Hi Thio, Thanks for making this video, it was really awaited. I work for a company and we heavily use LTSC in production environment. This video is useful. Keep making good stuff.
Just a heads up, Microsoft knew people switched over so now they added Xbox and people features and bloatware to LTSC. You would have to debloat it using special software.
Sorry Thio, every reason you stated for why you don't want LTSC is incorrect, hardware is supported and it doesn't have all the junk on it that nobody wanted in the first place. NOBODY USES OR WANTS CORTANA
It is basically the best version of Windows 10 you can get. Don't listen to Microsoft that it isn't good, they don't want you to use it, because they make extra money from collecting all the data and all the preinstalled bloatware. It is bloatware free, it doesn't have Cortana, you can turn off every data collecting/tracking service and it doesn't update on its own! It runs more stable and faster.
I have it in my computers, runs great. I can care less about new features. I'm a Graphic Designer so I need to jump right onto my apps. Windows features is not something I want and need.
I've been using win10 LTSB for two and a half years and I'm telling you that thing is the most robust OS I've ever have installed to date. Super fast, super stable and amazingly reliable. TBH it's one of the least annoying MS code out there. Just sayin' son...
I have installed Win 10 LTSC 2019 v1809 on every computer at our office after the debacle with consumer Win 10 (Pro version) which was shipped with it on our systems, random hickups, errors, freezes, and even BSODs after finishing updates on the previous OS but since reinstalling the machines with Win 10 LTSC 2019 v1809, there hasn't been a single error, hickup, freeze or even BSOD on these machines. Superstable, responsive and light on the machines. Turned off all the known telemetry during install and disabling Windows update through services.msc. We do a full update once a year at the last month when the employees are on holiday so no obstruction during workhours/workdays, Windows Defender updates we run during the weekends outside workhours.. All've been running so for almost 4 years. Rockstable and very responsive OS 👍
This is the best version of Windows 10 and it's a shame that Microsoft don't offer it legally to the general public because it doesn't have any of that bloatware crap and unstable updates that the normal Windows 10 has...
"It's not going to support new hardware and silicon". Absolute, Definitively, Incorrect. In Education we used LTSB exclusively (now LTSC), our 2016 LTSB still works absolutely 100% on brand new motherboard, cpus, graphics cards. While it blocks feature updates, you still get all the standard windows update, (patch tuesday is still a thing) automatic detection of hardware, driver updates, latest plug and play etc. Now i'm still not saying the general public should go and pick this up, there were feature updates that heavily impacted gaming over the last 3 years. If you were still running the LTSB product you would be missing out for sure.
In the past, OS/2 used to be the operating system of choice where stability was paramount, in applications such as lab equipment. By the way, the last Windows 10 security update caused my PC to get stuck when it restarted, so I had to cycle the power twice to get the machine to finish booting :P
Used to be IT for a Private Academy (grades pre-K to 12) & their security system was extremely high tech. Had Mag Locks(took 1000lbs to break lock, instead of normal 350-800lbs), infrared cameras, motion detectors, PIR for egress doors, electronic crash bars for egress, card readers at every entry/exit(used keyfobs or tags to allow movement & tracking throughout buildings), cctv, & the list goes on. The funny thing about all this high tech gear & system.....ran on legacy hardware/software with a PC running Windows 2000 & the server running Windows Server 2003 R2... Kinda crazy. Don’t work with them anymore, but as of 2015 Extended support for this version of Windows server ended; & have know idea what they did, hopefully upgraded & are not continuing running MS Windows Server 2003.....but many organizations in today’s world usually don’t upgrade tech when supposed to(yes it’s a pain, but rather update things then suffer consequences). Cheers✌🏻
If you want to delay (or disable) Windows updates on the home edition you can use very simple trick to mark your connection (WiFi & Ethernet) as metered connection and change in Windows Update settings to not download updates over metered connection. Works great and Windows is not forcing any of the updates until I want to

I have used Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB like just 1 month ago. I actually got the pirated version on DVD from Bangladesh. It is a Windows 10 DVD pack that includes all versions of Windows 10 in 1 DVD. Unfortunately it is not quite true that there is no Cortana. Yes there isn't, but in a way there is, the SearchUI.exe is still there and sucks memory as well as using Network data. When it goes to Suspended the RAM wasn't being released down to 0 K. It was still staying at 30MB in Task Manager. The same went with ShellExperienceHost.exe not going to 0 K. There was also an issue with System / System Idle Process Memory leak where after gaming the system RAM would completely jump to like 200 MB RAM or so. Normally this part should remain at 20 K 8 K and must not budge but that wasn't happening. There were also huge bugs like if you were to disable Action Center it will still warn you with a balloon message that you must turn it on at every windows startup. There were also a variety of other error messages in the Windows Event Log that were unfixable. After gaming the Full Screen in Chrome was messed up running in bordered. I tried searching for a Windows 10 LTSB update but it couldn't find latest updates. I don't know if this 2015 version was upgrade-able. But anyway, I gave up and subsequently reformatted and decided to go to Windows 10 Home and then reformatted again to go for the Pro edition because I wanted group policy editor. The RAM consumption was also very similar at 1.1 GB 14% used out of the 8GB RAM. However, one thing interesting to note is that when I completely renamed the Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy to disable SearchUI.exe then RAM dropped to 720 MB 9% exactly like how Windows 8.1 was consuming. Unfortunately this disables windows search and causes loads of errors in event log. So yes, Cortana is not there. But that bloody folder Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy is still in the LTSB/C versions of Windows 10. So I'm not really seeing any benefits of this version of Windows. Unless someone with a 2016+ version can let me know if any of these issues have been resolved.

@@blitheixgaming1289 As far as I can tell a Windows 10 Enterprise license or the super expensive MSDN subscription is the only way to get Windows 10 LTSC legitimately, though it is possible to pirate it.

NTSC is an american version
Do not agree with this, have been using it on my workstation for about year or so and has been performing perfectly. In the meantime my wife had two semi-annual updates on her personal laptop, broke it both times to a point that I had to re-install Windows from scratch. For anyone who does not need Microsoft Store, Edge, Cortana and similar bloatware I highly recommend this version of Windows (but only if you know what you are doing).
"feature updates" code for BLOAT!
Hi Thio,
Thanks for making this video, it was really awaited.
I work for a company and we heavily use LTSC in production environment.
This video is useful. Keep making good stuff.
Just a heads up, Microsoft knew people switched over so now they added Xbox and people features and bloatware to LTSC. You would have to debloat it using special software.
Indeed, use MSMG ToolKit or NTLite, NTLite is the best tool but it's not free.
I prefer filling up my hard drive and not let windows install updates.
or I'll just disable my Internet.
what's your hard drive space like 20gb??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You know you can just disable the Windows update service and that will stop all updates?

I don't understand why I wouldn't want it ? its a stripped down windows 10 without bloatware, ect. Sounds like what most advanced users would want.
in a nutshell, windows 10 ltsc is just windows without annoying stuff
True. It doesn't have any UWP apps installed except from the one that you really really really really need.
That annoying stuff is how they make their money.. So it's not going away
I've been using win10 LTSB for two and a half years and I'm telling you that thing is the most robust OS I've ever have installed to date. Super fast, super stable and amazingly reliable. TBH it's one of the least annoying MS code out there. Just sayin' son...
I'm using LTSC and I can honestly say that I don't miss the microsoft store, at all.
Why do I feel you are anti itsc rather than focus solely on reviewing it good or bad.
BTW pirates can get it free of cost.
please do a video on the group policy editor
imagine not using windows 10 LTSC
Just defer updates (which Windows now allows on every version I think) and use the registry editor to delete WS, Cortana and Edge.
Cheers✌🏻
Late 2020 person here, LTSC 2019 works fine with the latest Nvidia drivers, MS Office and works fine with Ryzen 5000 series chips.
If you want to delay (or disable) Windows updates on the home edition you can use very simple trick to mark your connection (WiFi & Ethernet) as metered connection and change in Windows Update settings to not download updates over metered connection. Works great and Windows is not forcing any of the updates until I want to
true however it will also stop security updates too so would not recommend
It's called /r/piracy that's how you get LTSC for free lmao

i thought the whole idea about LTSC = "i don't want all the Features, get lost with your bloatware garbage and give me an decent OS"
WHAT 1200 DOLLARS??? for something that should be our OS instead of the Facebook OS???? WTF
Air Traffic Controller using Windows... that sounds like a horror movie plot. 😜
I also use windows LTSC and i find it's better then everything i have used

I've been using LTSC on my GPD win for a few months and haven't had any issues. imo if microsoft made a "windows 10 pro LTSC" then i could imagine it being more popular than normal win10
Oh this is the Microsoft guy. That's why he wants us to install bloatware. I totally forgot lmao
Rest in peace Windows POS 2009.
Nobody but banks and stores ever used you, but your updates allowed us XP users to get 5 more years of support.
Beign 50 meters next to a WiFi network will not make your windows xp explode
We use it in production (Stainless steel factory), where the process is the same every day so if it works do not fix it so production isn't halted because of updates (You do not want a vat of molten steel to cool because your PC has to restart)
Wait, did he just suggest that air traffic control systems are running on Windows 10? I'm never flying again!

I've got an ms Windows tablet (originally with 8.1) I tried several versions of Windows 10 (even though I think 8.1 was much snappier there) and I was looking for lightweight ones I found LTSC which I had no idea what it is.. so I downloaded it thinking its some lightweight one installed it on my tablet (Z3735F) and it ran good I was wondering what does the LTSC stand for I thought its some makeshift lightweight version due to the bloatware and some functions missing (ie power settings don't include CPU utilization settings).
I was also about to look for a way to permanently block off Windows updates but I thought hmm lets look and see what LTSC actually is so you basically saved me a bunch of time! Thanks
I was given a Windows 7 Enterprise Computer. While trying to figure out how to upgrade it to Windows 10 I ended up at Windows 10 Enteprise. Version 22H2 (OS 19045.3324)
Is there a way to downgrade to either WIndows 10 Home or Pro without losing any of the programs, files, data ? When I look up the version of this WIndows 10 Enterprise I don't
see LTSC written anywhere. Right now the Windows 10 Enterprise on this computer needs activation. I am getting conflicting information.. One bit of info I heard is if I activate the
