For VR the height calibration was pretty cool in Phasmaphobia. The argue about who was taller, but auto height proved who was. Then years later we met in person and talked about that time in VR.
Bunbun offers herself as Tribute. Height calibration on standing is hosed right now. Set it to seated even if you are standing. It wasn't as bad but ITR1 did something similar. They rotated the maps 45 degrees clockwise and swapped their positions so that they actually match the selection screen with Roberto. A small but important change I think! ...It also solidifies where I believe the "zone transition" to the next area will be. See if you or Spike can find it... Dig the ash aesthetic on the citizen remnants, fragments and phantoms, and...everything, really. Don't get me wrong, I liked the shadow blob creatures in the first, but ITR2 is really going above and beyond on giving everything a more concrete visual identity. Really leaning into the "familiar things, But Changed" vibe with fractal chairs, evil mix tapes and the like, then having the contrast with the purely "Radius-borne" creatures like phantoms. I also like the detail of how weapons get more "ashy" with reducing durabilities instead of breaking down, denoting that they aren't "wearing out" as much as losing functionality as a result of continued use in the Radius. The Radius ash is just caking on, and you're just cleaning it off. It makes it the rare instance where having to "repair" them so frequently actually makes narrative sense. I agree 100% with Spike that guns "break" wayyyy too fast in games, but given this fresh context I am oddly fine with it. Just another way that the Radius is trying to drag you down... don't let your gear be subsumed like those poor citizens. I wonder of the ones that don't return are a bug, or if it is an indication of which ones will have voice lines eventually. They don't come back so that you won't hear the dialogue repeatedly, or something... dunno. Regarding the cars, they added a lot of small details to a lot of things in this patch. The new sleeping UI is part of a larger upgrade that you can also see in the shop. Notice you have a little circle regardless of where you are pointing if you are close to it... this now works like the red pointer lines from ITR1. You can also see shop inventory info by pointing at it now. As of right now weapon condition doesn't seem to have an effect on sale price. I hope that doesn't change but we will see. I am not a fan of the loot goblin nerf at all. Items will literally just drop out of the pack... this goes for both backpack and rig. Kind of tedious. If they were going to cap us on space I would rather have a system like Ghosts of Tabor or Z.O.N.A, where the items have collision and you have to fit them together. Finally, slow your roll on the brushing! I cleaned an almost destroyed PM with no issues, but initially struggled with it as well. You have to unlearn what ITR1 taught you. Brush directly on the areas colored by the spray like you would in real life instead of fanning over it broadly. Brushing slower also actually cleans it faster. Just like in Saints and Sinners, it seems to treat some movements that are too fast as nothing at all; they do not registeras accurately so be deliberate. Also make sure you are directly contacting the colored area of the model with the brush, it's hard to tell in 2D but it didn't look like you were. The collision for this seems to be WAY more accurate than in ITR1. A reductive way to describe it is, pretend you are brushing it in real life. Cheers, stalker! ☢️
Any idea why I can’t see the Anti-Distortion Headgear in the shop? I see a dev note that says, “Anti-Distortion headset will always appear in Supply Depot according to conditions set”. - I missed the beta and just updated, I have no idea what they mean by “conditions set”. I don’t see anything in my settings. Wonder if there is something I have to do or if this is a bug for me. Any help would be appreciated!
@@krystalb4336 They added a new top priority mission that introduces you to the distortion gear with a prototype version. I haven't done a fresh run yet, so I'm not sure where it appears in the sequence. If you're past that point then it should be in there. I'll have to mess with that later. 🤔 A while back I was saying to someone that I hope they bring back the distortion anomalies, but this was not what I was expecting... 😂 Careful what you wish for!
Things look a little sharper - especially at base. The Radius looks more like an evil planet now. At night the colors really look brighter on it (at least to me). The red and yellows look brighter maybe?
Those fragments are super weird. Lol. Sorry I’ve been MIA, I was traveling for work so I haven’t even been playing VR at all. I did get my new PC! I’m so excited, I’m able to play with all my graphics on high. It is awesome. I got the RTX 4080 super with i9 intel core processor. Totally changes the game. I started a new game to play the new release since I missed the beta. I didn’t want to just jump right in with all my upgrades, I felt that was cheating. 😂
You got back at the right time. There was just a major update. Patch 0.12. Then last week we had a couple of smaller updates, 1, and 2. This fixed a few crash problems and the height calibration. You can also do repairs to your guns and use an anti-distortion mask to enter the red zones. What I am testing this week is the new entry points from the Peninsula to the Forest. Grats on your new PC! 🥳👏
@ thank you! - I know, I was in there for like two hours to test out my new PC. I started a new game because I felt it was cheating to go right in with all the guns and armor so I’m starting all over again, for the 3rd time. Lol. Gun cleaning is interesting, can’t wait for the paper and rod. I’m really looking forward to getting a helmet with a headlamp. 😂 I was so bummed that I missed the beta but at least I get to partake in all the updates now. Can’t wait until they add more enemies!
@@krystalb4336 Yes! But there is a time limit. I think it's 1 min and 19 secs. It goes by really fast. I almost died the first time. I wonder if the real mask (not prototype) gives you more time.

Ahh! Not the TV. If that breaks we're selling your treadmill and getting an 85".

You've definitely caused more damage to that TV than I have.. 😝
