I always hate when people try and deflect genuine criticism as just baseless hate. The points that you brought up in 2019-2020 were legit. Luckily it does seem that Maxx Crosby was aware of some of his shortcomings and has improved to a huge degree. It's just another lesson that, just because we criticize someone now, doesn't mean we'll continue to criticize them if they improve. Most good analysts will give proper credit where it is due. This is a good example of that. Keep up the good work Marcus!
Well said! And thank you!
really wish the nfl had a most improved player award, having that discussion is so much more fun than comeback player of the year imo
Imagine we had Josh Allen over Clelin Ferrel with Mad Maxx
i just wanna see josh allen sack josh allen some more
Maxx: "You don’t know what ur talking about"
Marcus: *IM ABOUT TO BREAKDOWN THIS MANS WHOLE CAREER*
This video proves how much I appreciate you as an analyst.
Fantastic content Marcus. This video is awesome. Would love more content like this!
That's my plan for the future!!!
Malcom Koonce has also been impressive on his limited snaps these past two games. The sack he had on Mahomes reminds me a lot of Khalil Mack
What a character arc.
Maxx the "Magic Man" Crosby.. Now you see me... Now you don't
Showing Raiders love 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Pure heat 🔥I love this content, also congrats on the wedding
Some of the raiders love
Thank you for the film session on Mad Maxx! Definitely helps with how far the Raiders have fallen.
Sack Barrett also gots a nice spin move
What I've always thought about Sack Barrett is he has von Miller technique but what holds him back is he doesn't have von Miller size or athletism, he's like if you put von millers mind into an undrafted body, I'm sure DeMarcus ware also had quite the influence on him lol, I just wonder if you agree with that statement
Appreciate the Crosby love as a raider fan!
Love the film breakdowns🙏🏻
You can tell a lot of effort went into this. Well done! Have a great wedding!!
Rashawn Slater would be a good one to analyze.
Ty for video. I am raiders die hard and felt good to get some good praise lol after my last weeks. Stay up and God bless.
do Rashan Gary next pls
No younger Bosa, but he's, good
Not even close lol
Raiders draft really good in the mid rounds. If they didn’t waste all their 1st rounders they would be in the playoffs. Haha
I need a vid like this for nick bosa, this was fun to watch
Glad you enjoyed!
@@ThatFranchiseGuy you’re the man keep up the great content!
Respect
as a dolphins fan ive loved watching and hoping he does not get resigned and we can get him but oh my god is he fun to watch abuse offensive linemen and i dare not mention madden dude is a cheat code
Noti gang
MADD MAXX THE CONDOR 🦅☠️
Oh man, as a Colts fan, this makes me not look forward to what he will do to Carson Wentz in week 17, our tackles are horrible/
Idk why but I knew it was gonna be maxx crosby
Lmao he really got mad at Marcus
great video !
Glad you enjoyed!
It's a little ironic how Crosby would get all of these sacks in his rookie year while not getting that many pressures while this year he's pressuring the quarterback at an elite level but he doesn't have the sack numbers to put him on notice as a DPOY candidate.
I was wrong but Im not wrong the video. Maxx had weird stats, but he was always excellent as a player. It's almost like he was an outlier for a reason. His stats are lining up with his skill and talent.
Wish he could get more sacks though
Unless Garrett or watt breaks the sack record I give defensive player of year assuming crosby continues
It’s crazy he only has 5 sacks
He gets held all day and they never seem to call it much I think that will change now that he makes so much money even being a former 4th rd pick caused some disrespect.
The way he plays reminds me a lot of Danielle Hunter
Danielle gets sacks
He reminds me of Von Miller. The way he gets off the edge quickly
"What a day! WHAT A LOVELY DAY!!!"
- Mad Maxx after sacking a QB, probably
You're showing this tape... and the first thing I notice on film is how garbage Ravens Villianova is at pass blocking.. dude is way past his relevancy
Defensive player of the year? No he ain’t having that type of year far from that
Maxx Crosby is the prime example of why sacks are a bad stat to measure edge rushers, both his rookie year and this year are literally the best possible examples for this
Sacks are not a bad stat lmfao. All the elite passrushers consistently gets sacks. I think pressures are overrated and subjective. Crosby is a good number 2 rusher but he’s not close to Bosa, Garret , or Watt. Crosby has been sackless all but 2 weeks this season.
@@bruhman562 sacks are more of a team stat, and surprisingly no, alot of the top players in pressures don't get much sacks, Carl Lawson for example had hella pressures a couple years ago but not alot of sacks, unless the qb is completely oblivious one guy winning usually isn't gonna result in a sack
@@felixlara2945 nah Nick Bosa had 14 sacks and is the most double teamed edge rusher in the nfl. Elite defensive ends don’t go sackless for 11 weeks.
@@bruhman562 Nobody is saying sacks are a bad stat. It's just that pressures and QB hits and hurries are just as beneficial as getting a sack. Even if you have 6 sacks, getting lots of pressures, hits, and hurries, you will still be a good edge rusher. Sacks are good, but to say that they are what makes a lineman, that's wrong tbh
@@anthonysalvato6537 no pressures don’t equal sacks especially if the qb still completes the play. Pressure are overrated and subjective. I look at qb hits more then pressures
Would love more videos like this from you. Great work as always
100% glad you liked it! That's the plan, especially for next season.
I know theirs holding in the NFL but its a super crime how often Crosby is held and not called its like every other play that right there shows you how beast he is.
So i have a question. What defines a Preassure? Pushing the lineman back? Forcing the QB to move? Beating your blocker? Im curious.
You have to effect the quarterback to get a pressure, you get a win for beating your block but if the QB gets the ball out quick and never sees you coming you don’t get a pressure, at least that’s my understanding
Shame the Raiders are an abomination. They actually have talented pieces.
MaddMaxx spent the entire offseason after his rookie season in rehab, so he didn't get a chance to workout, gain size, strength and power, and hone his skills, like he finally got to last season and look how much he improved when he did, this offseason he has done the same... in fact, my buddy says that his car is always there the first thing in the morning and then he is there all day, every day, so I imagine that he'll make a similar jump in physical ability and production if all things were the same, but they're not... now, he has the added benefit of a defensively brilliant Defensive Coordinator in Graham that knows how to put his players in a position to have success and he is bold enough and brave enough to call a variety of blitzes while forcing opposing QBs to hold onto the by disguising coverages and showing the illusion of pressure, so those QBs have to be disciplined to hold onto the ball and make the proper reads of the defense or run the risk of throwing interceptions directly into the hands of Raiders defenders, giving MaddMaxx that much more time to complete the sack and strip-sack on any given 5 or 7 step pass play, and now add in the fact that he has a rejuvenated and healthy Chandler Jones collapsing the pocket from the other side, and Bilal Nichols, the 2 Butlers, Hankins, and Farrell and Ferrell, and possibly Suh or Goldman or Philon, resetting the depth of the pocket and providing pressure up the middle and I expect MaddMaxx to be absolutely dominant!!!
Not to mention that with the highly capable subs of the proven Kyler Fackrell and the up-and-coming with the potential to be dominant Malcolm Koonce backing the Raiders big, long, smart, crafty, relentlessly - driven = Top3(top1?) Edge Pass Rushing Duos in the NFL = known as the Insanely Relentless and Dominating MaddMaxx Crosby and Resurgence back to Dominating Chandler Jones, giving them breathers and keeping them fresh for mid to late way through the 4th quarters when it's time for the Raiders to bombard, torment, thump, pummel, punish and bury opposing QBs and their offenses under an avalanche of hopelessness from being harassed into throwing the ball away or up for grabs with the Raiders coming down with it, batting down passes, strip-sacked, interceptioned and flat-out shutdown in the most important parts of games, resulting in the Raiders Offense and Defense scoring touchdowns, piling on more points for the Raiders to have already seized leads that are continuously added to and growing more significant, putting opponents in desperation passing mode for the Raiders Defense Elite All-Pro Game-Clinching Pass Rush to Feast making the Raiders Defensive Backfield look All-Pro by turning them into Takeaway Machines that grow in cohesiveness, confidence and consistency to make Dynamic Game-Changing Plays more and more regularly, thus, Solidifying the Raiders Defensive Identity as the Consistently Dominant and Relentlessly Opportunistic, Big Play in the Clutch Performing Momentum Seizing and Riding Raiders Defense that always makes the crucial stops on 3rd and 4th downs throughout games and especially in critical points in games.
MaddMaxx is heart and soul of the Raiders Defense.
Now that the Raiders had finally got a Management Team and Coaching Staff with a Championship pedigree that has quickly built a phenomenal Offense and quietly put together a sneaky good group quality players with key playmakers on both sides of the ball, that makes this Raiders Defense highly underrated when considering the brilliant coaching and their level of attention to detail that the Raiders as a complete team beyond dangerous, and I'm certain that they soon prove that they are absolutely dominant!!!
Just Win Baby!!!

6 weeks into 2022-2023 nfl season and Crosby even better!
He got the spin from yannick, yannick came into camp doing it I remember thinking if Maxx can add that he would be deadly and he has
Next is Hunter Renfrow as one of the best slot threats in the game today
I wasn’t a huge fan of Crosby or anything, but after the first game I was like oh shit he’s like that
108 QB pressures in 2021 season. Top 3 all time in that category 🏴☠️
108 pressures and only 8 sacks, something isn’t adding up
i like this type of content this is good for teaching and showing what good play is like
One of the most underrated players in the public eye, keep up the great work Marcus!
Respect!!
Von miller has nice spin move for being like 250 lbs
Love these film breakdowns! Editing is great
