us Lord .

As someone who went to Soul Survivor, i find this really sad. Some good points on leadership though

It seems that we have an issue of elevating leaders to a point that we treat them as if they are unassailable and then run cover for their misdeeds. This hurts our witness to the world at large when these issues continue to pop up within the church. There has to be accountability for leaders and the "laity" needs to always remember that our leaders are under-shepherds and are accountable to the brethren, as are we all.

The key is to have a servants heart which only Christ can mold in you. This man you speak of does not sound like a servant. He acted as a king with servants. But his behavior is indicative of a proud and egotistical Manipulator who by his actions proves he was unfit for leadership in the Kingdom.

You're right, a servant heart comes from Christ.

My understanding is that the abuse circulates around aspects of his leadership style of ignoring or disregarding those that he had previously made a big fuss of. I think the official term being used regarding the wrestling and massages are 'safe guarding incidents.' If you watch the documentary, they do use the term there regarding these things.

he was giving massages to half naked men... never once have i done that, not once in my entire life... clearly a closet homosexual.
