I don't know why it appeals to me so much...but I think the y-wing is one of my favorite looking ships in star wars. Thanks so much for this video! Was really lovely to see all these ships! :D (just got into the game with my mom, and we're hooked! haha).
my favorite ship is slave 1 I like how versatile it is and how fast it can go. but of all the bigger ships in star wars my favorite big one is of course tantive iv

YT 2400 has the gap between the Cockpit section and the main section the ramp lowers in that space off of the main hull it is featured in Star Wars Shadow of the Empire.
+John Prescott They indeed all Plastic! If you want to know more about the game, I have also reviewed some of these larger ships in greater detail in their own dedicated videos.
Wow, what a cool collection, but I missed the Tie-Interceptors (grey+red), Slave I, Darth Vaders Tie Fighter, Tie-Bomber, Tidyrium Shuttle, Tie-Phantom..and and and.. If Tom is all he has poor :-)
NANO-Nils I think the models alone are great! These 11 ships cover just the Rebels... I am currently making the Imperial ships video... Yes I have them all, Yes I am poor. (One hobby feeds another) ;)
Ricky Wright I am currently working on doing an Imperial Wave 1 to 5. Not sure when the Raider will reach the UK. I have also just got my hands on Scum and Villanary!!! Watch this space...
Have you tried Star Wars imperial assault? It's made by fantasy flight games and is more of a standard game but the pieces are detailed and collectible. You should look into, just a little warning it is expensive to start out with the base set around £60 but instill think its great for the money
supereggman2000 I keep seeing it in our local game shop. Picked it up (and down again) a few times already... Agree, does look great... But am worried I will have too much Star Wars and think a variety may be better. (So maybe I will branch into Attack wing etc) Also I am really looking forward to Scum and Villainary so saving my pennies to purchase all of that when it out here in the UK. A third faction is going to really mix things up for X-Wing this year. ...in a good way.
Tom Strong Reviews a good FFG game to look at is Battlelore, iv played it before and like it so much I may get it myself bearing in mind my friend who has it only lives up the road and is pretty much always available for a game! Its a Hex grid 'wargame' ( not as wargamey as warhammer and others like that) in which you have 2 sides with very detailed models nd different units and then you play cards which allow you to move certain units and then attack the enemy. It is £50 but with around 150 detailed pieces and a highly detailed gameboard + terrain hexs which change the properties of that hex, I really think it's worth it. Maybe it may not be your cup of tea but if it is defiantly resrarch it and ask around. I think it's one of the best games around the £40-£60 mark, a lot better than the star wars imperial assault which I may sell for a copy of battlelore!
Tom Strong Reviews but if you are saving up for the new wave of x-wing miniatures you may not when to fork out for another game and I respect that. Just take a look at battlelore and tell me what you think
Great video, really surprised that from almost 40k views you only have 234 likes. i would like to like it twice (or more). Got about 7 week before I get a starter set for my birthday (and I know I'm getting it because I had to order it :). I have seen that the best upgrade from starter set is get a second starter set, but I'm not sure to get a second original or a Force Awakens. I know that the latter comes with the updated damage deck, but I'm really old school and prefer the old style X-Wings and Tie Fighters (I'm over 50 and remember the original Star Wars when it came out) Gotta go look for the Micro machines in the loft. I'm sure i have an X-wing, Tie Fighter, A-Wing and perhaps even a Y wing.
A second set IS. A great idea. Double your ships and gives you the right amount of dice and each player enough movement templates. I have actually got 2 x original sets + 1 of the new (for the cards)... (I am also an 'original' (over 50 here as well!) but warming up to the newest movies)
Alas, as there are so many combinations of sets and cards that some people may or may not have to build a squadron out of, I do not. I will however recommend some card combinations 'out of the box' and suggest why I think that works well etc.
TheFewzz It is a GREAT game. The best place to go is actually the Fantasy Flight web site. They have great explanation videos that go through the whole game overview.
+TheFewzz Modifications are special type of Upgrade cards. Each ship can equip ONLY one modification, and some of them have restrictions (like "Huge ship only" or "TIE only"). I hope this comment will help you :)
A Van with awesome jets out the back maybe... and a sleak cockpit... In fact - I dont see the van thing at all! ;) The A-Wing is a bit of a classic shape. My faves are the B-wing and Slave... :)
+Alex Armani Dont't get me wong, just buy the ones you like the look of, but dont throw away any of the cards etc.. Then maybe one day buy the starter set to get you an X-wing and two TIEs. Thats all you need.
From the seventh wave. I stopped playing for a couple of years but now the new edition rules are out, fallen in love with the game again. Do you rate the K-wing highly? What build do you normally go for?
NitroGamingFw (DUTCH GAMING CHANNEL) I get mine mostly from my local independent hobby store. If you do not have one near you then you will have to look for these on Amazon / eBay etc.

+twitchster77 Glad you enjoyed my quick ship tour video. It is a brilliant game! Hope you both have some great flying fun!

The Outrider
I recognize those weird ships from games. The Z95 headhunter is featured in jedi knight jedi academy and the YT2400 in shadows of the empire
Great paint job on the Moldy Crow (HWK 290)!
Roj H Thanks! I though it needed 'something'... :)
Am I the only who thinks the E-wing looks like a Viper Fighter from the original Battlestar Galactica?
13stooge it looks more like jek 14’s stealth starfighter
YT 2400 has the gap between the Cockpit section and the main section the ramp lowers in that space off of the main hull it is featured in Star Wars Shadow of the Empire.
Great video, thanks for sharing. :)
spencerrob Glad you liked it. :)
are these ships plastic or die-cast metal? Thanks! GREAT review!
Best,
John Prescott

Hello Tom, will you be doing a review on all Imperial ships Wave 1 to 6? Including the new Imperial Raider?
Thanks.

supereggman2000 sorry about typos and grammer errors, phone keyboards aren't always the best when you need to write a quick reply.

supereggman2000 Cheers for your pointers, I must have missed battlelore, I will look out for it sounds like it might be my cup of tea.

OK cool it kinda looked that way. thank you
The circle on the one side of the YT 2400 is a docking ring not an escape pod
TheLinkazoid Thanks for the clarification. I was not certain.
Attention fanfilm makers, here's your filming miniatures.
Do you have a video that talks about possible strategies for the ships. For new players this would be good.
Alas, as there are so many combinations of sets and cards that some people may or may not have to build a squadron out of, I do not. I will however recommend some card combinations 'out of the box' and suggest why I think that works well etc.
I am new and trying to learn this game, can someone explain to me what are Modification cards, who or how are they used etc?

I feel bad. I think the A Wing looks like a van with wings. Interesting stats though. Everyone else in the world loves it so I must be wrong.

The A-Wing is a bit of a classic shape. My faves are the B-wing and Slave...
:)
+Tom Strong Reviews sorry I said the wrong one. I meant the E Wing. I am a dunce :-) Dead interesting vid.
So we will see these new star fighter in the new Star Wars The Force Awaken?
I love Rebel.
Hey, just wondering, do the S-Foils open and close on the X-Wing?
marchesepe Wouldn't that be good if they did! Alas, they do not.
wow I dont play the game but Just wanna buy to collect looks way too cool compared to those toys made by micro machine. buying this to display
+Alex Armani Funny you should say that... Originally that was my plan.... But the game is SSSOOOOOoooo good!
I recommend to do both. :)
+Tom Strong Reviews oh I have not learnt this game yet :) Just came to know of this game and ships while searching google images
+Alex Armani Dont't get me wong, just buy the ones you like the look of, but dont throw away any of the cards etc..
Then maybe one day buy the starter set to get you an X-wing and two TIEs. Thats all you need.
The Millennium falcons satellite was backwards
Did anyone hear darth vaders breathing effect during parts of the video
rossy michel I can also do a half decent Wookie...
Can you remove them from the stands
Yes. All ships can be removed from their bases.
This video shows bases and pegs in more detail:

What wave is the K-Wing? I can't seem to find it yet i battle with it all the time.
From the seventh wave.
I stopped playing for a couple of years but now the new edition rules are out, fallen in love with the game again.

The Z-95 is a great ship basic for the points.
Where can i buy them for in Europa ?
