Seems like an interesting sound design tool.......Definitely not a poor mans soothe, but could be just the tool someone needs for something to gel just right.
I'm having Preponderant introduce a stereo disbalance to an otherwise pretty centered audio material. Could you add a "stereo lock" control that'd make sure L and R channel are processed identically?
Interesting plugin Chris, very niche but interesting. It'd be crazy if this could be modeled in a manner to accentuate / balance / invert the balanced bands based upon the ear equal loudness contour to match mastering material in the most balanced / natural way. Cheers!
Hi Chris. Very interesting. Any chance this could be updated with an output gain post process so we could do level matched a/bs with the plug-in itself?
yes autogain would be a nice feature for many plugins nowadays… if its missing you could try to run something like this: www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-clms/
@@manysounds It actually "soothes" the signal by removing unwanted resonance. Tip: you can do something similar with Airwindows Focus, if you turn the "Output" slider to 0%, the "Boost" to 100% and then play with the "Focus" and "Mode" sliders! Use a spectrum analyzer like Voxengo SPAN to see what this method is doing to your signal. :D
@@FotisandStuff Yes that is correct. Fiddling with the frequencies to find your "unwanted" frequencies, and then go 100% wet, flip the phase, combine back to the original to taste. I was using BlueCat Patchwork, which I find super-useful for bringing processing chains across the pile of different DAWs I have to use professionally... which is like... nearly all of them. REALLY interesting results.
Airwinodws Plugins are always useful if you are looking for new and districtive sounds. That's what we love about them.
neat! it's kind of like a more dynamic version of 'OTT'
loved how it added breathe to the lowmids sometimes
May be used to relax busy mix in a pleasant way. Nice one.
The test track could just as well be an unfinished Nirvana song - I love the riffs.
Maybe it would benefit from an inverse dry/wet for annoying preponderant freq. reduction

I put this on a lead guitar track and found a sweet spot with the freqs. Very nice. Thanks.

Heh, this is to Gullfoss what LaTeX is to Word!
i like to say that this plugin puts the FOSS in Gullfoss
Yeah, this went over my head 😅

What if you flip the results out of phase with the source?
I tried that, and the results are awesome.
@@FotisandStuff O yesss! I think that might be very useful!
