Excellent presentation.
I just found this recipe and made it today its really good my wife say it taste like the local Indian restaurant rice. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Was a chef for a long time, but always like to have a curry night at least once a week. The pilau rice was superb. I used long grain aged basmati (500g as I have to cook for friends as well !!) and 750ml water. Brought it to a boil, reduced the heat to Med/low and sealed. Within 10-12 mins it was just like yours, light, fluffy, aromatic. I like to cook garlic and oil separate for my own take on a garlic pilau. Half of my freezer is taken up with purées, base gravy, cooked chicken, home-made samosas and bhaji's. A lot of work and prep goes into the final dishes, but if you want BIR at its best it's definitely worth the effort. Great recipe, nice work.
Thank you it sounds like you have it all planned 😀 👍

Thank you really glad you enjoyed it 😊
I found this recipe to delicious 🤍
I could probably/probably not, live on pilau rice
😋😋👌👌👌👌
Thank you 😊
Looks really good. I agree with you that rice is easy but I know so many people who have a problem cooking it.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get pilau rice quite as I would like it so tried a different recipe today. Their video looked fine, although the spices didn't sound right to me. It tasted way off as I had sort of suspected hence me looking and finding your recipe. Your ingredients look much more authentic for a BIR style recipe. I'll be giving it a go tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.
Hi did you try making the rice how did it go? 😋
Don’t normally cook rice it’s just a nightmare but I followed this today and wow it was spot on many thanks
That's great glad it went well 👍
This looks amazing , which basmati rice do you use?
Hi its tilda basmati
You make me DRIBBLE. my mouth is watering and I am moist now to eat all that you feed me. Thank you thank you iam very excited now and happy to eat all your recipe WELL DONE. you have cookbook in shop to buy?
Hi thank you I'm glad you are enjoying the recipes 🙂 but unfortunately I don't have a cook book but maybe in the future.
I’m going to cook this for my man this weekend
That's great he will love it. Thank you 😊
Hi Johnny, I’ve been to your restaurant several times!
Can you please do a video on how to make the paneer fusion from the menu?
I have moved away so unable to visit as frequently and have not been able to find anything similar!
Thank you.
You haven't found it because we invented it 😀 👍
It is perfect, give you a hint for the saffron, you should crush it fine and add few ice cubes to it and it gives the best color.
Never tried it that way but will definitely give it a go 🙂
This looks amazing.. im rubbish at cooking rice but gonna give this recipe a go.. is there a lower fat alternative? Or is it nessecary to have the ghee and oil to that amount ?
You don't have to use ghee it just gives the rice a nice flavour and smell.
Hi, have tried several of your recipes and are very pleased with the results..delicious thank you. I am unfortunately gluten intolerant, do you have a recipe for gluten free naan bread. I have tried a coupe of recipes found on google, but so far they are very disappointing. Many thanks.
Hi glutenfree naans are really tricky, we tried some in our restaurant but unfortunately the results aren't the same. I will let you know if I even get it right 😀👍 im glad you have enjoyed the other recipes. Thank you
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 Thank you for your reply. Yes..as stated we have tried several different recipes. But they taste and look nothing like a naan.
Great channel. Is it 6 tbsp Ghee if not using vegetable oil?
Hi I would probably use 4/5 spoons. Thank you
Hi a very quick question
Do you crack open the cardamon pods to release more flavout ?
Best Regards
Yes you can I tend to bruise the cardamon. Thank you 😊
This looks amazing bro, I’m not great at cooking rice but defo Gana give this a go😀
Thank you
Sir could you please give some quick recipes for ifthar, Ramadhan is close.thanks
Yes in sha Allah I will do some soon. I have one already on my channel which is the pasta chaat. Thank you 😊
Thanks for this- My rice became little brown but yours stayed white- any particular reason? I used low fat butter instaed of Ghee!
Hi yes that could be the reason 🙂 also could do with the brand of rice you used.
when i get pillau from the takeaway theres no onion in it or other bits. do they use pwdered? or maybe a SHAN rice spice mix?
Hi some of them do use it but probably just a little or chopped in small bits. Thank you 😊
Just that it looked quite white and fluffy already. Is that after soaking for half hour and washing?
Hi that is correct 👌
😂😂❤
Was the rice par boiled beforehand? Looks like it was?
Hi the rice wasn't boiled from before. Thank you 😊
Is it best to use black or green cardamoms?
Hi I prefer using green cardamon but you can use the black the green ones are more fragrant. Thank you 😊
Can you give water measurement in ml?
Hi different countries have different measurements in cup sizes but to make it easier if you use your 2 cups of rice then it will be double the amount of water in the same cup. Thank you 😊
Do you wash the rice first?
Hi yes you need to atleast twice to get rid of the starch. Thanks
Do they use long grain in restaurants not basmati , why is that?
Toomeric?
Turmeric gives it nice colour
But how do you make it in 1 minute for customers in a takeaway?
I wouldn't say 1 minute 🙂 we have large rice cookers that keep them at a temperature and when we start running out we make more.
@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 so you fry it the day before?
Rice:Water. One cup rice to "one and a half to two cups water". Huh? That's a huge difference. Checking after 12 minutes will reveal dramatically different degrees of doneness. Other than that, great video :-)
Was looking forward to this instruction but your subtitles don’t give enough information. When you put the rice in, I have no idea what has been done to it before you added it to the pot, because I am deaf so have no volume. Please make your subtitles fully inclusive. Thank you.
Great vid. Quick question , u said for long grain rice use one cup and one and half cups of water , but in the vide the text popped up saying 4 cups of water.
What one did u actually do :) just a bit confused
Merry christmas and new year
Hi the video pop up says that because I used about two cups of rice thats y I put in four cups of water. If you use one cup of rice then you need about one to one and half cups of water should do it. Have a great Xmas and happy new year 🎉 😀
Ghee contains high concentrations of monounsaturated Omega-3s so it's not an unhealthy component.
Ghee is better for you than vegetable oil.
Don't mix measurements. It's a recipe for failure. Metric is best.
Sorry to correct your pronunciation but it is not " pillow" rice but " pilauu " rice. Asians do not say "pillow" rice. I found that very off putting. Also your rice is far too light coloured as you did not brown the onions enough.
Why do you invoke a deity when cooking?
Nice
Love this recipe
Thank you
Nice
