      Oof, these are nice. Been really going full no-spin training lately, kinda flip-flopped between which I prefer, the Excaliburs or the Vengeance 4mm. But it becomes ever more apparent that the rounded grip of the Vengeance makes it feel more natural for no-spin than a straight grip, of course the Excaliburs are then way easier for full spin than the Vengeance 4mm. I have a set of Stingers on the way, really curious to see what they're like to throw compared to the others. By the way, are you going to do a video on the those new Ace Jet knight's daggers? They're for when you want to go full V for Vendetta, I guess. They look awesome

    Amazing blades. I'd like to see each blade thrown and tested at or through some ballistics gel. For science of course. Stay strong stay true!

    Adem I actually had to get ahold of Wulflund and get them to do a custom order on the Shurikens. I went 1 inch longer because they are basically a hybrid. Which they were more than willing to do. Such a great company and the steel they use is just perfect never change that

    I made 6 arrows years ago from a leaf spring they was 7 or 8mm thick steel, ended up swapping them for a Weihrauch 77 air rifle, these videos are great and l may make again.

    Re. the gladiators: the knob in the milddle is a design flaw. Suppose you want to throw from 6m with half a rotation. The knife will have to be fairly deep in your hand and the knob will be in the way.

  • @muskett4108
    @muskett4108 3 роки тому +5

    The 6mm Vengeance would be perfect for ladies and boys, or anyone that doesn't need the heft of 8mm. In truth 8mm can be a bit much most of the time. 6mm is plenty for finger control and so much better than say 4mm, or the pretty horrid cheapo 3mm thin stuff out there.
    Having both thicknesses and weights is a positive step.
    The other designs are for the fun of it all. Better to have three of one design and master those than loads of designs examples. Master one and anything after is so muh easier. The Vengeances are a great design, and equals to Arrows. Easier to lean with, heck they make me look good.
    Lastly, always best to invest in quality, and these have that in heaps. (Or you end up with a cheapo scrap yard, and end up buying the quality anyhow).

      Thank you brother :)

    • @winstongludovatz111
      @winstongludovatz111 3 роки тому

      I agree. At 8mm you are talking 300g+ weight. I have a 270g knife and its already a little at the heavy end. You don't necessarily get more kinetic energy out of a heavy knife, recall kinetic energy = mv², the volecity is more important than the mass, e.g. rifle bullets versus pistol (a 45 bullet is much heavier than a 223 rifle bullet). I think the sweet spot is at 240g - 250g, i.e the classic 6mm arrow, a design that is almost impossible to improve upon.

    • @muskett4108
      @muskett4108 3 роки тому +1

      @@winstongludovatz111 At normal 5 or 6m ranges then most blades can be given enough "zip' to reach the target. Even pretty light weight throwing things. At longer range some additional weight does help the carry.
      All especially true with half and no spin where velocity matters to get true straight flight. However, the heavier knives help with momentum at extended ranges, though need to be given a lot of power. Not so good for young, women, or beginners.
      Good technique helps, and really counts at the longer ranges as raw "zip" velocity is tailing off fast.
      I think there is a place for good design in 4, 6, and 8mm. All adds to the complexity of the sport.

    What kind of steel are your throwing knives? I sharpened a bunch of scrap steel and it seems to work really well 😁👍. I’m not a rich man so I can’t afford a few hundred dollars for throwing knives. Last time I spent that much was on a PSE compound bow. Great video 👍
