Hey everyone, welcome back. I'm sorry about the upload schedule. I have a lot of footage and cases I'm covering and will be uploading them as I get a decent wifi access.
Today's video we talk about a bear getting into a car campers car, my hikes and investigation of a missing hiker that went missing in the Desolation Wilderness, California along the PCT/ Tahoe rim trail. I also talk about the fire damage from last year and offer hikers some advice on areas to avoid.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Huang's Family 🙏🙏
    Thank you for watching🙏🤗

One of my most memorable experiences this year in the woods was at our a mild in on a trail was an 80ish yr old man sitting quietly in the weeds on a small chair off the trail birdwatching, my dog broke the ice and he just started storytelling I sat down my dog jumped in his lap and he proceeded to tell me the simple joys of birdwatching and how my local National Forest was once Farm land until the 1930’s. Was just wholesome and educational learning about the forest I spend much of my time in. I

I live 25 minutes from where the PCT crosses 50. My stomping ground. Hiked and backpacked all along the PCT. One time a forest fire started and we stopped and stayed on a huge granite slab to be safe, as we had no service for information regarding details about the fire. As we packed out the last 5 miles, we were stepping over fire hoses and passing fire fighters in action. Very scary and now I carry a fire blanket.

Dearest Bryan, you are a blessing to everyone you meet. I was a bit concerned as I hadn't seen a video from you. I am so touched by your gesture to leave an angel in memory of those lost out on trails. Life is so fragile and tragedy can strike anyone of us at a second's notice. Human beings are so stupid in choices they make such as yelling at the bear or being careless about fire in the wilderness. I just wonder how our species can survive with idiots running amok. Anyway I love your adventure and the characters you are meeting. You help the families of the lost just by remembering their loved one. Please be safe, you are rare and you are so special. God Bless.

And yes, the angels are such a beautiful honor for those poor people who've gone missing or worse and I'm sure their surviving loved ones are so touched by Bryan's thoughtfulness. We wish Bryan the very best!😊💓🌺

Stay safe and have the best time . I’m excited to see all of your fourth coming videos of your travels. By the way, our Florida black bears frequently get into unlocked cars . It usually shreds the inside upholstery . Sometimes the bears can even get themselves out again but not always. The Ocala National Forest is the largest National park east of the Rockies . Lots of folk live there just outside and sometimes inside the park.

I majored in foresty in college and am a trained wildfire fighter. That area will come back, better and more beautiful than before. Promise. I know it's destructive and looks bad right now, but this is how the land is regenerated. Be it by humans or lightening or done on purpose when we back burn. IF THEY'D actually clear the loose brush and debris, it would be so easy for a fire to start. Unfortunately, if a person wants to start a fire, they will. Still yet, it's sad to see, because I also minored in Wildlife Conservation. So I know many animals lost their homes and lives. Every animal in nature, is needed to complete the habitat and life cycles or all species from plants and animals to the fish and water fowl and water life. For a black bear, ya..I'd have just opened a door for the bear lol. Unfortunately ppl can be stupid. While black bears are generally "safe" they've chased cyclists, and can be very curious, not to mention we are encroaching into their habitat, but also people feed them, or have no idea how to deal with a bear when they come into contact with them. Unfortunately once a bear has human contact, if it attacks anyone, the bear pays the ultimate price. Even if the person survives, is a sow with cubs. Then the cubs pay the price. It's all very sad. I tend to feel more for the animals because we humans no better and should make our presence known, should be prepared and know how to deal with the various wildlife, while the animal is just doing what it's always done. Still any loss of life is horrific. THANKS YOU for the vid. I love it. I have got to get out in nature. I'm caring for my terminally ill husband, so I only get to the local trails for a couple of hrs at most. Yet, it's refreshing and does me good. Recharges me. So do your vids.

Bears are not the only critter that can open car doors. My dad loved camping. The food was always put in coolers then put in the SUV. One morning we found the coolers had been opened but the culprits were long gone but they had been kind enough to leave nasal dribble and little paw prints. Raccoons some how had been able to reach the door handles and open the Blazer's doors.

Your videos are great, I really appreciate your kind spirit and compassion for people as well as quality of investigation.
I've hiked and camped all over Desolation, including these spots. After solo hiking all throughout this area I've always felt pretty safe other than the obvious fear battles at night in the dark. Oddly, I haven't seen and bears while out there and thankfully no cats either.
Funny story: I live in Tahoe, had a bear get into my neighbor's truck & due to it being on a slope the door closed behind it. We woke up to the bear thrashing around in the truck, freaking out. The sheriff came and thought it would be a good idea to shoot it with rubber bullets as the window was down about 5"...I guess to encourage it to go out of the window as it eventually broke. The bear then bled, peed and pooped all over the truck while destroying everything. Finally the bear accidentally somehow hit the door handle and the door opened on the downslope so he bailed. The interior needed to be completely restored.

There’s another missing man from Ice House Lake. Not far from Lake Aloha. He was hiking and there’s been no sign of him. He got separated from friends. Nothing has been found, including his huge hiking stick or phone. Not very much information has been reported.

It was interesting sharing a little of your trip and those you met along the way.
One of my favourite artists, Kate Bush, wrote a song about Lake Tahoe and a ghost story which is a real ghost story about Snow Lake I believe. The artist has suddenly become popular in the USA due to Stranger Things but she has always been popular in sales in the UK although quite reclusive.
Anyway, an interesting video. The little angels you make seem a very caring thing to do. I lot of videos about true crime etc seem exploitative for views but you are doing something much more positive.

Yes, the trees and bushes show signs of fire but, why not the power line poles?

We have many people here in El Dorado County that disappear under strange circumstances. Do not hike a lone and carry a Personal Locating Beam.
