      Sweet Drop Without LeBron this Cavs team probably would have been lucky to win 10 games this year. Without Harden, the Rockets are still in the playoffs and a very good team. LeBron also had better stats. It's literally just about team success at this point.

    • @ArDeeNY1
      @ArDeeNY1 6 років тому +26

      Exactly, I don't know what they judge the MVP on, but it can't be actual value or else LeBron would pretty easily win it just about every year

      Its what the media can sell as a story line, harden finally getting a mvp after 2 straight runner up and leading a team to finaly best the warriors in the regular season. Its a media story award

    • @MarkDarnell
      @MarkDarnell 6 років тому +6

      Harden has had a better story this year than LeBron. They had the best record and he has been far more consistent. It’s a regular season award not playoff award. That’s how LeBron is not the MVP this year. If we based it off talent, clearly LeBron would when it every year, but it’s not a talent driven award, unfortunately your team could cost you losing the award, and you cannot get the award without winning. Houston finished 1st in the WEST, not the sloppy East. The Cavs almost completely changed their roster this year, that also messed up LeBron’s chances. Truth is, Harden has had a more consistent and better year, allot of credit goes to his teammates hitting shots, good coaching and a consistent roster, and your MVP this year goes to that beard in Houston, period.

    Nick expects LeBron to drop 40+ points, play 44+ minutes doing everything and guard DeRozan? In year 15? Is he crazy? He must really think LeBron is a machine. Raptors would either have to choke on a legendary level or LeBron's supporting cast to all of a sudden play like a playoff team (not a championship caliber team, just a playoff team) for the Cavs to beat this raptors team.

      Thomas Lawing thats the price of being the best in the world. I watched Kobe assist to terrible teammates and get 10+ assists and they say "he has to be more aggressive". Then when he's more aggressive "he's a ball hog" and "he never passes". That's the price of being great.

    • @ThaFixture
      @ThaFixture 6 років тому

      Tevin McCray They have never said he has to be more aggressive in his career other than when he lost to Phoenix in the playoffs. They have always said he needs to be more efficient. For the typical star player like Lebron, Harden, KD, they usually take 5-10 less shots to score the same amount of points compared to Kobe. Kobe was more of a volume shooter a la Russell Westbrook for a very long time. He got a little more efficient eventually but still shot 5-10 more field goals than the average superstar to get the same amount of points

      Thomas Lawing
      He could actually adapt to a team system for once in his career instead of insisting on only playing the LeBron system. All I’ve heard over the years is what a great team player he is and how he makes his teammates better but it’s obvious from watching him play that it’s actually the opposite, but to most of you fans you don’t realize it because you think a lot of assists equates to team play...Westbrook and LeBron are perfect examples that it’s not necessarily the case. LeBron’s an amazing individual player that puts up huge stats, but if he learned to play in a team system years ago he’d have a much better Finals record by now.

Victor Oladipo is unguardable. They had a solid bench and Thad Young's value on both ends is priceless. They could have taken any team (in the East at least) to 7. Oh I didn't even mention Miles Turner. I don't this the Raptors are that much better top to bottom, if at all.

    Kyrie leaving was the worst thing to ever happen to LeBron. Yea he had great games, but now you got to play a better Toronto team that moves the ball more, gotten better at the 3, better bench and was top 5 on offense and defense. He'll be even more exhausted than before. They gonna really need him to play all 48 mins 😂😂😂. And before someone brings up "tOrOnTo AlWaYs ChOkEs AgAiNsT lEbRoN", no, they lose to a team that had LeBron and 2 other allstar caliber players with a better bench the last 2 years...and last year Kyle Lowry got hurt, which made it even easier for them to get swept. Not saying Cavs will lose, but this is Lebron's worse team in a long time while this is the best Raptors team in a long time or even ever.

Kyrie left and it was prove outside the media that he did not like the fact that they were basically saying he was going to be the man and then get LeBron like days later. He also had to play a style he didn't want to play as well. Like Kyrie said, "i want to play like a point guard". He couldn't with LeBron.

      Tony Boots Kyrie left because he wanted his own team and the organization was trying to trade him. Lebron told them not to trade him but the owner hates Lebron so he did it to get at Lebron. Lebron didn’t drive him alway the Cavs organization did.

      Bruce Rivers
      Not true. LeBron was pushing Gilbert to make a trade for Paul George and Eric Bledsoe or somehow for his buddy Chris Paul for Kyrie and it didn’t fall through. Kyrie heard about that proposal and wanted out (as most players would after that). Then Dan Gilbert told LeBron that he wouldn’t trade Kyrie if LeBron signed an extension which LeBron was not willing to do. So Gilbert had no choice but to trade Kyrie to try to get something for him because he knows LeBron is leaving after this season. But God forbid LeBron ever gets blamed for his selfish ways, right?

    • @Rivs5117
      @Rivs5117 6 років тому

      Tony Boots lol why would Lebron sign away his life to a owner who is racist and hates him. The bottom line is that Kyrie has that Kobe Mentality and wanted to lead a team and unlock his true potential. He was going to leave anyway when his contract was up and I don’t blame him but I’m not going to act like he left solely because of Bron. Kyrie is a alpha and he did what alphas do.

    Nick, if Demar Derozan doesn't score more than 20 in a game, it doesn't spell disaster for the Raptors, in fact they were engineered this season in order to avoid these one-man-shows, and increase their ball sharing to generate more consistent, and more efficient offense. Demar did score more than 20 points in 4 of the 6 games in the series against Washington, but his scoring percentage didn't equate to surefire wins or losses. In the final road game on Friday, he topped off at 16, but they won handily in the fourth by outscoring the Wizards 29-14.
    The "culture reset" has made it so they don't have to fall back on him when they need offense to pick up. They have a solid starting line up and a deep bench that has a lot of young, raw talent. Dwane Casey can point to any one of his players and make them the focal point of their game plan, and it works. Who can Ty Lue turn to on their roster to carry on scoring in Lebron's absence? Korver? Nance Jr.? Calderon? JR Smith? None of those aforementioned players have been shooting with more than 33% accuracy from the field.
    Face it, if Lebron has a couple of off games, or can't play more than 40 minutes due to exhaustion, or god forbid he gets injured, the Cavs have no-one to fall back on. The Raptors identity isn't exclusively Derozan, or even Lowry. It's a collective, and it's won them the number one spot in the Eastern Conference, home court advantage throughout the playoffs, and the best home court record, tied with Houston (pssst! Who the Raptors swept this season at home).

      You made up a narrative though, hardly anyone says LBJ didn't contribute. On the other hand y'all act like LBJ won rings alone or had zero superteams, and that he alone carried them. When he loses it's bc his teammates didn't show up, or the chemistry wasn't there. LBJ can play passive which he has and it's "well he was trying to get his teammates involved".
      It's all excuses when he loses, rinse and repeat every yr.

If they can keep this going then they don't need Kyrie, Cavs is hitting the finals AGAIN this year. I'm putting my words down here right now: Cavs in 4 against Raptors; Cavs in 6 against Celtics

  • @kelleywhitehurst3180

    This is a cool scenario... Chicago Bulls win the championship next year! The starting 5 is Chris Paul, Buddy Hield, LeBron, Laurie Markkanen, and Boogie Cousins. CP3 and Boogie are on player option contracts that pay in year two so they can stay under cap. Bron gets the max at around 33 million. This would give the Bulls 5 excellent shooters at the perimeter and a power house down low.

If he doesn't play greate in the final we can blame him, but not winning a final should not determine your greatness. The entire team wins a final not an individual. What i know is lebron has had team mates who don't show up when it counts so why should i put tjat on him.
