I haven't watched the show, so all I really know about it is from HVB and Disparu, but it seems like Director X actally wanted to make John Prince a likeable villain, and forgot that they are usually as, if not more, popular than the hero.
Why do I have a feeling that this show is going to end with the lawyer and Robyn tag teaming to find some irrefutable evidence that Prince actually did some B.S crime that they suddenly can accuse and convict him for on the spot, thus saving the day so that Robyn can forgive and shack up with her lawyer.

Here’s a suggestion, you, Drinker and Mauler, etc. should do a film review of 1988’s Die Hard for the Christmas season. That film is a perfect example of, 1. How Hollywood has been diverse for decades. Die Hard is as, if not more diverse than any film of the last 5 years. 2. How if a film & characters are really well written, you don’t even notice the diversity and how absolutely NO ONE has a problem with it, but maybe ACTUAL racists, which are so few, that I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Die Hard, do you? 3. Modern Filmmakers don’t care about diversity as much as they care about “being noticed for diversity”, which leads to intentional pandering & divisiveness. Thanks!

As a professional social worker for my entire career (13 years), I've seen the job go from something good to how this show depicts. The field is filled with useless dipshits who have secret conversations with kids about their sexuality behind their parent's backs. You want to find people who spend time smelling their own farts, look for social workers.
Former youth mentor here: can confirm. Social workers are more interested in _keeping_ their jobs than in _doing_ them. While I've never witnessed "secret conversations about sexuality" I can tell you that social workers are more interested in caring for the women than the kids--up to and including denying, excusing, rationalizing and blame-shifting for women's poor choices and open misconduct.
I think Az is right, this show is probably not going to get many more episodes. It is Naomi+Batwamman., all over again with a splodge of Gothan nights.

Her emotional assertions have the same weight as physical evidence against her. In the end, "in the best interest of the children" usually involves removing and punishing the man, but remanding the woman to some care agency or counseling program while the abused or neglected children remain in her care.
The appointed villian in this story is kind, polite, lawful, loves his son, uses money to remove corruption and making livelyhood better. He even wanted to pay for others to live in better places and never uses his money to hurt others. What a great man.
His only crime was the cringy dad dancing at the end of ep 7 which seems to have been filmed without the actual backing track for the actor to match up to 😅

I can't remember if it was you or Disparu that mentioned this....but a realistic outcome on one of the previous episodes when John went to Robyns mom and offered her a million to leave, is after she rejected the offer, he went to each of the tenants in that building and provided them a huge sum of money to leave (doesn't even have to be anywhere near a million). Hard to advocate for a 'community' when most of that 'community' took a huge sum of money and left.
