I just received the RodeCaster Pro 2 - I also have a AKAI MPC Live, and it has audio inputs and it has a usb connection for the computer as well. Im trying to figure out if it's better to try and run my speakers to the RoadCaster or setup a separate mixer and run the speakers there and then just run an audio cable back to the Roadcaster? Im confused now - Please help

So if I have 2 mics and 2 headphones connected, they will both always monitor the same things and cannot have custom routing for each?
For example: I can monitor my friends mic, but not my own. And they, likewise, monitor my mic and not their own.
Hi! I got a question, can you recommend it for a stream / gamer recording with two mics? Is it working? I play with my son we need twos xlr mic . Or is it better to have a bidirectionnal mic? I have got a go XLR. For solo it is ok but for twos players i can t add twos mics. I will watch your videos after i have to work

The RCP2 can take up to four XLR mics. I don't know your setup but if you were using the GoXLR with one just fine, you can use the RCP2 with two+ just fine too.
Yep. Beta 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 fixed a LOT of the grievances I had.
I managed to connect both my PCs and 2 microphones and route everything I needed. I also managed to have my brother on PC1 discord (USB1) talk to my other family member on phone (BT) phone call.. it’s pretty crazy!
I just got my Rodecaster Pro 2 today and I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to set it all up with my two PCs and I cant find any videos to help. Audio is not my specialty lol Did you find any videos or did you just figure it out? I'm trying to just figure it out and I feel like I'm making things worse as I go haha Any chance you'd be willing to help me out?

No cloud lifter it's not very good for noise floor

What would you recommend for gaming/ discord user this or the goxlr?
If a GoXLR can do everything you want, then grab that. If you need more features of the RCP2, then get the RCP2.
Did you notice the output routing in 1.0.7?

Stan... I have been having RCP II audio problems. My workflow consists of an Apple M1 Mac Max connected to the RCP II USBC primary using the Rode provided cable. iPhoneXII connected to the RCP II USBC secondary port via an SC19 cable. iPadProX connected to the RCP II via Bluetooth. iPhoneXII and iPadProX work great. However, the connection from the M1 Mac to the RCP II is flakey. When everything is connected and powered up, the audio connection between the RCP II and M1 Mac work perfectly initially. Then within 2-10 minutes the audio connection fails between the M1 Mac Max/RCP II. Looks like RCP II Main Stereo and Chat drivers crash which causes the audio connection between the M1 Mac and RCP II to break. If you look at the Sound Drop Down context menu on the M1 Mac, both the RCP II main stereo and chat context menu items are greyed out and, eventually, they just disappear. At this point, I have no audio connection between the RCP II and the M1 Mac Max. No way to recover this broken connection short of a power on reset of the RCP II. I am running the latest firmware (1.0.6 beta) on the RCP II as well as Rode Central 2.0.3 on the M1 Mac Max. These updates have not fixed this specific problem. I have provided a boatload of data/doc to Rode TS on the bug/error but they cannot recreate the problem. Strange, that just before the audio connection failure, I hear a crackling noise in my headsets and, at that point, the audio connection fails. No way to recover short of a POR on the RCP II. I have an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO in the mix as well as a BMD HyperDeck Pro Plus, StreamDeck XL and all the other typical gear that streamers use in their workflows. All my gear works perfectly with the M1 Mac Max except the RCP II. I think they released the RCP II prematurely without thoroughly testing the firmware as you allude to in your YT videos. I am a SE with 30 years of experience in IT (Strong in Apple, VMware, MSN, and other Technologies) and have offered to help them debug this bug (selfishly for my own benefit) but they have been lax to say the least in this suggestion for help. With that said, I have had to take the RCP II out of my workflow since everything pertaining to "audio" centers around the M1 Mac Max/RCP II connection and, if I can't rely on this connection, then I have circumvent to another audio solution until they fix this bug. When the RCP II is working, it works perfectly in current workflow. But when this bug rears it's ugly head, then there is now way I can use the RCP II in my workflow. I know Rode is working hard to fix the firmware issues, but I think they just released the RCP II prematurely without thoroughly testing the firmware. Thought I would comment on your YT video as a heads up that there are still a few of us out there suffering while Rode sorts out their firmware errors. So, it's not perfect yet based on the current state of my workflow. If you have any influence with Rode, please pass this information on to them. Thank you for keeping us up to date on the RCP II. I have not seen the issue you’re having and but maybe the closest thing I’ve seen is after shutting down the PC on next reboot the pc will not detect the rcp2 if I have left it on all night. I have to power cycle the rcp2 for it to reinitialize the usb connection. Usually I just power off the unit at night and turn it on with my PC in the mornings. Taking a blind stab but your issue could possibly be isolated to a M1 USB / TB4 implementation more than anything. I have not tested extensively with my M1 MBP but if I’ll keep an eye out for for any issues with that machine. Have you tried connecting to a PC?
@@SuprUsrStan Don't own a PC or run a Windows 11 Client physically or virtually. Totally Apple (M1 Mac Max, Macbook Pro 2017, iPhoneXII and iPadPro) on my desk with sprinkles of VMware Hypervisors, Microsoft Virtual Servers, BlackMagic ATEM Mini Extremem/HyperDeck Pro Plus and other HW/SW technologies using SuperMicro SYS-6019P Servers, Ubiquiti (1GB Routers and Switches) , Mikrotik 10GB CRS309 Switches, QNAP 879/432 SANs, IOT Hubs (Philips Hue, SmartThings, MyQ, Bond), CloudPlate Environmental Control, CyberPower UPS units and a 42U StarTech Rack. It is an extensive workflow. The RCP II and M1 Mac sit in the center of the workflow, so getting the RCP II bug fixed is a priority for me right now.

I’m actually not sure the exact instructions for doing it but I managed to go back similar to activating it. Just tapping the screen on the device info screen until the beta goes away. Then restart your device.

I have this update and i dont have the same options, mine has them as volume options instead. Its really frustraiting me as because this the sole reason why purchased rcp2.
When I shutdown the RCP2, the LCD remains on with Rode logo on it. Is this normal ?
For streamer, not say 4-person podcast. GoXLR or RODE caster Pro 2 (overkill?), price is not an issue, just seems like there are streamers? focused features on the GoXLR even when its 4 years old. Deciding between these two.
I would lean towards the Go XLR for ease of use. Just keep in mind I don't think the headphone out is that great for high impedance headphones. I suspect the RCP2 may have better headphone outs. I use to own the Go XLR mini and that was one of my main reasons for selling it as well as wanting an extra XLR input.
Hey :) thanks for the video! We wanted to use it in the livestream with speakers, but just can't get rid of the feedback from the mics. (Rode mics) Also, you can hear our voice in the speakers, which we don't want. Do you have a suggestion for a solution? Is there a setting that we are overlooking? We had a Behringer mixer before, there were no problems. Thank you and best regards
Streamer need. 100% need to mute to stream while still monitoring in head set (for discord for example)
