My dad was an undercover DEA agent, he’d go undercover in HongKong, Istanbul, etc. Got some of the top guys in those locations for heroin.
He used to say (in the theaters). “You think that’s acting? Acting is when your life depends on it.”

Exactly right what he said at the end, When you're gone nobody cares you are soon forgotten by the organisation and people that you worked with. Only a few are true friends and stay in touch, we are all small cogs in a big wheel that keeps turning. #30yrs a Cop

He wanted too badly to become a badass gangster hells angel and couldn't separate being a cop from a club member. Also he perpetuated the criminal element within the club by becoming a faux hitman/drug runner or whatever. Not to mention, how many judges you think 81 has on the payroll?

I read Jays book some years ago and really enjoyed it. It’s so messed up what the ATF did to him.

My Father was a constable with the R.C.M.P. For 30 years the vast majority of that was U.C. He busted drug dealers, stayed in serial killer jail cells, impersonated mob bosses, and anything and everything the Force asked him to do. What Jay has to say here is verbatim to my Dads experience and ours as his children. I once considered joining a police force and after discussions with my Dad I realized that I had “been” a cop for most of my life already. If anyone who is interested in doing this type of work think about it seriously...you will bring it home...your wife/husband and your children will not be “normal” people... some of it bad a lot of it good but all directly tied to the life of law enforcement non the less and without the choice of putting on the uniform.

    When I left Jim's
    In mid '95
One of the last things he said to me
    It Riddles me
    Too Much
    He had homes
    A big business
Wife n kids and his eldest was showing me an ultrasound of supposedly his first grandchild
That morning I had drove to work with
    KLOS's Frank Songtag
    Playing Hendrix's
    Crosstown Traffic
I had a shirt on that had tire tracks across the back of it
Had already been years of tire tracks
    And had felt that Tread
Before I had even heard Jim's story
It had me in a shitty place already
    Fighting for my welfare
    No Joke
It just kept getting meaner every year
    When you are the Son
    Lots of players
Especially when they think you're some shallow don't know
    Character
    Been under a longtime
    Told Jesse James years ago
It felt like I was in a decompression chamber
Then it put me down for almost another
    Ate years now
    There's Major Damage
    Been done over here.

I don't think people have any idea how close men who are cops and men that are criminals are alike. I've walked a dangerous road in my life, praise God for saving and protecting me, but I know the ride this man took. As who I was, some of the people closest to me were officers of the law, in one fashion or another. It's a life of making sire your fit, making sure you guard your tongue, making sure your circle in filled with people who you can respect during and after you nake a move.
Cops are thrill seekers, criminals are thrill seekers. I'm not talking your pick pockets or druggie, I mean career criminals , ones who play by rules and codes, rules even most police respect. Never mess with civilians, never hurt women or children , and if someone breaks these rules, you handle what the police can not. Many criminals want their streets safe, the community safe, especially children and women, both police and criminals wake up in the morning, pray their family will be safe, strap up and walk out never knowing if they'll go home. Real criminals and real police have no personal issues with each other, it's a job, they even have a level of respect for each other, as long as the rules are played correctly.
I used to have police walk up to me and tell me you know I'm going to get you sooner or later, I'd laugh and say we'll see. That would be that, they would talk to me, even come to me when there was issues they couldn't handle that broke the rules, how do you think criminals would find out about rapists , rats, and child abusers, they don't guess who and where those men are, they are told. In the end, both sets want quiet and safe streets, both want to know their families are safe , criminals may go after each other, but never after citizens, that brings heat and that makes everyone's life hell, you can't sell things that fell of trucks, you can't run your games, or collect debts when there is heat on the streets because some idiot hurt a civilian, and you can't have loud mouth rats around either, because 8 times out of 10, you've worked with information given to you by a cop at some point, so rats bring everyone down.
They always get you sooner or later. That's a fact 💯, but when that happens , you dont get mad at them, you take the arrest act with class, and fight the case or take your plea and do your time. When they got me, no cuffs, they let me smoke, make my calls, even allowed my wife and kids to come see me before I went in, most cops are class acts, will they cheat at times yup , but I'm not mad, it's a game , play by the rules, not the rules as a citizen, but street rules, keep your trap shut, be a man, and treat others properly , and even in that game, other players like cops have their days to win, I mean I won for a very very long time, popped many bottles, had my fun, made my money, but sooner or later you lose and they get to celebrate.
I still don't see how this guy got in though. They made mistakes to allow that to happen, they broke the rules, back ground checks, someone should know you and your family, wife kids parents, they failed and got sweet talked into letting a rat in, so they had to pay for that mistake. As much as I respect the brotherhood of the hells angels, they slipped with this one, broke their own rules.

The word "undercover" is kinda scary in itself. Imagine those who operated in the former USSR or communist Eastern Europe during the Cold War or infiltrating a drug cartel. You have thoughts of your family and friends, your teammates and your focus on the mission.
