- To make pond water green i.e. to produce natural food or plankton in pond water, fish farmers adopt various methods. In today's video I will discuss one such method. The method by which you can prepare enough natural food in the pond very easily and in a very short time. Three ingredients are needed in the juice to make phytoplankton or green plant particles and zooplankton or animal particles. For example - Mustard oil cake, DAP fertilizer and Urea fertilizer. In this case we have to take 150gram of mustard oiled cake per decimal and soak them for five days. Then 100gram of DAP fertilizer and 100gram of urea fertilizer per decimal should be mixed well in water and sprinkled through mustard oil cake. After about two to three hours, the entire solution should be sprinkled around the pond. But one thing must be kept in mind that three to four days before giving this solution 150gram to 200gram per decimal of lime should be applied to the pond. If you can make the solution like this and sprinkle it around the pond, it will make a very nice natural food in the pond. Which is able to meet 40 percent of fish food needs. Thank You .

Why do not you add fresh cow dung in this mixture ?.Cow dung is easily available and not expensive as compared to mustard oil cake.
Lots of process is there to develop phytoplankton in fish pond . I just uploaded one of them . Use of cow dung in hot weather may create gas in the pond .
