Russia was the first
Russians can not wait until Russian language support appears in Aloud, and while the content authors manually "attach" Russian dubbing to their videos. Both have every chance of never happening, but the residents of Russia began watching all videos in English with a Russian translation back in 2021, without a single exception. Moreover, not only with subtitles, but also with a voice.
Such an opportunity, as reported by CNews, in July 2021, was provided to them by the domestic Internet giant Yandex. As in the case of Aloud, the service is based on artificial intelligence and translates everything that is said in videos in real time. At the initial stage, the service supported only English, but could "on the fly" change a female voice to a male voice and back depending on the gender of the speaker.
In other words, Russia created automatic video dubbing implemented through neural networks two years earlier than the United States, while not having at its disposal an equally large video hosting service.
Then it became more
While Aloud as part of UA-cam has to be activated manually for each video by the author, the Yandex service has gone far ahead. CNews wrote that by August 2022, the domestic translator had learned how to translate live broadcasts in real time and also change voices. the dubbing is superimposed on top of the original track - the voice on the latter is slightly muffled, but all other sounds remain clearly distinguishable.
Now the choice of languages has become even wider. 9 languages are available.
❤👌
Very expensive if you don't do that professionally. And if you want to try out with a 5 min video you have to enter your email and in the end you CAN'T TEST because although you can "Sign in for free credits" you only get 1 credit and it requires 5 additional credits even for a test, which is a SCAM ! 👎
