My head slanting watching sideways..... That interesting.... Didn't even recognize it until my sis point it out.....😊😊💚💚💚 It's absolutely beautiful craftsmanship....♥️♥️♥️🙏
Japan could easily be my favorite place on earth for material traditions and for politeness. If we could get them to care about the elderly and the poor, it would be paradise. Geez. Always something. I guess Bhutan will be a contender one day.
Hi! I try to learn about ceramics, in my workshop, recently established. Tell me, please, do your objects have a single firing? Did you color them with engobes or ceramic colors? What did you sprinkle on them before putting them in the frosting? Thank you very much for your movie! Is awesome!
Hi! I will answer the question. 1. Like my company, ceramics are basically fired twice. In some cases, it may be fired three times. 2. Painting is ceramic color only. 3. That is just air. Blow away unnecessary powder with an air compressor.I hope that studying ceramics will be successful.
Well crafted and beautiful it is bad luck that we are able to see the videos but not able to buy them in India let us all viewers know where it is available in Japan and what price thanks god bless
Can anyone tell me if this is the style of one individual Potter, or is it a group of Potters working towards one Style? I know that the name tobeyaki stands for a certain type of pottery but I was wondering if this is one individual interpretation of that? Is there any way to contact this pottery? Any way to purchase some of their Wares if you are out of country?
The first question is the latter. "Tobeyaki" is one of about 30 representative ceramic production areas in Japan. Tobeyaki is an area that produces porcelain and has about 100 workshops. “Umenose” is the name of the workshop, and there are several ceramic artists. The pottery workshop is called “Kamamoto” in Japanese, and the style and scale differ. Umenose tableware cannot be bought overseas, but the official online shop is currently being renewed and shipping to overseas is also planned. After renewal, we will announce on UA-cam video.
Dear Sir, I recently watch a video you made (ua-cam.com/video/h52ed4Hjk2w/v-deo.html) and found it very interesting. Indeed I am a french potter. I'm curious as to what are the tools you used to measure like the one you used in the center of the teapot. Maybe you could recommend me a shop where I could buy some of these tools. Best regards, Véronique FRANCE
thank you very much. The tool used for measurement is called “dragonfly” because of its similar form. We procure bamboo as a material and make it by ourselves. There are various reasons for using bamboo, but it has the advantage of being water resistant and easy to process. Of course, the finished product is sold in Japan, but it is not easy to use. So, adjust the tools yourself so that they are easy to use. In the future, we will share how to make tools on UA-cam, so please have a look.
