Just started collecting, only pulling 7 series right now-really loving the reading and the monthly wait for new issues. But every time I watch one of these videos, I get hit with collector anxiety and start thinking, ‘Maybe I should just go all digital like the 30 I’m already reading and throw the comic cash into a Roth IRA.’ Future me might appreciate that more than a stack of variants. 😂😂 Best of luck with the sell-off! May your longboxes find good homes!
Back in 2009-12 era there was an older comic shop owner who has closed down but had a storage space he was able to setup weekend sales at. Must have greased the right palms, anyway he'd charge 25 cents a book for modern, at the time anything 80's on up. He did "fill a long box for 45" and sometimes even 35, I came up so hard on those sales, he didnt care about valiant and at that time it was before vei relaunched em n it was a total cult following base that kept the value of the low print keys up, made such a killing n put my own collection together as well. Then all the wolvies n spiderman & all that was just a crazy bonus, hella runs. This kinda reminds me of what he had goin on, damn thats alotta books! 😅
@@funnybookfamily lets say that you read one comic in 20 minutes then it means that you read 3 comics per hour and if you would spend 10 hours a day Reading comics then you would be done in about 11 years.
I’ve made numerous large purchases over the past 4 and 1/2 years. When I buy collections from private individuals, I look more thoroughly through them. When buying overstock from comic shops, you’re buying dozens of boxes at a time. Only once was I allowed to do this by purposefully filling boxes. Most of the time it’s blind buys because you’re getting so much at once. My largest single purchase was 350 long boxes from one shop. The most I ever bought from a private collector was 100 long boxes.

You can still read a damaged book
How long would it take me to read 120,000 comics?

Do you sell just on eBay? If someone wanted to buy long boxes of comics from you how can I do that.
Really interesting. Amazing what you have accumulated. Did you buy most of this stuff without ever looking in the boxes? How many years did it take?

Is your eBay store name the same as your UA-cam channel name?
