So, this is just my opinion based on this dlc. Feel free to read. I feel like the sole purpose of this DLC is to only show how Heihachi is back in Tekken 8. Well, surely some of you will not agree, well I can't agree more. I know this took place while Jin and Kazuya fight until the meteorite thingy. For me, I feel like the purpose of showing the Tekken Monk only for Heihachi to destroy the whole thing is kinda of a waste. Please be noted that the teaser is heavily rely on the Tekken Monk and Heihachi, hence why I feel a little off with how easily Heihachi destroyed the Tekken Monk. It could have more potential, but who knows in future dlc? There will be more content about it. Next, i feel like Heihachi becoming evil again is just getting repetitive. The way he smashed the meteorite and instantly turned evil despite defeating his own shadow, somehow through memories, he still is Heihachi. All of these tekken Monk rituals gone to waste. I kinda like the idea of good Heihachi, but yeah, Harada, right?🤷♂️ I'm not mad that he's back but I kinda wish Heihachi stay dead in T7 for good so we can progress with Jin and Kazuya story. You can say that Reina need Heihachi to help her with the Devil Gene, but I'm not seeing the story progress any further other than grandfather vs. father vs. son. Regardless of that, I'm still loving the dark awakened storyline a lot and can't wait to see what Harada and Murray will present us soon.

We are back to the same exact bullshit again. This franchise hasn't moved an inch since Tekken 4. This DLC was basically 1 hour of Harada laughing at all of us who still care a little about Tekken's story. He threw Tekken 7 and 8's stories into a trash can with this decision. Just when I thought we were finally moving on to something new and interesting with the Kazama family (Jin, Kazuya and Jun) we're back to the same old tired plot.

It takes a special kind of writer to invalidate the entire storyline of the previous game. This was the perfect point to go somewhere new with the story. Jin and Kazuya's Devil Gene is gone, Jin's accepted himself and moved on, Kazuya's off recovering with Jun, Heihachi lost his memory and living peacefully with the monks, and Reina's planning god know's what. Absolute perfect jumping off point to either let some other characters take the reigns of the story or explore other sides of the three main cast but NAH, it's all gonna devolve back into these three dumbassess beating the shit out of each other for 8 more goddamn games. Death means nothing in fighting games. What's next? Zafina's still alive? There was a trap door under Claudio and he's perfectly fine?
