Fishing for Huge Cutthroat Trout | Catch and Cook

Join us as we fish for some huge cutthroat trout!! Pyramid lake ( Nevada ) is known for having some of the largest Cutthroat Trout in the world. The story of the Lahontan cutthroat is one of survival, against all odds. They are the largest of the cutthroat species. Naturalist Steve Raymond called them “the last survivors of an ancient race of super trout.” The records, stories, and photos support the idea that these were indeed the world’s largest true trout. The world record was landed at Pyramid Lake in 1925 at 41 pounds. a replica of that fish is still on display at Crosby Lodge. There were even unsupported claims of fish in the 50- to 60-pound range. These are trout so big they don’t look real-they look like obese caricatures. Enjoy!

Hey George I enjoy watching your channel content. I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion. You might want to add "Solo Camping" in your camping videos title. I follow several solo camping videos but your channel doesn't come up because solo camping is not in the title. Of course this is just a suggestion. I happen to find your channel do to this trip with Micah on "Until Journeys End". You have so many camping videos that im catching up on and enjoying. I look forward to more. Keep the title suggestion in mind. It may help more viewers find your channel.
