The supreme court immunity decision does not shield president Trump from criminal prosecution from election related offenses committed during 2020 presidential election and thereafter.

Yeah, that video of him running and even pulling out the (fake) gun is just a real "he brought this upon himself" situation. The only out that the family has on the matter is when the cop shot him. EVERYTHING else though is a case closed on the kid. If authorities can prove he did something stupid while he was downed (e.g. tried to pull the fake gun yet again), that kid was essentially a suicide by cop situation. If the judge determines that some or most of a government official's actions are outside the scope of his duties and in violation of clearly established statutes, laws, precedents then the government official's actions are not immune from prosecution and will go to trial based on those facts. The supreme court immunity decision does not shield president Trump from criminal prosecution from election related offenses committed during 2020 presidential election and thereafter.

I mean the shooting was tragic but you have what most people would assume to be a real gun, you're out late at night, and you ran the the police. The first and third reasons alone would be enough that even if convicted, they won't serve much time. I don't ever understand why anyone would run from the police and I'm a minority who would be walking down to the gas station in the hood at 3am to get a fountain drink. Education needs to be better for kids growing up, if you didn't do anything wrong, why run.
